Kind of how i view it. Why would you signed here to potentially be behind cox, hargreaves, jackson, ridgeway and be the 5th DT struggling to make the roster whereas in Detroit might higher chance of winning a roster spot. Go look at the lions DTs much higher chance of sticking on that roster.

Blows it? Blame?  Pretty harsh for a guy who got into his first O-line stance 2 and a half years ago in Bradenton, FL

He's a journeymen DT whose been on about 7 teams in the last two years. He could just want a TC paycheck. He and his agent should have enough info about a teams interest and if Detroit just wanted to work him out to get some intel on him. There was also like 5 other DT's working out with him.

Not harsh at all. He's in his third year. I don't expect to see am all pro but if he isn't at least serviceable by now is he worth keeping on the roster?

I'm a big fan of the signing, really, how many 7th rounders even make the team? He had such a long way to go you have to wonder if it can be done.

He has a way better shot at making the roster in Detroit then he does here if hargreaves is healthy. Look at the lions roster at DT. I think he was almost a lock to be the 3/4th DT. I can’t imagine fighting for a roster spot with potentially 4 guys ahead of you and a guy they like in rush whereas with the lions he’s battling with Frank Herron, John penisini (ha), olive sagapolu, Kevin strong and Nick Williams. 

Again if this is true i definitely think it could be somewhat concerning.

Yea but who knows how the workout was going. Lions also were working out Elijiah Qualls, Kevin Wilkins and some others, all younger guys than the soon to be 28 year old. It's possible he saw the writing on the wall and that he wasn't going to get a roster spot on Detroit. For all we know it could just be Undlin paying him a favor and giving him a workout although they don't intend to sign him. McGill also worked out for Buffalo and didn't get a roster spot. He might just be desperate for anything.

I'm not ready to worry about Hargrave just yet. They had to rotate Avery, Leo and Toohill at DT because they were short on bodies.
