I read an article that maybe one day will be true. Hot takey right now. But really might turn out right. LeBron as the face of the NBA has ruined the league. Michael Johnson, Hakeem, etc were building something. Jordan took it to a whole other level. LeBron came along, and all this political BS he is always involved in has people tuning out and the NBA is back on the downswing in popularity with him as its face.

Overall, this season's primetime games have averaged 2.74 million viewers, up 16 percent from the first Thursday of the 2019 playoffs

Avery absolutely caught a break. If its not an ACL, and it's in the knee, it could still be the meniscus, MCL or LCL. Without video, hard to speculate.

It's pretty alarming the takes some have on businesses and property covered by insurance vs actual human lives.

I mean this is just one of the wildest things someone could ever believe. To blame this on LeBron. Yikes.

Kind of believe not having sports for like 5 months will do that. I think baseball and hockey were up too. But i was only told that and have not actually checked the numbers.

Nope. Not sticking. Kid was able to handle himself better than most adults. And you know nothing about why he was there or if his family has property. And I can bring a rife across state lines. Kids under 18 can also own guns in some states for hunting if given as gifts.

If I'm right he was defending himself and it was impressive to be able to at his age. If you are right then he is a murder. Either way I'm not saying the loss of life is a good thing. I'm always happen when someone is able to defend themselves against attackers.

He was not licensed to own a firearm in Illinois.  You have to have an Illinois FOID card, he did not.

He wasn't in IL

he knew how to shoot for sure , i saw video and he was on the ground when 2 guys went to stomp him out but a step away and he popped both of them and then a 3rd guy was a foot from him with a gun drawn on his head when he popped that guy threw his gun drawn arm where that guy won't be using his arm again. crap people need to stay home and think about what their actions should be before just running out to join the mayhem.

I don't really think that's a hot take. Look at the ratings since Jordan left and even now since the bubble return, and it's just a fact that less people are tuning in. I'm all for social justice and seeing the necessary changes and a lot of this crap ending, but the bottom line is some people don't like mixing orange juice with their coffee. They watch sports for sports and if they want to tune into current events they'll put on whatever news source they get it from.

I also just think a lot of people find it hypocritical and superficial watching multi-million dollar athletes complain about being treated differently and how awful this country is.

I've always called LeBron a social media justice warrior. He puts out "riveting" tweets and instagram posts (like the one below) to get likes yet I didn't see him at one rally when a lot of NBA guys went out their way to go to them like Jaylon Brown and Russell Westbrook. Hell, Kim Kardashian has done more for social justice reform than LeBron James, yet he's supposed to be the beacon.

Wisconsin generally prohibits the intentional transfer of any firearm to an individual under age 18.1

The state also generally prohibits the possession of a firearm by any person under age 18.2

These restrictions do not apply, however, when the firearm is being used by a person under age 18 when supervised by an adult during target practice or a course of instruction.3

He can join a white supremacist gang there.

Do you know why he was in that state? No

Do you know who gave him the rifle? No

Do you know for a fact as of this very moment he carried it across state lines? No.

You want to talk tough without facts go for it. A weapons charge as a minor at worst isn't going to be much of an issue. There is no way any jury will convict him of first degree murder. He is getting off. Either way I love the kid and am so glad he took out the people trying to hurt him.

I don’t see how in the world they are gonna win this in overtime. Like typically when you blow a 3 goal lead in a game it’s super hard to overcome that wave of momentum by the other team and usually get steamrolled. Add on the Flyers have been playing a defensive shell game. Hard to just flip the switch back to how the first period was going.

This aged well

Damn this place has really turned into a cesspool. Just one more place that drives the media machine when it comes to politics and "social justice”. So much for a new EMB.

look i'm not saying what happened was right but from the video i saw you could argue self defense , since he was running away when he fell and then got swarmed by a group who was armed too and clearly shows a guy with a gun pointing at his head when he was on the ground. but like i said i have no dog in this fight just an thought. this is what happens when your not a responsible gun owner , which i am and would never GO to a riot armed

Yup. In my defense i said typically. I admitted never been more thankful to be wrong. Usually that doesn’t happen. Also how is this not called offsides and goal disallowed

He already shot someone in the head at that point. You can’t argue self defense after doing that unless the first shot was also self defense.

I think you're starting to see people out there just having enough of what we've seen for the past 3-4 months. Burn down enough cities and destroy enough people's businesses/livelihoods while knocking people unconscious and shooting them dead in the streets, and you're going to get people like this take measures into their own hands. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I'm saying it's a reaction and a side-effect to what's been happening.
