Pretty interesting by lane. would be quite the feat

Based on his last Achilles recovery, I fully anticipate Brooks being available for our Super Bowl run this year.

I agree with this because I don't consider Ertz to be very athletic or a type of player who gets by with those types of skills. I thought the same with Witten and it's why I think he's a good comp for him. He's a great route runner and he's smart. Those are typically traits that do not deteriorate over time

I feel kind of the opposite.   I see a lot more bruiser/blocker in Whitten's game which has helped him extend.  Ertz has none of that in him.  He's a technician and precise route runner which will help him but I see him being a slant/10-yard hook/10 yard out player as he ages.  IF he signs an extension here I hope it's only a 3 year deal including this year.  Goedert is going to be the superior TE sooner than later and it's soon time to see what he can do as the lead dog.  I would hate to see the Eagles financially tie themselves to an aging (still productive) tight end while their young up and comer goes and signs somewhere else to finally start and come in to his own.  Then the Eagles have to start all over trying to find Ertz's replacement when not only do they have that in DG but they have a player who can be better.

Interesting piece.  McCleod isn’t a sub 4.5 guy. Never has been but he is probably as fast as Epps and Wallace and faster than Mills and Parks.  Slay should make him better as he should be able to trust his coverage.  Malcolm was a tackling machine and any of Parks, Wallace and Mills should be able to pick that up.  I think Wallace and Mills actually cover better than Mills.

Yea, watched it last night.  Coach Lynn actively has covid but he's staying 4 rows away from people in meetings.

The scene with them all trying to get Zoom to work was good.

Shouldn't he be taking a page from Doug's book and stay the hell home until he tests negative? Being out in public if you know you're COVID positive makes it look like he's taking a page from Typhoid Mary's book.

Has anyone seen photos of JJAW?  Not those, obviously, but the shape he is in this TC vs last.  I'm hoping he is less of a dough boy but without a Twitter feed, it's hard to know...

Ask Doug.  I wasn’t consulted.

I think as LMG said before, it's something he had previously this year and had already tested negative before camp started.  I mistakenly thought he was currently infected.

Although he did try on Derwin James sunglasses and told him he'd have them cleaned before returning them.

Yea, I think the biggest reason McLeod is still here is he rarely misses assignments, doesn't get fooled very much, and at this point knows the defense as well as anyone.  What I'm interested in seeing is how his role might change a bit with the way CB play shifts to more man concepts.  I don't remember seeing Rodney do much 1 on 1 in his time here, so I doubt they'll ask him to.

He's here for 2 more years.  I think it's almost a lock we draft a center field guy in 21.

Safety is very interesting. How does Will Parks fit in? If he has success does he extend? He would give a discount to stay in his home town.

Does Mills make a nice adjustment? Will Jim keep him at Safety or move him back to CB if Jones/Maddox struggle? i hope not. Id rather give Mills the full try at Safety and give Jones some time till we pull the plug for good.

But my biggest look out is a new DC next year and how they use all the DBs we have. Im still a strong view that Jim will not be here next season. His contract will be up and the Eagles MO is extending coaches/players they really want at least a season before the final year. There has been zero rumor talks of an extension. So that can change the DB stance a lot next year.

I am hoping they play more Cover 1 now.  Cover 3 is so much easier to complete passes against. Of course, the last couple of years in Cover 3, Mills would set up 10 feet deep and dope Darby would drop while the QB was going in his cadence.  No disguise at all.

As for the draft, I have given up on Howie ever drafting a S that I like in the first two days.  I do like the Wallace pick, especially where we got him. Good value.
