I think they're giving him more of the shotgun zone read plays according to what I have read.  Bo Wulf, Zach Berman and Jimmy Kempski have all said he should be the number 2 QB as of now.  They all think he has a better arm and moves better in the pocket.  It does make me feel like he will be a decent player.  I still don't agree with the pick in terms of the use of resources. He would have been a good 4th round pick.  2nd round picks should be a future starter.  The Eagles don't need a future starter at QB.

I think a 2nd was an appropriate price for Hurts.  I can see the argument against the use of resources and deferring to find a different project QB in that range though.  Fully recognize I'm in the minority with defending the pick, but I really don't hate having a plan B at arguably most important position in any major sport.  

Assuming these aren't serious it'll be nice to get the fringe guys some reps.  Should be an interesting competition for RB3/4.

It's not exactly double dipping when you went into the draft needing 3 WRs and your only answer moving forward is another rookie (Reagor) that hasn't yet put on the pads as a pro.  They need X, Y, and Z.  To be honest, they need both to pan out.

This is a huge gripe of mine with the Eagles.  They sure have hit on 2nd rounders (Miles Sanders, Godert as of late) but 2nd and 3rd round picks should be a huge part of your core starters if you are trying to build a winning franchise.  It's why I don't want to see Goedert walk.  You can't just use 2nd round picks then let them get away.  Sidney Jones, Davion Taylor in the 3rd just seem like wasted picks to me.  

How great would it be to have AJ Epenesa in the mix at DE right now?  He's going to be a starting DE in the league for 10 years.

Eh I don't really see Epenesa as a good fit for a 4-3 edge.  Not sure I buy that a questionable fit DE is really worth more than a upside backup QB.

Yeah it seems like it.  If he's truly "back" that would be huge.  Beyond him Holyfield/Warren/Killins will be interesting.  They're all very different players. Seem to remember seeing Killins lined up with the recievers though.
