With Jones day to day and not out there with the injury, that is a bit of a reach statement. That said, hard to win a spot in the tub.

I had high hopes for this pick but I just don't think he's gonna pan out. He doesn't show much and he's always injured

I think that’s the first time I’ve seen Taylor mentioned positively.

And Foles looked like garbage the first 2 games of 2018 as well.

He also looked like garbage against the Falcons.

I was the biggest Foles supporter after Wentz got hurt, but in Morris' defense, Foles did look like hot garbage in that week 17 game, and Sudfeld looked quite a bit better.  I was a little worried.

He also was bad against Oakland the week before. I wasn't on the "start Sudfeld train" but it was perfectly reasonable to be worried going into the Atlanta game

Foles has always been streaky. We just got lucky he was streaky good at the right time.

As one of his "haters" this would make me very happy

He’s doing 1v1 reps against track stars in drills that favor the WR. We want our receivers to be able to win here. It’s a good sign for them, not a bad sign for Big Play Slay.

Slay knows he is making the team. The WRs are working to make the team.  Look at the NRC breakup on DJax. Running stride for stride.  I don’t believe NRC can run stride for stride with DJax.   DJax and Slay are being smart and avoiding soft tissue injury because as we have seen this week, any bit of tightness gets the player shut down.  That’s a good thing, too.

Yeah sadly I agree.  Who knows if things would have been different had he not gotten hurt before the draft.

Remember him, Kevin King and Budda Baker all came from Washington and he was supposed to be the best of the 3.  Looks like now he's the worst.

Me too.  I mean i really do get the reason on why they said he struggled last year as he was learning 3 positions.  He probably got Walch fired.  I guess they expected a stanford grad to be smarter than most but the guy was a hot mess last year.   This is pretty much a do or die season for him.  I dont see him going into year 3 if he does not improve drastically this year

If you ask their fans they'd say the Cowboys had more injuries than the Eagles last year.  Hard to believe but I think it's true.  Only problem is besides Vanderesch, all their other injuries were to 3rd and 4th string guys that nobody really knows.

If Slay struggles then I think we have to look at Schwartz's scheme and maybe that's the issue with CB play.

They would be very wrong.  I guess if they're counting banged up practice squad players then maybe the numbers get closer but if you're looking at actual impact of injuries Football outsiders gave them the 4th best injury luck last year.  We were at 21.

He’s going to need something along the lines of 30-40 receptions, 500+ yards and 3-4 TD’s imo.

Too much solid, young talent at WR imo to keep giving him reps if he doesn’t start to contribute.

Eagles probably lead the league in Australians on the roster.  Johnston is the best of them.

That, and his confidence got shot; if he catches that game-winning TD against DET we might have seen a different player.

Practice reps have always been set up to favor offense in some drills and defense in other drills.  He is also playing one on one without the rest of the defense.  I would not read to much into it.

I’m not reading too much into it but you’d still like to see some tweets of him doing things well and perhaps even being the pro bowler he’s getting paid to be.

Also just expecting another CB bust.

Nope.  It's only because Howie drafted a ton of HOF wide receivers.  Don't blame Slay.  Blame Howie.  He's just too good at drafting.

You should get Howie’s initials sown onto your Hurts jersey

No, I get that at the time Foles looked bad against Oakland and in limited time against Dallas and gave cause for concern. I’m talking well after the Super Bowl though when we knew what Foles had done against Minnesota and NE. It was at that time that Morris thought Suds could have done just as well.

There was one day I took a jab at him in a thread about Foles doing what he did and he then PM’d me calling me a coward and then making that reminding me Suds looked better in that game. I told him I’d raise him 3 post season games, and his response was to tell me that we only scored 15 against Atlanta, ignoring the other two games. I guess in the depths of Morris’ mind, scoring 15 points in an NFL post season game is less impressive than scoring 0 in a meaningless regular season finale that was treated like a preseason game.

Did that tool make it to the new board ??

I always chuckle somewhat derisively whenever I see a QB putting up anything less than 9 yards per completion.  To me 19 completions for 134 yards is somewhat pathetic -- unless there are some TDs to go along with it.

I don't believe in Sudfeld at all, but that's not just directed towards him.  Almost any week in the NFL some talking head in the media brags about a QB with a similar stat line -- when they really didn't accomplish anything towards winning a game.
