I actually hate LeBron but dam he has never committed a crime and loves his kids and always was actually a good guy and took care of his family even with his opinions and he gets trashed so bad.

Referring to himself as "King James” doesn’t endear him to us common folk.

I don’t despise him as some do, and unlike Kobe he can actually be seen passing the ball on occasion, but he does come across at times as out of touch.

If the Lakers made it to the finals, they weren’t losing to the inferior Eastern Conference squads.

the question was always, "can they make it out of the west?”

I actually think the clippers are the best team. roster wise. However I would argue they had one of the toughest matchups in the first round because Luka was playing out of his mind and i actually think dallas is a better team then the rockets, thunder. Besides the nuggets getting the jazz i thought they had the second toughest first round matchup.

I don't disagree but you just showed that most of the hate is actually basketball related.

Baseball.  They postponed or boycotted games today too.

It's just baseball isnt important so it's called "that other sport".

Yeah I made the same argument when they restarted. It was 4 1/2 months of layoff. That’s an entire NBA off-season of time off. You weren’t going to get the same exact finish to the playoffs that you would’ve had if they didn’t have a stoppage. For instance Ben Simmons was not gonna play in April in the playoffs when it started. It just so happened he got hurt it played ouT that way anyways but that could’ve been a huge factor for the Sixers compared to if they would’ve started in April.

Additionally 4 1/2 months of time if you’re in the gym practicing and doing what you’re working on your craft then you could be a better player with that training and development then what you were when the season stopped. That’s an entire off-season of time. And there’s players who also opted out so that changes the dynamics. The only thing that was different was there was no NBA draft and there was no free agency otherwise it was an offseason of time off and a much different dynamic.

Not only that but now the sports seasons are all screwed up for the NBA and possibly college sports because they want to postpone until the spring.

NBA should have cancelled and just started a new season in October like normal.  NCAA football cant postpone till spring.  Either start it in September/October at the latest or dont do it at all. None of this spring football BS.

Welp

Problem is the NBA hasn't figured anything out.  They are still trying to figure out what to do.

LBJ I'm sure is a good dude.  I'm just sick of hearing he never has enough help.

And I get sick of hearing people call him the GOAT.  Top 5 all time but definitely not the greatest of all time.

Idk what people expect a sports league to do, they have literally zero say over anything. Shutting down the leagues does what? How does that end racism? If that's what they want to do I'm fine with it but what is the end game, if not to just appease people who would otherwise be calling for their heads if they kept playing?

A lot of people criticizing the NHL for playing their games today but they'll criticize anything. Leagues can't just make statements anymore or moments of silence they have to cancel games and threaten to shut down otherwise they aren't doing enough.

I asked the same thing over in CVON. Their "platform" is the NBA and the game. It's why they have BLM on the court, the slogans on the jerseys, interviews talking about what's going on, etc. By canceling the season they are essentially canceling their platform and fading away from the public light. It feels like empty virtue signaling that really won't accomplish anything in the long run.

This stars-avs 3rd period has been nuts. Stars down 3-1 score 3 straight. Then Colorado ties and takes the lead in the span of 2 mins.

I’m pretty sure Herbig makes it over Opeta. I’d also put Bradley over Singleton and Arnold over Epps.

Herbig seems too fat to me.  And I haven't seen his strength.  I don't remember it from last ps.  I know Opeta can anchor.

Yea, I think Bradley makes it as well.  I'll defer to you on Arnold.  Though I thought Epps played well last year.

I’m just purely going on tweets. Herbig was getting first team reps at one point and was consistently on second team where Opeta I feel was second or third team. Could be wrong but it just seems like he’s been higher on the pecking order.

Other two are just based off beat reporters. Just feel like they both stood out more. In all honesty I think about 48 spots are locked and the last 5 or so can go either way. It’s especially hard to predict in this weird offseason.

Wait, are you assuming what they are assuming ? Sounds kinda racist but I’ll give ya a pass, you’re white right ?

Maybe... I’m really hoping he’s not a guy who got paid and then slacks

I think this is rare.  The vast majority that get paid don't slack off while a slim minority do.  Just on the Eagles now: Cox, Peters, Brooks, Johnson, Kelce, Ertz, Slay, Graham have all gotten paid and never slacked.  Alshon?  I think he just can't stay healthy.

Singleton over Bradley?

Number #1 rule of gun safety is to not point at someone you don’t intend to kill. Being armed is one thing cause you fear for your life (which is an entirely other topic), but pointing armed guns at people? Not okay.

If the shooter was a minority you would not be saying "but what if his parents owned property in another State!?”

If you break into my home I'm pointing a gun at you. I hope I do not have to shoot and my intention is not to shoot. While what you are saying is true there are circumstances where gun safety isn't the first priority.  That said I wasn't there and have no real facts about why the couple was outside pointing their guns "at people". And I think we might be a whole lot better off as a society if we wait until facts are revealed (in court) before we fly off the handle on things.

Cmon, you know the founding fathers knew this was possible in a couple hundred years.

This has always been a lame argument in my book. The founding Fathers based it upon the most modern weapons they had at the time and if this was available then they would have included it. They had just won a war largely because of armed citizens.

These people will never be convicted and likely will never go to trial. Missouri castle doctrine extends to your property line. Not just inside your house.

well he cited the third rule...not the first

your calls for maturity and intelligence are noble, but the mob is the opposite

I'm still torn on the possible contract extension for Ertz.  I hate getting rid of a guy like this, because not only is he putting up HOF receiving numbers for a TE, but his relationship with Carson is rock solid.  I don't think you can replace trust......especially with the garbage Wentz has had to deal with.  His terrible blocking aside..........he might be the best route running TE ever, and I'm not sure if that's going out on a limb.  That skill won't deteriorate in the next couple of years.

If we extend him, I know I'll be happy, but in the back of my mind I will know it's probably not the right thing to do.  Plus I just don't think it works with the money.  How can Howie pay him with this cap debacle?  Will Goedert want to leave?  I wouldn't blame him.  I also want to see him get the majority of the targets, because he has RAC ability.  He's also a top blocking TE already.

Does Howie say F it and try to sign both to extensions?

I think thats exactly what Howie wants to do. Extend both as the core of the offense. Djax will come off the books next year along with alshon and will have a few years of cheap wrs to balance it

in theory anyway
