You literally said you wanted the Eagles to lose week 15, 16, and 17....

They wanted to tank so bad they drew up a pass from the kicker to punter. Could have been the other way around

I'm as big of an Eagles fan as any, but sometimes to get better you have to take a step back. They weren't winning with all the injuries...regardless of the "any given Sunday" cliche. Sometimes my rooting for them turns to draft picks to get over the hump next year when it's a lost cause. Not saying that's how I was last year, but I've felt that way in the past.

The timeline is off. The eagles went 10-6 the year agholor and beasly were drafted and 10-6 the year prior so not sure why theyre being mention when the eagles won their last few games after kelly was fired and shurmer was interim and the following draft wentz was drafted at number 2. What the heck does any of that have to do with agholor or beasly???

What I think he is saying we would have moved up from 20 to 8 by losing 1 game.

Cam Newton's 2015 season is one of the greatest of all-time. He's a top 5 QB of the 2010s.

I’d argue better this decade: Brady, Brees, Big Ben, rivers Rodgers, Wilson and luck (debatable on him but I’d say he had much worse talent around him and forced him to want to retire)

His 2015 was great. However he still didn’t pass for 4000 yards and had a 59.8 completion percentage (35 passing tds and 10 picks— wentz if be played last three games was on pace more Passing tds and less picks in how 2017 season). His rushing ability is what elevated it from very good to great. still think he’s overrated.

Well, Jerry will say it was 40,000 but it will really be like 6,000...

Jerruh has the biggest crowds in his biggly stadium with the most biggly glory holes😊

I agree with that statement 100%

But sports are very fluid, and your expectations week 1, arent the same in week 10.

Can I hear your top 5 from 2010 to 2020 please

Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Newton, Wilson.

Howie should have got that Ertz deal done, TE numbers going up.

This isn’t the NBA... one player alone  (unless it’s a QB) isn’t going to make a huge difference.

So rooting for your team to lose never makes sense unless then losing gets the #1 pick and the next Manning or Luck is coming out. Rooting for your team to lose and go from pick 19 to 14 is dumb.

Would rather the team’s young players play well and win to gain confidence.

He tried.

The one thing you can never accuse Howie of is not trying to get extensions early with players.

Not saying he didn't, but it is gonna cost him now.

Yup.

Get your QB and then draft well in the twenties.

Higher draft slots don't necessarily mean a better team.  I give you Oakland, Jacksonville, Detroit, Cleveland, Washington as teams that perpetually draft early but don't do it well.

Wasn't going to happen.  Ertz correctly waited for Kittle to reset the market for TEs.

I think i remember that year the eagles had clinched a playoff spot at 9-6 and won a meaningless game against the giants to go to 10-6 dropping their draft spot to 20???

And who were the players drafted before agholor?

There were a bunch between 8-20 that were good players.

I actually wanted Byron Jones in that draft, he went a few picks after agholor to dallas of course.

The draft is a crap shoot. While chances of hitting on a player increases with a higher selection the hit % increase from 20-8 is minimal at best.

Its not like the eagles winning dropped them out of the first round and if Kelly hadnt inexplicably just cut desean they arent drafting a wr in the 1st anyway.

I mentioned how Ward was constantly out their celebrating others successes on the field last year when he was called up.  Kid has definite leadership qualities, always has.

You mean like a former QB?

I hope he can carve out a role for himself on this team.

Cam Newton had 1 year lol. He's a .500 QB with a terrible TD to INT

Yeah.   I'd say Rivers and Luck were better QBs for the decade as a whole.

Probably due to him playing QB in college, i assume some of that leadership carries over.

I think a lot of people have counted greg ward out and while i dont think hes a stud i think hes reliable tough smart and has good hands. I think having jason avant the sultan of slot will be beneficial to ward as avant wasnt the most physically gifted receiver but was tough and smart and had good hands and was a great teammate hard worker on offense and teams.

Unless he makes a giant leap forward, I hope that role is WR5 and maybe PR.

Brady

brees

rodgers

wilson

Big ben/rivers (I’d add luck but he retired and dont think he had enough games to qualify for it)

comparing cam and Big Ben

big Ben in the decade (and he basically missed all If this year):

3125-4819 (65%), 37243 yards (per game including only 1 complete game he played in 2019 3724.3... if not including one game season which brings his total down a ton 4100 yards per game), 236 passing tds, 7 rushing tds (243 total tds), 110 ints and 655 rushing yards and a QB rating of 95.5 in 131 games (Counted three two from this year)

cam newton:

2371-3980 (59.6%) 29041 yards (3226.8 yards per game) 182 passing tds, 58 rushing tds (total of 240 tds),  108 ints, 4806 rushing yards and 84.7 qb rating In 125 games

As a QB I’d take Big Ben over him this decade. He was a far better passer of the football and a lot of cam’s rushing tds are goaline runs

And Big Ben. Big Ben was better. The statistics prove it out. I’m torn between which of Big Ben, rivers and luck were better over that span. Luck i have trouble cause he retired and he could’ve had even better numbers he missed 3 years of the decade due to being in college, injury and then retiring.

LOL

Make that WR4.

Matty Ice who I'n not a big fan of and Joe Flacco too.

If you add Cam's rushing stats and passing stats, then compared them to Andy Dalton theyre almost identical.

Forgot about Ryan he’s definitely up there too. He’s quietly outside of 2016 been putting up ridiculously good stats. in 2018 his stats were on par with his mvp year of 2016. He threw for only 20 less yards, 3 less touchdowns and .5 percent completion less (69.4– niceeeee)

This may be going on elsewhere.

I can imagine several teams having difficulty differentiating their players from a woman in disguise.  :smoke:

I'd take Beaskey over agholor every day of the week. Especially with Fletcher Cox playing next to him.

We get it dude. You love meaningless preseason games, the earth is flat and the butterfly effect keeps you up at night.

no you really don't
