I think if Dillard goes down, JP slides and Brooks goes to G and Mailata stays some where on the bench Isn't Brooks on PUP? Or are you talking about when Brooks comes back? 1 hour ago, RLC said: Calm down guys When did Dillard get injured? 10 minutes ago, downundermike said: Damn. That sucks for him. There's always a big name player that just gets to a team and then gets injured. Glad it wasn't us(knocks on wood)
August 17, 20205 yr Author We've been waiting forever for the first real practice. Tons of online reaction. Plenty of Eagles debate to be had. And yet....we devolve to considering the hierarchy of sports difficulty.

We hosted an event here in York the Can-Am Police Fire Games and one of the competitors ruptured both quads while squatting. They rolled up his leg. 400 pound man in so much pain I felt bad. He had come from Minnesota and had to drive back in a van. That is not a fun injury.

Unless you feel we should analyze how Deseaon Jackson walked onto the field and a debate about the mask he was wearing? I'm good. BTW, hitting a home run is harder than scoring a goal, unless you define a goal as a penalty shot. Then the skating really becomes an issue.

But once you peeled back a layer you'd realize it was money Funny how they do that It's both really. They don't have a TV deal they can rely on and they need attendance to generate money. They also need money to set up testing and other safety protocols so they can play. It makes more sense for them to just not have a season then to be buried in debt.

Rolls, waggles, boots, etc. Especially off of behind-the-center play-action. He is ridiculously accurate on the move.
August 17, 20205 yr Hitting a HR for any normal folks is probably the easiest. Local organization I'm part of was able to go to our minor league stadium and take BP a few years back. They had their BP pitcher lobbing them in there but I was able to get a hold of a few. I hadn't swung a bat in ages, never played past 8th grade and I was still able to get some out of the park. The tough part is when you get 90+ MPH or different pitches. However, if you luck out and get good contact with a 90+ pitch the exit speed produced will certainly help. For hockey are we talking about an NHL goalie? That would be next to impossible IMO. Regular Joe's like us, on skates, trying to take a slapper with a stick past a padded goalie. Nope, not happening. Scoring a basket, are we open on the wing just taking a shot or do we have a 6-9 guard in our face? NFL, TD I think you could time a juke to at least get some space. But again what are the circumstances? Trying to score on Sidney Jones or Joey Bosa? These conversations are always fun. We al want to think we could hang in some capacity. I was a d-lineman in my playing days. One practice they let the lineman try to cover our WR 1-on-1. I thought, this is cake, I can turn my hips, I'm an athlete. I got dusted. I never felt so out of place. Same goes with these scenarios. I've never even been on ice skates and I would love to see what it's like to take a slap shot, even if the net is empty. Just to see what it feels like.

You may "swing" the stick kind of like a slap shot, but the puck would just slide feebly along the ice. As for hitting a 90 mile an hour fastball? For me, eve if the bat is lucky enough to get in the way of the ball, well that about says it all

So it's not just hit a HR during batting practice, it's going against a pro pitcher that has not only speed but can also accurately target where he wants it.
