Mailata was a fun project.  Take that lottery ticket in round 7 every time.

Ultimately, he did not play football until coming to Philly.  Then he proceeded to come to Philly...and not play football.  He's someone who really, really needed a developmental league.  It will be 3 years now.  There are probably guys who showed up to D1 schools without any football background and will be playing in the NFL next year over the same time frame.

He will go to the Steelers, they will move him to a 3-4 DE and he will start for 8 years.

Ostman continues to dominate Mailata. Are we sure Mailata makes the team?

He still has no accrued seasons so he is eligible for the PS.  Comes down to him and Tega Wanogho.  I do wonder who gave up two sacks to Toohill.

Mailata is a year younger than Dillard. He's 23.   I don't think they will need to fake an injury to store him away.  He can play on the practice squad.  Alejandro Villanueva was 26 before he became a starter.  Give him time.  There's no reason to stop the project as long as he's working on improving his play.

They also have that rule this year that 6 players can have unlimited accrued seasons and still be on the PS

Hurts is on ESPN talking to those little kids with backpack story and its really cool. Talking them up and saying they can do anything they set their mind to... the espn host is making it as cringe as possible tho.

I was watching "Alone" last night and one of the contestants "tapped out" as she was leaving she said "this experience has taught me I can do anything" I'm thinking okay then why did you tap out?

Lanes got that Stone Cold Steve Austin look down.

The guy last summer who started with him and Brooks as they were driving was an idiot.

Mailata will never clear waivers. He's not going to be on the Eagles practice squad.

Yeah, but being able to and wanting to are different things...esp when you are on the menu. They still giving them horns for bears?

Maybe she was tired of eating squirrel.

I would assume the Eagles would have a pretty good idea if that was the case.  It's not like he's lighting it up in camp and there's no pre-season. He's a project for whatever team claims him.

For a Million bucks I think I would "want to" for 16 more days when you already stayed  84 days.

Generally agree, there will be some other OL coach that will love his potential with the attitude he will be the one to unlock the guy. I do wonder with COVID though how many GM's will be willing to give a roster spot to an outside project that hasn't shown much in 3 years.

She would be on Kramer’s side of this argument:

Rabid Trump supporter Jack Del Rio leading the faux woke DC franchise is so perfectly Dan Snyder.

Obviously a horrible situation for Rivera, who seems like a genuinely good man.

Yeah if you’re a Trump supporter you can’t coach football...

Time to move on. Sometimes experiments fail- ask Albert Einstein about failed experiments. This is one of them. No harm, no foul, move on. The guy is NOT a football player. Just talk like John Madden in reverse- instead of saying "This guy is a football player!"- just say "This guy is NOT a football player." The end.

Thats going to be rough. Guess depends on his treatment and how his body reacts to it. When i was going through treatment there were patients that were working daily and others like me that were in bed throwing up for 4 months straight.

Hopefully since they caught it early his cancer is stage one. Carcinomas can be nasty.

You pointed out a football coach was a Trump supporter... so yes.

I forget if I read it here or on twitter but I recall someone asking who Toohill got sacks against. Anyway, it was against Mailata on the 2nd team OL.

Sweat had a good showing against Dillard. Malik Jackson worked over Seumalo a bit too.

Id argue one can but id question ones critical thinking skills and critical thinking skills are key for coaching football.

But hey jack del rios extensive experience in football may be able to over come his lack of judgement in politics we'll see.

WRs should beat CBs in 1 on 1s.
DL should beat OL in 1 on 1s.

Both happened, as expected. Not a big deal.

I just finished watching season 6 where the guy only needed to last 77 days in the arctic.  That was about 76 days longer than I would last.
