Are you somehow opposed to social justice?  I don’t like cancel culture but I also think emotional intelligence is important. Diversity is important to maximize capabilities in most organizations and that requires some level of sensitivity towards others.  We used to interview to try to identify emotional intelligence in job seekers.  Group dynamics were highly important to our success.  Folks that champion social justice tend towards higher emotional intelligence.

Not speaking for him but Social Justice Warriors are the ones who take it to the next level.  It's real.  Social justice is great and I'm pretty sure we all want that.  We aren't this racist country that seems to be the common theme anymore.

Are you going to complain about lack of Eagles talk now?

I am shocked at how tight the media bubble is.  All we are seeing are fluff pieces and tweets. Hopefully in ten days that changes.  Literally a week into working on grass and pfft for info.

I feel like McLeod as a piece of this defense that really doesn't get talked about a lot.  Good, bad or otherwise.

I don’t buy for one second that McLeod is the leader of the D or even the secondary. I expect Mills and Slay to fill the leadership role in the secondary but Gerry to wear the green dot.

Yeah I'll agree with that.  I really hope Wallace can turn into that guy eventually. Love the attitude from that kid, but we'll see.

Not sure who exactly is a social justice warrior.  Can you name one? Diehard just chalks it up,to,folks that are offended.

I think he's JAG right now.  IMO, Slay and NRC are the only 2 with positions locked down in the secondary.  Funny how both are new to the team.  I think both safety positions and CB2 should be up for grabs.   Best man in camp gets the job.

NRC isn’t a lock. Not a huge contract.  He is competing with Leblanc and the loser of the Maddox/Jones battle outside.  Frankly, I expect there is a good chance the winner of the Leblanc/NRC battle is the dime back when the Eagles don’t go third S.

I think NRC is a lock.  They've pretty much come out and said he's a top 5 nickel corner in the game. I like LeBlanc a lot, I was confused with the NRC signing to be honest.  They seem to be collecting a bunch of the same player but it makes sense if they want to have a positionless secondary.

There may not be a lot to like about the Phillies recent moves/decisions, but they have held their own against the Yankees.

I’d be absolutely shocked if NRC didn’t make the team and wasn’t the nickel. He’s better than LeBlanc and both are FAs in 2021.

Yup. I think Eagles fans put way too much stock in LeBlanc

My favorite movie is Blazing Saddles. Can you imagine that being released today.

People today aren't smart enough to realize it mocks racism by being overtly racist

I love that movie. Also love history of the world. One of my all time favorites is Robin Hood men in tights.

Moving the football. Social justice warriors are a-holes living to be offended over everything and are destroying the country. There is a difference.

Watch the movie PCU and the people who get offended over everything. It's why a lot of comedians won't go to college campuses anymore.

IMO, Blazing Saddles and History Of The World Part 1 are Brooks best with Young Frankenstein in 3rd.

Sad to think most people nowadays would think him a racist when he was trying to use extreme racism to show how F'd up it was.

#contextiseverything

I still remember the songs to the Inquisition.

The Inquisition, let's begin....

The Inquisition, look out sin.....

We got our mission, to convert the Jew....

Yeah, when you're a teenager and this movie came out and then got regurgitated on HBO and Prism, you got to learn the lines.  "You care if it falls?"  "What?"  "The Roman Empire."  "F it!"

"Papyrus.  Rolling papyrus".  "We are now armed with mighty joint!"  So many great lines from that film.

I remember being at a wine dinner with one of the main bosses of my company and something came up that referred to a Brooks film, to which I replied that I know his films and that boss asked me which is the best.  I started to say that Blazing Saddles or either History Of The World, to which he was like "Stop right there" (meaning HOTW).

The inquisition song is really catchy. It really gets stuck in your head for days after you hear it.

spaceballs also another classic

Idaho Liberals Freaking Out Over a Gun Bill They Don't Understand ...

Or watch the movie PCU and the people who get offended over everything. Done with it now.

Very underrated film, IMO.  It really points out the PCU/SJW crowd and how ridiculous they can be when they take things to the extreme.  There's lots of great lines in that film.

The Cause Heads.  They pick a World threatening topic and stick with it.  For about a week.  From 'No Nukes' to 'Meat Is Murder'.  David Spade was gold in his role.

I love when they chuck the meat out the window. Funny how we laughed at it back then, but we are living it now. No way you could make that movie now.

There's an ish ton of movies you couldn't make now, because you'd offend someone.  We've raised a couple generations of thin skinned easily offended aholes.  The Thought Police is becoming more of a reality than we even dreamed.  We all have light/dark or good/bad in us, it's the part we choose to act upon that defines who we are.  It's impossible to control someone's thoughts.  Allow people to consider both light/dark and make the right choice.  Suppressing thoughts is how 1933 Germany got started, FFS.

Agree. Funny thing is one side of the aisle leans toward them, but it turns on all of us equally. Again, a lot of comedians aren't conservatives and they won't go near colleges right now because of them.

Whose thoughts are being suppressed? You think Hollywood is going to cancel a profitable movie because some people wouldn’t like it?

Some of you guys have this idea in your heads that you’re being oppressed because you can’t be overly insensitive without being called out and it’s weird.

Yup.

So then if you're good enough why not sit out?

Same old crap in here

I found this mildly interesting. Especially things like TB on first down and Min on 4th. But I would imagine the 4th down numbers are a bit more skewed by sample size.

Remember watching That Was The Week That Was with my folks. That was funny.  Introduced us to,Tom Lehrer. Except for All in the Family and Maude, sitcoms have been pretty much trash since then.

Mostly, but I liked Frasier a lot and Cheers most of the time.
