It's like they should be in a bubble.

I have the feeling that if there's a season -- and I actually think there will be -- every team will have about 5-10 guys on that list at any point during the season. I think the season can be managed that way, with guys cycling in and cycling out. Sure you might lose some KEY players while your opponents don't, and that'll suck for you. But you should be able to survive some hits like that. Now, if it gets to something like a quarter of rosters going down, well, that's when things could fall apart for the league.

The problem I see is that they are getting 5-10 guys on lists now when they aren't really doing anything besides working out, walk throughs and meetings. When they start actually playing, breathing, sweating all over each other is when you will see the real outbreaks.

No Eagles opted out today.

Senifeld was great, I've never watched Curb Your Enthusiasm. For me though, WKRP and Taxi are a couple of the greatest sitcoms ever devised. Without those shows, my childhood in the late 70's/early 80's would have been much more dull.

For me, SOAP has to be included in there as well.

I watched Soap a little, but without looking up the schedules, I think that there was something on opposite it that I watched more. I just can't remember exactly what it was, off the top of my head. Of course, one of the main things that I remember about that show is that Clayton Endicott III wasn't actually human, he was a shapeshifter from the Gamma Quadrant.

A generator is definitely a great thing to have when the power goes out, and every time it does go out for more than a couple of hours here, I wish I had a standby generator. But then the power comes back on and I think of that $10,000 (which is probably even more now), and I think to myself that I can rough it if I have to lol.

We live in the woods, so when a storm hits, power goes out everywhere.  We usually have to wait several days for restoration. Put in the stand-by generator right before Sandy hit.  One of our better decisions. Realtors tell us it's now become a must-have for the majority of buyers in the area.

How much use do you get out of it? I'd love to have one, but I just don't want to spend the money on it. One thing that I may have installed though, is a transfer switch, where I can turn my portable generator on and then throw a switch so that a specific room or specific breakers, will be run off the generator. At least that way I won't be running extension cords all over the house lol.

So he’s been attention seeking all this time.  Kids these days.

Some talking head earlier (Mike Florio maybe) mentioned that he may have vocalized his possible opt-out as leverage for the Bills to give him a new contract.  He would have been a perfect candidate for that as an all-pro CB last year going into the 4th year of his rookie contract.

I'm not sure if Stefon Diggs considered opting out, but the Bills front-loaded his contract yesterday, giving him $3 mil more this season.

Well, it's a function of weather.

Right now, we have no power.  It's been 48 hours.  About 80% of the region is out.  There is a tree still resting on the power lines on our street. I figure at least another 2 days until they get around to our street.

The entire house switched over ten seconds after the outage.  We can run the fridge, lighting, microwave, stove, hot water, etc. without any thought.  We can run our central air or do some laundry if we are careful.  It's nice to have a cool bedroom at night and a hot shower in the morning.

Even more critical in the winter.  We can keep the house warm and avoid frozen pipes.

Supposedly the Diggs contract was agreed to at the time of the trade, but it wasn’t officially done until he arrived for camp.

You seem shocked by the Phillies bullpen. Their ERA is 9.18 and teams are hitting .338. Klentak did an excellent job of doing nothing this offseason to fix the problem

not shocked but get a Fing out you are a Fing pro.

That is why I'm thankful I live in a development where one of the big wigs of Atlantic City Electric live. His wife gets on his butt the moment the power goes out and has it back within a hour every time, lol. Always goes back to the "Who you know" saying, lol.

This storm was not a big hitter for us though. Never even lost power.

There is a development near me that has a stand by generator for the whole hood.

Remember watching That Was The Week That Was with my folks. That was funny.  Introduced us to,Tom Lehrer. Except for All in the Family and Maude, sitcoms have been pretty much trash since then.

All in the Family and The Jeffersons are still a couple of my favorites too, along with The Bob Newhart Show (the 70's one... and actually Newhart in the 80's too), as is The Mary Tyler Moore Show. We watched Maude, but it wasn't one of our 'must see' shows.

Shows back then were just pretty much great.  Pretty much after Friends ended its run though, I stopped watching network TV almost entirely, save Survivor and the Eagles.

Bane???? Did this poster from the Eagles ever watch Batman?

I have this training mask. Looks a little more like Bane, lol. I love that mask BTW. I mainly use it for training but will wear it out now as well when I put in some filters in the vents instead the limiters.

Maude was a pain in the rump, but Bea Arthur was great as Dorothy In Golden Girls.

I had to see Maude sometimes, though .... just for Adrienne Barbeau
