Things I like:

1. The opportunity to over-analyze camp snippets instead of debate politics, literature, or history.  Anyone who wants to bash people for reading into things too much, find another forum.  That should be cheered on.

2.  Reagor/Jackson starting together.  I expect almost zero availability from Desean, but those two starting together, for however long it lasts, is going to be wonderful.  More importantly, when Desean leaves in the offseason, that brief glimpse will hopefully encourage the FO to replace him with another Reagor instead of a JJAW.

3.  Nice to hear that another young WR, Watkins, is catching passes from Wentz.

4.  Dillard goes down (and is fine) and they don't immediately reach for the Peters crutch at LT...or is that just because Peters isn't practicing?

Neutral:

1. Dillard goes down.  There is a reason everyone is quick to hit the panic button on Dillard.  No one knows what to expect, he had an up and down rookie season, Howie can't seem to find first round talent, and the offseason was lost.  So every hiccup will understandably be magnified.  Additionally, any missed time at this point could certainly be impactful.

2. Peters not practicing.  We knew this was coming.  This is why no one had any interest in him.  I still like the move, as it combines a RG addition with flexible LT insurance.  Even on the opposite side of the line, Peters knows his craft and knows how much work he needs.  I'm not worried that he's bailing on camp, per usual.

Things I don't like:

1. Barnett starting off the season week to week.  He already looked like the waterboy in the DL offseason workout photos.  We already know that he "is what he is"...a good contain DE who doesn't sack the QB, generates decent rush, has a tendency for bad penalties.  Overall, that's not a bad starter.  But persistent availability issues could be a real problem for his career and for the team in 2020.  Not a good start for his make or break year.

2.  JJAW on the sidelines with a "sleeve on his leg," even if he is only day to day.  After how awful he was as a rookie and the complete loss of the offseason, every day that passes without him looking like a professional athlete is another nail in the coffin.

3. Reagor catching (or dropping) punts along with Ward.  We are asking Reagor to start on day 1 after no offseason...and to potentially line up in multiple spots.  He's going to be swimming as it is.  Let's not ask too much.  Let Watkins/Hightower/Killins/Scott, who may not see as much time on offense, use PR's as an opportunity to showcase their speed and get their feet wet.  And Ward is just a set of hands who knows where to line up.  That's your fallback option, but don't start there.

4.  Hargrave with a multi-week injury.  It's obviously early, but you know how the Eagles are with their injury time frames.  If they say it's multiple weeks, are we sure he still has a pulse?

On some level you've gotta feel for Mailata

Gets drafted with no experience practices at LT

Next year they move him to RT where he goes to IR with a season ending hangnail

This season he's back at LT.

If Dillard cant move from LT to RT how do they expect someone with no football experience to do it?

I'm not much of an O-line expert but I would guess it's much easier to cross train someone raw to play both spots vs a guy whose played only one for years.

Between this and refusing to talk about players by name, Joe Judge sounds like he's going to be a terrible coach.

Yea, he got absolutely destroyed on twitter last night because he said "I could luck into a home run" if he played in the MLB

There's nothing wrong with trying it in training camp.

4.  Hargrave with a multi-week injury.  It's obviously early, but you know how the Eagles are with their injury time frames.  If they say it's multiple weeks, are we sure he still has a pulse? This is the only concerning injury.

Do we consider shuffle board a sport? And do we think it requires athletic ability?

Dillard Draft Pick

Pac 12 is the gift that keeps giving

Dillard will be fine, they are limiting his reps, nothing to see here.

If we’re talking actual difficulty within the 4 major sports. I’d say it’s...

Hardest to easiest:

Hit a Home Run

Score a Touchdown

Score a Goal

Score a Basket

Peters LT week 1 prob

Scoring a goal is the hardest purely because of the skating factor.

30 million kids played baseball or softball last year

22M for BBALL

Flag football is up, tackle is down, but still reaching about 10M kids

Hockey has less then a million.

I’m thinking open net, but there are athletes who train for baseball and can’t hit a HR. That’s just not the case with the other 3.

I'd probably put Goal ahead of TD in difficulty. Only chance an average joe has at a NHL goal is empty net or have a lucky bounce off his stick. For a TD you could draw up some easy trick play at the 1

I could see that.

That’s kind of a toss up imo. Open net Vs blown assignment.

I think it's:

Home Run

Score a Goal

Score a basket

Score a TD

I'm not saying I could do any of them.

Yes.  Hit a major league fastball.  Or better yet.  Hit a major league change up after a major league fastball.

Rhys hoskins has this issue and he’s a "major leaguer”
