People thinking that a preseason win is more important then 10 picks in a draft is mind blowing to me.

I see a team more willing to trade for a guy who has a year left on his contract then a team having to do a sign and trade thats all.

Again He holds more value to the Eagles  playing this year under his contract then getting a higher draft pick in the upcoming draft where the college season might not even happen and you have no clue on prospects. I much rather have Zach play this year for us and get a lesser pick next year then have a higher draft pick in a unknown draft situation

I'd take Beaskey over agholor every day of the week. Especially with Fletcher Cox playing next to him.

Vic Beasley is a 246 pound OLB.  He is not a DE.

It was also not 8 to 10 spots. There were four other teams at 9-7. If the eagles lost with tiebreakers they’d have moved up 2-4 spots at max. Which Gil Brandt predicted agholor all the way back in like the beginning of the draft process. So you don’t think they would’ve taken agholor in that draft two or three spots higher? I’m pretty sure they probably still would have

We had that pretty well figured out even before he got his shot last year.

I hope Moorehead is spot on. But frankly i don’t believe anything when i hear hyping up rookie wrs after JJAW and baldy and some others propping him up.

Eagles coulda had the #2 overall pick but they won that meaningless game and dropped all the way to #20. Idiots!!!

Ask Romo.  He makes almost $5 mil more next year than the greatest coach in the history of football for about 1/100th of the work.

Well I mean those 2 are way different situations.  Romo played, Mcvay didnt.  Romo is too old to play so it makes sense for him to go into broadcasting.  Mcvay is coaching and still young with a bright future ahead of him, possibly.

I'm sure if Romo was healthy enough he'd still be playing.

So Devante Parker and Melvin Gordon we're there in those spots

2nd round Eric Kendricks and Mckenny we're in those spots(we got Eric Rowe)

My feelings that year, will be the same every year when we have a meaningless week, 15, 16 or week 17 game. Lose so we get a better draft position.

Yeah because any coach, GM, owner, or starting QB is going to say hey let’s lose the next 3 weeks so we get a better draft pick... it’ll make the fans happy.

And Melvin Gordon is highly overrated. He is the most overrated running back in the league. He had one good season in that one good season he still got hurt. In his career he’s under 4 yards per carry think about that. He was the starting running back for the chargers for years and only one season did he go over 4 yards of carry. They were never going to take Melvin Gordon. Especially after they signed murray and Matthews and had sproles lol

And Parker wasn’t there if they moved up 4 spots to 16. He went 14. So you’d have had to trade up. So still you’re wrong.

also if we are going to throw things out there if chip Kelly wasnt running the GM spot you probably have Jeremy Maclin back and you’re not looking to get a wide receiver

How do you know that is who the Eagles would have selected ??  Chip Kelly was the coach, I can guarantee if we selected at 14 or 15, the commish would have said

"The Philadelphia Eagles select Arik Armstead, DE, Oregon"

Then it would have been

"With the 45th selction, the Philadelphia Eagles select Jake Fisher, OT, Oregon"

This, but you're going to have to trade him now if you want to get any value IMO

Probably wont get much.  I dont think teams view Ertz the same way we might.

Whoever trades for him are they going to make him a focal point of their offense or just use him sparingly?

Not only that, they signed Ryan Mathews and Demarco Murray that off season. So why with those two along with Darren Sproles were they going to take Melvin Gordon? who wouldn’t even been there at 16 because that’s the highest they could’ve moved up and he went 15. Like I said before Parker went 14. The Eagles never had a shot pick 14. They would’ve had a trade up from 16 which was the highest pick they could’ve had if they lost that game to the giants.

Trust the Process

That worked out real well. It’s absolutely ridiculous when fans think teams would seriously lose on purpose for a couple weeks.

Some on here dont think Ward will even make the team.

2nd round pick or not, I'd take Ward over JJAW anyday.

Dolphins tried it this past year and still managed to win games. Tanking in the nfl is really much harder than the nba.  Frankly I think the Jaguars are trying to tank this year to get Trevor Lawrence let’s see how that plays out

Agreed.  And just because you have a higher pick, does not mean you are going to select the player picked in that slot, and you still have to get the pick right.

Look at the first 20 picks of this draft, without researching I count at least 10 guys not even with the team that drafted them.

Currently JJAW is on my irritating Philly sports and athletes list. Right up there With the Phillies bullpen, Simmons, klentak and frankly the entire sixers organization.

Some think the Pat's will tank this year to be able to draft Trevor Lawrence.

Belichick is not going to tank.

He’d have to refrain from cheating for a year. I don’t think that’s possible for him.

It’s perfectly reasonable to go into a season or two knowing it’s a rebuilding or retooling year. But you will always plan to win each and every game.

Not sure Belichick has to tank. With all the guys he had declining to play that’s going to hurt them and I just don’t think they’re that talented on offense. Sanu, edelman and harry isn’t a great trio. And i believe sanu is on Pup currently. Their weapons aren’t very good. Oline is solid.  Their defense is still good is good enough to likely win them 6 games. I’m betting they go 7-9 or 8-8.
