Why would anyone think that Prince Tega Wanogho is any kind of a lock to make this team? And why would they think he would automatically be grabbed on waivers by another team before making it to the Eagles practice squad? He wasn't a high pick for a reason, and every team in the league had multiple shots at drafting him and chose not to do so. We're talking about a sixth round pick here. And I also find it kinda curious that his name has never come up in any reports from the media. You'd think that if he were doing well, it would at least have been noted somewhere. Driscoll, for example, has garnered several positive comments. I haven't heard a peep about Prince.

If the counter-argument is, well, why would anyone think Mailata would be claimed if he were waived? What's the difference? The answer to that is, Mailata has good tape. Two preseasons worth of games where his promise was on full display. Wanogho doesn't have that. I can't see a team that didn't think he was worth a pick in the first five rounds suddenly clamoring to put him on their active roster(!) ahead of guys they've been working with for months.

I generally agree, but teams do weird things at premium positions. I was a firm believer there was no chance anyone would claim Brett Toth coming out of the Army late in the offseason extremely undersized and a few years removed from playing. But Cardinals took him and sat him on the active roster all year. Prince was a late round draft pick but there could be teams out there who could have valued him as a priority free agent and would be willing to take him on as a project.

As far as his TC there has been talk he has looked better than Mailata although it’s fair to point out Mailata was first string vs Prince Tega playing against lesser competition.

NFL and the NBA both have not exactly "ignored their feelings". That said I have to go to work regardless of my "feelings". I mean there have been peaceful protests and not so peaceful protests. Do the players think that them not playing a "children's game" are suddenly going cause racists to suddenly give a damn?

Absolutely, and the couple on the lawn as well. I think that's the civilized way, everyone accused of anything should have that right before being considered guilty by us the lynch mob.

Everyone wants that. They just want that for the men police are killing as well. That couple and kid get to have a fair trial, while the black men are dead because the officers feared for their lives even though they were unarmed.

Jones back as well as Mailata.  Probably silly but I still like Jones as the first backup at outside CB than Douglas.  Unless the Eagles think NRC can play outside but that seems questionable to move him around like that.

I agree I want everyone to have that opportunity. Does anyone know if Blake did or didn't have a gun in his vehicle? Just curious is all.

This is pathetic. The players already got all their BLM warm up shirts, got to kneel for the anthem, weird slogans on the back of their jerseys, commercials, BLM painted on their court... and they are "boycotting" until the NBA does something consequential? The NBA already cost itself tons of money doing all of those things for the players. Its already too much. How much more do they freaking want?

During a meeting of NBA players on Wednesday on the NBC campus, they came to the conclusion that they must demand an action plan. The players want to see something consequential from the league's owners in reaction to the ongoing social just movement reignited by the police shooting of Jacob Blake in Wisconsin.

The NBA Board of Governors will meet on Thursday.

"There's a sense from some that if owners don't come up with something that makes them believe staying will help move these important issues forward, this season is done," wrote Chris Mannix.

Well they want Slay shadowing the teams best receiver so if the other teams best receiver is shifting into the slot then NRC will have to shift to the outside. So they are just trying to get him reps outside so he is comfortable out there if slay has to bounce inside.

Doing nothing sure hasn’t worked. Why not try anything? 🤷🏾‍♂️

I don’t have the answers, man. And I’m sure the players don’t either. They’re caught up in a cycle of fear and feeling hurt and probably feel like they just have to do SOMETHING/ANYTHING. Money or violence can cause change most effectively/quickly. Talking about it when they’re not at work is a great way to be able to be ignored.

again.... I don’t have the answers. I don’t know what kind of change their boycott will promote/is trying to promote. I think they just want affect something.... to feel like they’re doing SOMETHING/ANYTHING other than nothing.

Having two "guns drawn" incidents happen in my own life I agree 100%.

Just going by who's been having good camps.  Pending Avery's injury timetable.

Toohill to the practice squad?  He's had a good camp.  I still think Jones might make it.  That list of corners makes me nervous.  If Maddox goes down, Rasul has to step in outside.  Do not want.

That I get.  More talking about if Slay or Maddox got dinged up or needed a breather. I'd assume it would be either Douglas or Jones who comes in rather than shifting NRC permanently to the outside and putting LeBlanc in the slot.  So from that angle I'm happy to have Jones back.  He has been a disappointment but he has flashed a lot more than Douglas IMO.

Ugh

All we know for certain (to the best of my knowledge) is a knife was in the car along with his kids.

The real issue is that shouldn’t matter. If a kid with a AR can get apprehended, why can’t someone unarmed, or armed with a knife?

Maybe we should have traded him in the draft after all.

Shareef Miller era?

Bringing back Peters as RG and giving him off all the padded practices just seems like a terrible idea:
