Won’t be the same... not even close. They’ll be spending 15 minutes breaking down Army vs Middle Tennessee instead of 10 seconds

The VAST majority of college games before conference championships are pretty much this:

I certainly like the NFL better than college football but I really wish College Gameday was on right now.

I love my Fall Saturday mornings.  Go out early, get my yardwork done, come in put on Gameday and get some housework done.  Then games all day.

I can't imagine Gameday being nearly as fun without the fans in the back however 😞

We really lucked out with the Wentz deal

Looks like they are going just 4 at DT. Potentially good news for Hargraves injury

This is a good review on Glenn

IMO you've got to go with Stoutland's final word on this one; that's why the team hires position coaches to develop and evaluate guys.  I agree with you; just bringing in Glenn for a workout pretty much gives you the answer.  I'm assuming Peters told them no, or he'd be over there and no need for Glenn to come in and workout.

Or the team remembers that they need a good plan B to Peters. They KNOW he's going to miss snaps/games.

Howie's been smart getting guys re-signed early more often than he's been burned.  Jerry screwed up caving into Zeke when he should have signed Dak

No but I think it would be surprising. Haven’t heard a single peep about him all camp

Cordy Glenn is a pretty damn good option compared to to the likes of Chaz Green, Jordan Mailata and Matt Pryor. And he’s sitting right there for us.

Why choose to go with inferior players who will assuredly hamstring your offense and eliminate 40-50 percent of your playbook? The Eagles has all camp to watch these guys. To bring in Glenn speaks volumes.

The whole "let the young guys play” only makes sense when you have young guys worthy of playing or you’re not trying to compete.

Edit: I should add that your example of Chaz Green further strengthens my point.

Not only that you are asking young guys to step in during a year where they had no otas, no minicamps and no preseason. This isn’t the typical offseason where they got the reps and you can gauge how far along they were during the preseason. Not risking wentz’s health for mailata who’s looked bad during training camp and pryor who’s not a LT in the nfl. At least cordy Glenn was good enough at one point to earn a massive second contract (5 years 60 million from the bills). If not for a concussion last year he’s likely starting in the league right now. He started 5 games last year and he’s even had experience at guard as the bengals moved him there for a while when they drafted williams. I’ll take my chances on him as my backup then three young guys who haven’t looked great in camp (mailata and pryor) and a rookie with minimal time

🧐
Tampa could sign Clowney now (or at least raise the price on the Saints)

I have a Facebook friend who lives in Cincinnati and is a die-hard lifelong Bengals fan. I just asked him his opinion on Glenn, and he replied, "Yeah, he's at least competent at LT. Not great, but fairly decent." It sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Incidentally, today is one of my favorite days of the year. Cutdown day is fascinating. Tracking all the Eagles cuts and noting what else is happening around the league. Unfortunately I have to go to a family event today and will miss out on the nitty gritty.

All you can really hope and ask for. I’ve been saying for over a week now he’s not great by any means. But he’s competent and can at least get the job done at an average NFL level. That’s more than i can say for mailata and pryor.

add on he has positional versatility. He played guard with the bengals as well for a couple of games til williams got hurt and they moved him back to LT

Me neither. I think keeping him would be a shocker.

For the Bausby fans.

Bausby, guy had some hype in camp a few years back. Apparently he was really fast gotta be more than fast to make it in the league.

You wouldn't know it by reading some of the stuff in here

Donald Penn is out there in addition to Cordy Glenn. Most Football Team fans I talked to said he did a pretty good job last year under tough circumstances. Wonder what's up with him.

How would you rate him on a scale of Demtress Bell to 10?

He’s just really old

Speed helps, cant teach speed and lots of players in the nlf never develop the skills they need to use that speed effectively and too often coaches get enamoured with speed and give those guys more chances than theyre worth.

Guys like WR stephan hill come to mind.

At this point in his career probably a 6 when healthy. Also gives me positional versatility as well which adds to the value. So if peters is the better LT i can move peters there and he can play guard.

Lol guess i jinxed him😄

That’s someone I’d be interested in as our third TE or for a PS spot.
