Joe girardi continuing to make stupid decisions. We are playing only 60 games. You can let nola pitch more than 89 pitches.

I don't know - it was 13-1. It was a good time to try to get Pivetta on track.

Screw that im tired of him pulling pitchers when they are pitching well to go to the dumpster fire of the bullpen especially when they are not super high pitch counts. Legitimately nola and wheeler last game in the double header were crushing it he pulls them after the 6th in a 7 inning Game at 87 pitches. He pulled velasquez to go to the pen which immediately came in and gave the lead back. And velasquez usually sucks but at least that day he looked ok. It’s been like clock work. He pulls a starter then bullpen gives up 7 so why pull them when they are cruising and not a super high pitch count

I don't know that players need to get paid.  What I abhor is the NCAA refusal to let the athlete capitalize on their involvement in sports.  Let them get paid to sign autographs.  Let them get paid to advertise.  Let them get money from fans of the school.  They could do all of these things without impacting the revenue from the game.  Frankly they should be allowed to be enter the draft and play another year in college if they don't like where they were drafted. They should be able to transfer schools freely.

I agree and have been saying the same thing all along.

And now we hope the penguins don’t win the lottery... also the rangers 🤞

Welp so much for that.  At least it wasn't the Penguins but sheesh every one of the Flyers rivals has serious young talent.

People should start linking other teams practice video and camp picture tweets to Eagles Twitter and tag them with sayings like 'Remember when the Eagles posted this stuff?"

Good idea.  What's funny is from the tone of tweets they do put out there I get the feeling they think they have this killer content that Eagles fans are knocking down the doors for.  Pick a trendy hashtag, 10 seconds of random UDFA player putting his helmet on, B roll o-line sled drive, 0.5 seconds of Reagor running, the must have Nova Care Complex sign and done.

If you're in or near Philly, I highly recommend La Calaca  Feliz on Fairmount Avenue. They have an outdoor seating area in back. The food (Mexican) is first rate and they make great  margaritas. They take reservations. https://www.cantinafeliz.com/menus

I’ll have the steak tacos al carbon with the Nachos a la Case with Chicken Tinga as an appetizer. Wife would like the guacamole with our nachos. The wife will have the chicken enchiladas or the mahi mahi tacos.  I will have the Santana Margarita, no salt and the wife will have the Patron, no salt.  Glad they hold the straws, I bring my own. Thanks for the recommendation.   Next time we are in Philly, this place is on the list. We will need a doggy bag.

Love tacos al carbon. Technically, that’s my fajitas because I grill the skirt steak. Looks like they may use flank, which works as well. Love chicken tinga.  You can substitute all sorts of peppers for the chipotle. Plan on drying some of my homegrown chilis and my cayennes so I can make my own Adobe sauce this fall and smoke some of my jalapeños to make my own chipotle. I have four jalapeños producing right now. Glad you suggested a mortar and pestle because I am close to drying some basil, thyme, oregano and sage for some fresh homegrown spices and I plan to grind mycayenne and maybe some chili’s as well

?  Who’s the Penguins "serious young talent”?

Penguins are in for a period if mediocrity or worse.  Flyers have the best and.most abundant young talent of all their rivals.  The Flyers D is on it's way to becoming the envy of the league (multiple excellent, young defenders that can skate and drive offense, along with an emerging goalie who is only 21 years old!)  Not to mention all the really good young wingers making hay now.  If Patrick and Frost can become good centers...

I’d say it bodes well for Grayland Arnold that Howie Roseman brought him up unprompted several times in the offseason, Rodney McLeod mentioned him the other day and he was issued number 33 instead of some awful number UDFAs usually get.

Also, this from Howie’s boy Daniel Jeremiah...

"When I’m talking to GMs in the evenings, like the question I always get is who are you higher on than anybody else you talk to, and the guy is Grayland Arnold for me,” Jeremiah said. "I like Grayland Arnold a lot. I know he’s undersized. He’s a little over 5’9″, a little over 186 pounds, but he’s got production. He’s just really instinctive. He’s fluid and smooth. He buzzes under these routes in every game I watch. He had a 71-yard return against Oklahoma on a pick. He’s just a playmaker. So he’s my 103rd player, but I think I’m higher on him than the majority of the league.”

Well look at that, another undersized slot type CB, surprise surprise...

No they didn't, he was a terrible fit transferring to the 4-2 base we run.  He's a 3-4 ILB.  Just because someone has success else where doesn't mean they'd have the same anywhere.

He looked pretty good in preseason. We were talking about it on the old board. He wasn’t even given a chance here. If your point was true, then the FO takes the hit for once again trying to force a square peg through a round hole. So regardless they made a bad decision.

YEP.  Some of you are blind to what is coming...I've been trying to tell you.  Don't worry.  We reached and drafted a project back up QB and a linebacker who is built like a corner.

In one of the best and deepest drafts in years no less.

Man.  You guys sure are butt sore over not being able to see practice for a season that’s not going to happen.

I honestly don't care.   I know I voice my opinion about the decline in Eagles information but I haven't even looked for Eagles coverage.  I come here to the EMB for any Eagles news.  I didn't even know the Eagles posted any content until the tweet was shared.  While I enjoy talking about the Eagles here on the board, my interest in the team has never been lower.  Part of that is probably because the lack of any content out there and the poor sports journalism in this city.

The point I was trying to make was that during an off-season where outside media access is not allowed, you would think the Eagles would go above the usual and give people more content and such because there were no mini camps to read about, there was no off-season program to hear about.  Training Camp is now here and you don't hear a peep.  How as a fan are you supposed to engage with this team and feel connected?

In the 2nd and 3rd rounds back-to-back mind you.  2nd round pick you hope never sees the field and a 3rd round linebacker who has to be taught how to play the position.  Not exactly what you want to hear.

Yeah part of me agrees with you, and part of me wonders whether it is a good idea to give the fans false hope right now. If/when they cancel the season I will hold the organization fully accountable (as if they care) for the content the put out. It is really getting depressing doing my daily eagles google search just to find the same articles and stories last for several days at a time.

Yup. Been quiet, weve got no one to blame but ourselves. New Zealand just passed 100 days without any new covid cases, theyve resumed sports and life and here we are in the US still arguing about masks as cases and deaths continue to rise. I dont imagine football is played and if so i imagine not for very long.

Wack job ? Why becaus his opinion differs from yours?

You need to take a break from this board ,it appears you live here and its apparently too much for you to handle.

Well real training camp starts this week.  So hopefully we will start seeing some real content.
