Too bad i thought he could push Holyfield for that spot but seems holyfield has a pretty good grip on the 4 spot and AK is gettin reps on offense.

Oh well as long as somebody produces its all good.

I think it was Kempski that raised a solid point. Warren is the type of back who, if he's going to show, would be in preseason games against live tackling. His running style is hard to show off much of anything when its just these thud practices.

Burnett is a slot-only guy so he has almost no chance to make the team. Nice practice squad guy though.

Warren seemed too slow to me. Holyfield apparently has a little more juice this year. I wonder if he cut some weight.

yikes

Reading subtweets from gunner he’s had intel told to him and this matches up to what he was told.

Reading too much into that, Jeff.  Ostman seems to excel at bull rushes. What better way to fix anchor issues for both Dillard and Mailata.   Take a script from JP, punch hard and quick but disengage and shadow.  Thing with a bull rush is the power momentum makes it susceptible to steering with a correctly placed punch as long as the OT is properly anchored.  Week two, Stout in progress.  This is more fixable than Pryor’s inability to counter speed.

Burnett will be gone. What's the issue?

Sweat pushed him back a few times as well

No issue. He's just having a very good camp. If there wasn't a numbers crunch he would probably make the team

Is there any difference in the rules about claiming other teams' PS players this year? I know the size is different and rules on veteran players, but don't remember if there were changes on claims.

That would make me feel better about putting  like Watkins on the PS to start the year. You can't tell me a talent depleted team like the Jets wouldn't be interested in scooping up a young developmental speed receiver who had a solid camp.

You can protect 4 from being poached on a weekly basis. But they still need to clear waivers to get put on the PS initially

Probably. Just think they really like the rookies they drafted. Put him on the PS and protect him.

JJAW on a mission to make a lot of people on here look pretty stupid.

If JJAW is just below-average instead of terrible, it makes getting rid of Alshon even easier. We're all on board with this.

As for Dillard/Bull-rushes, that's not that big of a deal. Bull-rushes are the "least efficient" pass-rush move if your goal is quick pressure. It takes more time to push someone back. As long as our WRs/TEs can separate it should be ok. However, teams with good pass coverage AND strong bull-rush will cause problems for us. FYI, this is what the Pats/Lions run.

Awesome.  We have a ton of good mexican options here where I live.  One place is an old gas station that makes their own shells.  I've warmed up to the Carolina BBQ, when I make it.  Because I don't dry it out by chopping it up so much.  I am more of a Memphis style fan, but it's good the way I make it.

Ehhhhh. It’s a pretty big deal still.

Man I hope JJAW makes us all eat crow.  It's just camp but sounds like he's a different player.

I don't remember how he looked in camp but remember JJAW had an 8 reception 100 yard and a TD performance in a preseason game last year.  I've been preaching patience with him but let's not get ahead of ourselves over a few good practices either.

I'm sure he has all of our usernames written in his locker.

Best chicken-fried steak in Austin too, can't remember the name of the place but I saw Leon Russell in there. Best roast chicken at Vernick's.  Best breakfast ever was a truck stop in the middle of nowhere in Utah.

Best chicken fried steak was Dirty’s in Houston (RIP). Still looking for a replacement.   I will have to try Vernick’s after Covid. Hope it survives because I do like roast chicken.  Not much of a breakfast eater.  Perfectly happy with loaded hash browns and a side of bacon once a year.  Used to do that at the Waffle House outside Lehigh when my boy, a friend or two of his and I would go the TC. Beignets at Cafe du Monde remind me of my childhood. Little secret to avoid the crowds, if you are bypassing the Crescent City on I12, there is a Cafe du Monde in Hammond. Same great beignets. My mom’s brother lived nearby and my closest cousin grew up there, so going to NO, we usually took I 12 out of Baton Rouge to the causeway so we could visit my uncle.    But that story of yours is why you eat local. Miner’s pies (think loaded pot pies) at a little joint in Anaconda MT.  Flaky light crust and almost an Irish stew type filling.  Some fifty years later, I can still taste and smell them when I think of them. We were camping in the National Forest west of there and panning for gold in the stream or river by the campground. One other family in the campground, a retired couple with an asthmatic boxer camping in a converted bread truck. The husband told my dad about the place so he drove into town and got us all miner pies for supper.  Damn good.  JR may appreciate this, there were still Burma Shave signs up on the backroads in sky country back then.

I don't either, but if both are safe on the PS would you keep a spark at KR or a guy whose not going to play much?

Fourth RB will likely be inactive. So....
