You know I was going to mention this character earlier when discussing racial stereotypes in movies.  Rob Schneider has done a few Asian characters and I find them all amusing.  You never hear a peep from the Asian community however.

Probably because he's part Asian

OK so his grandmother is Filipino.  Didn't realize that.

Joe Koy can be funny at times and really dives in to his Filipino mother.

Some idiot tried telling me guice was a better player than sanders. I was like the dude never stays healthy and has been awful in the 3 of 5 games he’s played in his career.

that didn't take long.  Not defending anyone for abuse but NFL players rarely get released for it, especially an hour after the report comes out.  I think what you're going to see from The Football Team this year is a lot of quick decisions to save face.  Ron Rivera has a say now and they also know that the new cancel culture is hot on their heels now.

Pete Carroll on line one.  Dallas doesn't need him.  John Gruden and Mike Mayock won't touch him.  Seattle makes sense.

Catholics had the Legion of Decency, equally repellent. Before that was the Hays office, which still exists in a watered down form. G, PG, R, MA,. Those guys. When I was a kid we all wanted to see movies rated X.

Tipper Gore.  Prudes from both sides of the aisle.  Proud, card carrying member of the ACLU.  I may despise your speech and speak out against it, but defend your right to say it.

I think the Football Team will give there players a shorter leash but I don't think it's just that reason for his release either. I'm guessing there is also video or Greg Hardy-ish pictures. He's charged with felony strangulation not just a vague abuse charge. They still have Ruben Foster afterall, and he's had his fair share of abuse.

I'll wait to see what other evidence comes out before guessing if he will play again.

Washington had to take a tough stance immediately because of the story about their culture/women a couple weeks ago. Otherwise he'd never have been released so quickly.  Or possibly even not at all.

Crap.  Guaranteed money is stupid. No one was signing him. Speaks poorly for the Avery trade, the Miller draft choice and the Toohill draft choice.

The Browns offered him more money than we did.

Toohill was a 7th rounder with some pretty crazy athletic ability.  I'd like to see him with phantom IR or PS this year.

I'm still on the Ostman bandwagon.  I want to see him come back hungrier than ever.  The Avery trade is a head scratcher.  Made immediate impact in his first game then nothing, couldn't sniff the field.

This is way more of an indictment on Miller than Avery.

Penguins lose, out of playoffs.  They have a 12.5% chance of getting the first pick in the draft....

Supposedly.  That sounds like agent fluff to me.

seems like a complete JAG

Sometimes you just pick a player your root for and want to do well.  I really liked his game in college.  He's relentless.  I saw a lot of Trent Cole in his game.  He isn't flashy by any means.  He might never be more than a rotational end but sometimes those are guys you really like.  I think Daeshan Hall had and still has potential to be a 3rd/4th end too.

The reality is, Ostman bounces around a few practice squads for a few years.  I just feel that he has potential to be more than that.  A lot of MAC players are chosen late or undrafted and they make decent careers for themselves just by outworking their competition.

players have always been like that , money ends up making things go away
