Kempski just did 3 trades that make sense.  I really like the first one.  Jaylen Samuels is a Swiss Army Knife at running back.  I'd give Avery for him in a heartbeat.  I don't like the others he proposes.

I don't see enough upside from those guys for any of those trades to make sense.  A guy who averaged 2.7 YPR and 6.5 YPC -- yikes; it's actually hard to be worse than that over a full season.

Douglas for Cashman would be good.  I like the Avery trade the least as I think they need depth at DE.

Avery has an uphill battle to even make the team.

Yep. The Mailata trade makes no sense whatsoever. The Chargers loading up on LBs does not speak well of White, and who is our swing tackle this year???

I come from the school of thought where a 2nd and 3rd round pick should be borderline starters or at least 1st year contributors.  To use a 2nd round pick on a 3rd string quarterback/gadget player is a wasted pick any way you look at it.  Using a 3rd round pick on a tweener linebacker who has to learn how to play the position is another wasted pick.  Taylor is a ST player at best this year.  We already went down the Mack Hollins road.

You want a gadget player at quarterback, put Greg Ward in the backfield and utilize his quarterback background.  At least that's more disguised.  You can motion him from the slot in to the backfield and that will catch a defense off guard.  If a defense sees Hurts coming in they know to be alert.  It's not a recipe for success.

You got your wish

Probably don't have a traditional swing tackle this year. Pryor would be backup RG/RT. Peters backup LT. If the line is decimated with injuries or COVID Driscoll is the next guy up at RT with Herbig at G? I don't really like the idea because of all the moving parts but that's what it sounds like based off player interviews.

OK what's the point of posting something like that?  Do people need THAT much attention on themselves?  If something doesn't go my way I put my head down and keep moving forward.

He says he's fine.  However, maybe someone else has covid or an injury.  Hopefully not Carson.

Cause it’s his twitter and he can.

🙄 I understand that.  I just don't understand why.  You post "can't catch a break".   OK do you want our pity?  Do you want thoughts and prayers?  I just don't understand the constant need to bring attention to yourself.  Clearly people responded prompting his "keep calm" tweet.  Well Miles what do you expect when you're in the national spotlight and you bring attention to yourself?

I know this is an overreaction on my part to a miniscule tweet seeing as we don't know the context yet.  However this is more of broad reaction to people in general who act like this.  I have family members who post everything under the sun on social media when it's no one else's business but our family.  It however brings attention to them for some unknown reason.

Can’t wait to see what the starting 5 for the Sixers will be today.  Does anyone still "Trust The Process”?

i sure do - it was terminated far before it was complete. the process was brilliant

Respect for that yes. I’m not attacking man I’m just saying we have a season for draft depression

No.  They have earned the reputation well before this year.

Sure, but let’s wait until draft season to have the depressing draft history talk, yeah?

The talent was fine, but they’re soft ..... soooooo soft.  Add in a terrible head coach.  Might as well have the My Pillow Guy as coach; he’d connect with these players

The DEs are Barnett, Graham, Sweat, Curry beyond that there is Miller, Ostman and Toohill.  I think that Avery has a leg up on those 3 especially because he has some versatility to play in a 2 point stance.

Ostman was going to be kept last year as the joker (2 point stance).  I just don't see Avery having any advantage over any of the others.

  How was it terminated?  You wanted Hinkie around longer to draft more soft immature "stars”?

I didn’t want the soft Sixers ownership to bow down to Adam Silver and hire the moron Bryan Colangelo in a fraud GM search. Additionally when that one didn’t work they wouldn’t let any GM who is of any value bringing his own people to run the team so any GM was going to be forced to work with the people already in place which meant no one with any clout or GM experience would want to take that job.

like brown and players deserve massive bashing for what’s gone down. But really ownership deserves way more than anyone is giving them. The ineptitude to run this franchise has cost the sixers as much as brown and players. Brand and colangelo as well as some of Hinkie’s own picks have wasted assets that were accumulated.

I'm hopeful that we will see improvement from Miller. Ostman looked really good last pre-season I just don't know if he will be healthy.   I just think Avery has a better athletic upside.

It is always draft season.  Spring practices, fall practices, games.  Who knows what this year.
