Georgia. A lotttt of stuff gets filmed their for tax breaks.

A lot of film stuff is going to Georgia with everything going on covid in California and its much cheaper to do in Georgia for taxes like you said. Tyler perry opened his studios in Georgia for Hollywood directors to use during this.

I don't remember how he looked in camp but remember JJAW had an 8 reception 100 yard and a TD performance in a preseason game last year.  I've been preaching patience with him but let's not get ahead of ourselves over a few good practices either.

Amen. Could be he is getting targeted in front of the media on offensive 10s to silence the criticism.

That would be a terrible use of practice. I hope the coaches and players are way smarter than that.

Yup.  Clearly managing perception in Philly is the number 1 priority of training camp.  Reminds me of the Reagan skit from SNL.

I know this isnt the place to discuss but you'd think police would realize by now that everything is being recorded.

Which is a good thing considering he had a knife in his hand that you can see in pictures, couldn't be tasered, and went to his car for a gun. Even with all that people are still freaking out. Imagine if it wasn't on tape. What should be done is they STFU and go back to focusing on football.

I'm with everyone else that I'd be happy to eat crow on JJAW

I either want to eat a lot of crow and be VERY wrong on JJAW...but what I don't want to do is eat a little.  This offense does not need another slow possession WR.  So either he turns into a baby Michael Thomas because I'm so wrong and he's just that good...OR he needs to just go away.  I don't want him to turn into a semi-serviceable 11ypc 50 rec anchor for the offense.

The officers involved didn't have body cams.  It was a bystander's recording.

What I don't get is that the police have a permission structure to use deadly force at the first perception of a threat.  That actually moves the risk towards the citizen to have to consistently avoid creating that perception.  If race is inherent to the perception in the minds of the police officer, then the risk is even higher.

That's it.

Glad Desean and Malik Jackson are on the team's social justice committee.  Makes me really care about what they think and decide to do.

I've heard that too.  Didnt see the video but was told he was resisting arrest and went into his car when told not to.  But at the same time he shouldn't be shot 7 times.

No I know about body cams.  But even if they dont have them on like you said someone is always recording with their phone or a security cam from a store or business is recording.

Hate to say it but maybe some communities, including white too, need lessons on what to do when approached by police.

yeah and you would think suspects would realize you should comply to police officers orders and then situations wouldn't escalate . just a question too

This is a really slippery slope by NFL teams.  The Lions already boycotted a practice.  Do we need demonstrations by teams for every incident?  Sadly, and the reality is that there is going to be violence in some police interactions.

Blake, while paralyzed from the legs down is still ALIVE.  We don't know the whole story.  What we do know is Blake was not a model citizen (neither was George Floyd).  This is not saying they deserve the treatment received but it does come in to play with trying to determine what actions they might take in retaliation.  Blake had a history of run ins and I'm sure the police were aware of this in how they handled him.  He did not comply to the police, he fought with the police even after a taser had been deployed, had a knife in his hand and was going in to his car.  It sure sounds like they tried to get Blake under control.  With that being said, I don't know why it takes 7 bullets.

I'd hate to be a police officer.  You have seconds to determine your course of action despite your training.  Every situation is different, every human acts different.  To be in their shoes where a taser didn't work on the suspect, the suspect refused to listen to orders and proceeds to reach in to a car for who knows what.  What if Blake did make it in to the car and grab his gun and was able to turn on the police shooting them? Would 2 wounded officers be a better outcome?  Would 2 dead officers be a better outcome?

I don't want to see anyone shot, anyone killed no matter their skin color.  Do police need more training? Most likely.  Are we creating a world where half of society despises the police, doesn't respect them or listen to them?  So many of these incidents could be avoided if people just did what was asked of them.

With that being said, I hope the Eagles players have an internal discussion and keep it at that.

Every black family I know, and I know a lot, who have male children have had "the talk."

Multiple officers were firing. If they are shooting him it is to bring him down. If the guy didn't go down with a taser my guess is he didn't drop right away.

The Chris Rock video is pretty spot on.

I mean Greg ward never did it in college yet we had him back there doing so last year. I still think teams are going to try and push him into that role. I believe clement had 2 kickoff returns and zero punt returns in college and the eagles made him into a kickoff returner prior to the injuries.

Ward has been doing it in practice for a couple years. He had the only PR for a TD in the AAF.

I agree 1000%.  Both sides have some fault.

He was very good as a pass rusher in college. He was a seventh round pick because he was bad at sealing the edge, tackling, playing the run and getting off of run blocks. I mean really bad.  These tweets and observations tell us nothing about that.

Should not have to.  You are innocent until proven guilty.  If you are pulled over for a tail light out, the police should not be looking for and profiling you for other crimes.  Just because you are out after dark does not make you a criminal.  The color of your skin does not make you a criminal.  I have been the passenger in a car pulled over driven by a black friend, and I can tell you from personal experience, that stop went a whole lot different than when I was pulled over by myself.

I have been pulled over with a white friend, it should have been obvious to the cop we just smoked, and my friend had an open container.  The cop checked my license and registration, then asked for my buddy's license, after seeing it he says " They let you Montana boys drink in the passenger seat don't they " " Yes sir " " Well we don't do that in Washington, so pour that out and  you guys are on your way "
