Or, he could study Cam ... and do the opposite.

I think Panthers coaching helped ruin him

He can use his mobility.  He needs to study film on Russell Wilson.....

Slide.....get out of bounds........throw it away.

He should study Deshaun Watson. He’s impossible to sack

I think you're right.

Never said trade Goedert.  My fear is they give Ertz a massive contract and won't be able to sign Goedert when the time comes.  Hence, getting away.

I don't think Ertz is getting a massive contract.  Maybe extend him for 2-3 years at a rate just under Kittle and Kelce which is about what he deserves.

It only seemed that way - 44 in the regular season and 11 more in the post-season. But yeah. A "normal" QB would have been sacked 70+ times.

Combat waivers for you!!!!!!!

I think he's making a jab at someone who said Watson can't be sacked. Don't remember who it was though

Look at these future NHL all stars who can stand up and skate. Impressive part of the 3% who can do it

I don't think they would sign Ertz to a deal that makes Goedert too cost prohibitive.  I could see Goedert wanting to go somewhere where he's TE#1.  I think Ertz's career has the same trajectory as Witten's and he's likely to be very productive into his mid-thirties.

Same guy as the combat waiver nerd

I dont understand the Ertz Extension talk.

you have the heir apparent, Ertz isnt getting any younger and these TE contracts are going up and up.

He's the team's leading receiver and has been the entire Wentz era.

Sounds like something Joe Judge would make his players do if running laps isn't helping.

Sounds like Bradley had a pretty good day. I’m not really expecting anything out of him, but with the bare bones at LB hopefully he can contribute on ST’s

It's no surprise that players are getting certain injuries - a normal off-season is tough, but this one is even tougher.  The Eagles being cautious is the right thing to do, but it can look off from the outside in.

For someone like Dillard, it looks awful as there are so many questions about him, but let's be thankful the Eagles are hopefully learning from previous mistakes.

But... The NFL is back!

LULZ. to think skating is as easy as swinging a bat

The key to skating well is having skates that fit. Without that, no chance.

I've made it known I don't want him extended at all.  Just looking at realistic scenarios and things that are very Eagles like.

and then? Thank you for your service.

9 years in the league, 30 years old making (probably) 13 Million a year with Dallas Goedert is a recipe for disaster.

DG probably asks for a trade(I dont blame him) and now an aging tight end is the center of your offense. No thanks

Howie will figure it out. I don't think Goedert or Ertz are going anywhere within the next few years

Well. while I understand your argument and even share much of it, here's my issue with it that I can't get past. Production beats talent. I will grant that Ward probably is the least physically talented WR on the team on the measurables...unless you count production.  His skills are limited to getting open and catching the ball. These limited skills are shared by players like Adelman and Amedola, but not by Agholor or JJAW. I see people ripping Ertz for much the same reason: he's just not physically impressive. However, he knows how.

It should make you happy to see that we drafted a track team. All those guys are fast, really fast. Maybe they can push Ward down the depth chart and make you happy. If they can produce more than Ward with their better talent I'll be happy too. I wouldn't hold my breath though

There are caveats here, of course. Ward's CV is not even half a season's worth. To me, he showed a lot; to others he showed less.

In my youth, the Baltimore Colts, with Johnny Unitas, had Lenny Moore at one WR and Raymond Berry at the other. Moore was much faster but Berry was the clutch receiver. They were a good pair. I think with some burners on this team and Ertz in the 12-15-yard range Ward can wreak havoc. With that grouping he won't have to be particularly fast; he'll just work the holes those other guys will tear in the coverages. I think that putting a fast kid in there who doesn't have Ward's feel will be counterproductive and production is what I think we both want.

All Steve Largent did was get open and catch balls.  I will take production every day of the week.
