Longest deer shot I ever had to make was 300 though. I don't hunt anymore but my first deer (during doe season) was a 300 yard shot in the Alleghany National Forest near St Mary's. I was 13. Pops had already got one early opening day. I borrowed his 30.06 bolt action shooting 165 core lokts and went back out after we drug his in. An inch high at 100 always as he and I both hunted a really long firebreak. I went back out and on my at the top of my 600 yard break some guy from another camp was there on his way to do a drive or something (as he, too already had one from earlier) and we spoke for a moment. Doe walked out by my big tree that I always stood at, I went to one knee, waited. next doe was on the edge going left to right and jumped. Hit her as she landed. Guy standing there said something like nice shot. Walked down there, did my silent prayer, cleaned it up and dragged it back to camp going via B route. My Father comes to the break traveling A route and in his travels meets the same guy, who, when he realizes he is talking to the father of the kid that made that shot, talks me up nicely to him. Unlike here, now, I talk no sh** at all about it later when I tell the story to my very stoic father and Uncle with a similar disposition, who already know it was a pretty spiffy shot. So I come out looking good all around in their eyes. It was a good shot.

Game ranch? Nope not at all. Those things are smart as hell, have great eyesight and can boogie for a big animal. They were imported to New Mexico and released on the White Sands and others missile ranges in the 50's. Since the habitat is very similar to Africa, they have thrived. They mostly stay on the range where they know they can't be touched but occasionally they wander off range to public land where you get a chance. Tough tag to draw and tough hunting conditions (almost 100 degrees in the desert). I want to draw that tag sooo bad!

If brady hasn't lost it , he has never had this much receiving talent. They could try and offload Evans for picks

I'm taking current QB situation into account....as in next 2 years drafts. You could see 10 quality nfl starters over next 2 years ,imo Really deep qb drafts ,almost cant screw it up. Nah, Nimers and Rams and all of NFL will do the same. QBs will be getting paid. They will all do it over and over and over. Eagles won't regret it, they are patting themselves on the back. Whether you think the QBs deserve it or not, fair enough, but the NFL does and will.

July 25, 20205 yr Jets had no choice but to do this deal, but I don't hate this for Seattle. They don't value 1st rounders anyway.

The Fitzpatrick trade was a steal, although you can argue he's not as good as Adams. Hopkins for a 2 remains the worst deal of the off season.
July 25, 20205 yr Wowee, Seattle ponied up on that deal. Crikey. Is a Safety really worth all that draft capital?

For elk, I am shooting a 300 short mag all day long. That is one bad round with little recoil. Next choices would be .270 and 7mm mag. My boys used to hunt with a .243 and a 6mm . Yes both of those will easily do the job

It's a lot to pay up on the presumption of making the playoffs each season.
