I think if there’s ever a year you want to have a tough schedule early, it’s this year. Teams might be a little off early, so a lot of the games could be pretty neutral and tough to predict who wins. Better to face these teams early than late imo.

The defense imo has more questions then the offense. On offense it’s will peters adjust to RG and can dillard be what we thought when we drafted him. Two big questions but i think after that as long as guys stay healthy you have an offense capable of giving you enough points to win games. Plus i think you could always move peters back to LT if dillard fails and have pryor at RG and be solid along the oline  

defensively I think there’s questions all over. Are their linebackers good enough with gerry, Edwards, Taylor, Duke Riley and the rest? Is maddox going to hold up at the second corner position? Is the depth behind maddox and slay good enough if they sustain an injury cause jones can’t stay healthy and is looking more like he might be done here. Douglas has been inconsistent when given a chance. At safety you have Mills at Safety but really he’s playing the position at the nfl level for The first time so there’s a learning curve. Can parks if he struggles be consistent enough for a bulk of a season as a starter? Is mcleod going to be closer to 2017 form or 2019? (Id say somewhere in between). Are Brandon graham and Barnett good enough as starters at DE (both for different reasons— Graham’s age and decline and Barnett stay healthy and be the player they thought when they drafted him). Way more questions on defense. The questions will be answered at some point in time. I’m hoping more of them are positive 

Maybe this is the real shocker. I got a kick out of him on Howard Stern, now we get to enjoy him on the EMB.  We are truly blessed.

Anybody been watching camp intensely? Wondering if they put in a whole lot more swing packages for Sanders. Start using him like Westie on those screens. That kid's deadly if he gets an angle.

Alshon and JJAW, together, are useless in the same offense.  Alshon, in his current form, is useless when running 12 personnel.  JJAW is useless when running 12 personnel.  

So I'm hoping the Eagles don't actually even want him to come back.  There is just no room in this modern day NFL for a 12 personnel offense with 2 plodding possession WRs.  That was a horrible, fundamental error by Howie and is something that he aggressively sought to correct this past offseason.

But part of correcting that rests on Doug.  You can't have Ertz with another 100 rec at 10ypc this year, while hoping Alshon becomes a part of the offense again, and phase JJAW into the offense.  I hope NONE of those things happen.  It makes one question the brain trust when they (at least publicly) commit to all 3.

Sure, in a perfect world , what you want to do is be able to threaten a 5 yard run EVERY first down... Then you can play action... blah blah... Idea is get the safeties pulling up with Reagor and Desean on this offense? They'd be unstoppable. 

But not the reverse. No matter how much speed you got. You're not going to just line up and outrun everybody. That hasn't happened in NFL since the Faulk Rams. People will play 7 DB's.

Now you get the Safeties pulling up to the right and get isolation on the Left .. One on one. You're going to win a whole lot of those for big chunks.  But it never shows if you can't do the basics.

Who’s Baltimore’s starting safety’s now? Also the fact seattle didn’t want to retain him (money and other factors) and Baltimore who I’d argue is a top 5 team heading into the season wanted to get rid of him speaks volumes about the guy.

I tend not to lust after players over 30 joining their 3rd team.  Not a whole lot of home runs on players that fit that description.  Offhand, I can only think of one time that has gone well.

Earl Thomas isnt what he was in Seattle but still probably better than any safety we currently have.

If he does end up in Dallas they probably have more talent than any team in the NFL.  As we all know from the Dream Team year that stock piling talent doesnt guarantee anything.  But every level of their team has play makers except maybe CB and TE.

It’s pretty amazing that we are in late August and Logan Ryan, clowney and now earl Thomas are all out on the market. I get Thomas not what he was but still three bigger names.

Now, their O-line is getting old and worn down, their corners aren't good, their D-line has one really good but not great player, their RB is now on the downside of his career, tight end suck, QB can't win against winners.  Cowboys talent level is like their owner, a series of cosmetic face lifts

Some good comments about Casey Toohill from camp. Seems like a better prospect than Shareef Miller on paper; not sure how Miller went in the 4th and Toohill in the 7th.
