So, if the NFL season kicks off and overcomes the virus impact, it may be the only or close to the only new programming on tv in the fall. That means we may be inundated with political ads those first couple months.   As much as it will be difficult, I think I will DVR games and start watching about forty minutes later to avoid.  I hate political ads.  Right now, I am recording local and national news and watching a half hour later to avoid the political ads.   Am I the only one that hates them?

Nope. I hate those and the millions of signs seen all along the road.

I'm thinking about doing that anyways to avoid other things I don't want to see as well.

The only reason I don't possibly want to do that is so I can **** about terrible plays and play calls in real time on the blog.

The NFL and Eagles basically don't exist right now.  There is a total information/entertainment lockdown with the Eagles, with the exception of the players and coaches dropping like flies to injuries, extracurricular concussions, COVID, opt-outs, and retirement.  Nothing we want to hear or see until week 1, if that even happens.

Sixers and Phillies are a depressing follow right now.  They are reaching the much-anticipated coinciding crescendos of years long rebuilds...and we are witnessing the sad reality that the maturing products just aren't good enough.

The town is ready to be painted orange, because all hope rests on the Flyers at the moment.  Fortunately, you really need to go back to the 90's early legion of doom squads to find more fresh optimism and excitement from a Flyers team.

I still don't know the format but I'm excited for more Flyers hockey.  Carter Hart, the blue line, TK, Farabee plus our vets...I really like this team.

This sucks to see.

Those beer companies will fight for their airtime.

It's also market driven.  I'd suspect a lot of adds in the Philly market and the other battlegrounds (e.g. the Florida teams).  Not so much in NYC, Boston, California, etc.

Pennsylvania is getting inundated with presidential ads now. I cannot imagine how bad it will be in two months.  It wasn’t until my third TV that I got a remote and my fourth with a mute button (third one was my first color TV).  Thank the powers that be for the mute button. It also really works well when Joe Buck, Troy Aikman or Chris Collingsworth start to grate on my nerves.

Good point. We can just skip the start.

STHU and take it to CVON you wack job.

My opinion about football not being played due to complications with Covid are just as football related as any other opinion about how covid is has or will effect football.

NBA with the " bubble" has done the best job at containing the virus but a bubble for the nfl with teams that have 10× more players and personnel isnt feasible or logical.

Whats going to happen when a team has an outbreak and they cant fill a roster, they going to hire scabs?

How many confirmed cases does a team have to have before the league shuts the team or league down.

College conferences have shut down before their seasons even started.

I dont have much hope that an NFL season happens and if it does it finishes.

Even NZ who went over 100 days without any confirmed cases just had 4 cases that they dont know the source.

US covid cases and deaths are still on the rise, as much as i want to watch football and see the rookies and all the rest each day that goes by i lose a little more hope that the season ever will be😞

Way to jinx them!  They were doing great but you can't compare an island nation of what 5 million who closed their borders to 330 million Americans where are most infected locations are the most densely packed and where we had international ports.

Lol yeah just saw this about NZ and while i get that NZ and America are geographically populated differently Japan is something like 16× more densely populated than US and has handled covid better.

It is what it is. Maybe Trumps failures containing Covid is a mass conspiracy to get back at the NFL that wouldnt let him be an owner😉

More China virus mumbo jumbo.

Here’s my opinion

- People are wussies.
- Things can and should gradually be able to get back to normal

- However, things can’t and will take forever to get back to normal because it’ll be lawsuits galore since positive cases are inevitable.

- People wanting to live is not a problem

-Things will gradually get back to normal when we have a vaccine.

-I’m not a fan of lawsuits either, but risking lives for the economy will come with lawsuits.

IF. There's still no vaccine for HIV
