The warrant wasn't for the boyfriend. It was for 2 people who lived 10 miles away.

wrong , they had 1 for her house too since her vehicle had been going from both houses

Interesting. Do you have a link?

I don’t think I could ever blame anyone for shooting at someone breaking into their home in the middle of the night. Look what happened to Sean Taylor.

But look at all the spouses and children shot when mistaken for a person breaking in. In a darkened house, you know the layout. Being armed and identifying as such without exposing yourself is quite possible.  Taylor’s shooting is a tragedy but criminality wise maybe negligent homicide, the charge you might see in an auto accident death case.  Boyfriend fired, police fired back.  Bystander killed. Would have been much better for her if no one ever fired a gun.

And no reason to be walking the streets with it

Damn me and my w.w. 1 "assault rifle".  BTW this spring I'm buying an assault rifle because I can.

No, her boyfriend Kenneth Walker was not listed on the warrant.  https://www.courier-journal.com/story/news/crime/2020/06/16/breonna-taylor-fact-check-7-rumors-wrong/5326938002/ Breona Taylor's house was listed because a vehicle owned by one of the people listed in the warrant was seen picking up a package at her house.

Sometimes I walk a street or 2 going to the woods. In fact sometime I walk on roads while I'm hunting. When will people realize that unless the wickedness and evil of people change, nothing will change.

Honestly the  2nd amendment needs to be revisited  and I imagine it will be, maybe not in my lifetime

Founder fathers had no clue what the future held with weapons ,zero.

You can thank the 2nd amendment for protecting your first amendment right to post that......................god help us if you're right.

Nice flock of turkeys in the hay field this morning. We were worried the wet spring would ruin the hatch.

All we know for certain (to the best of my knowledge) is a knife was in the car along with his kids.

The real issue is that shouldn’t matter. If a kid with a AR can get apprehended, why can’t someone unarmed, or armed with a knife?

Good point.  But cops are different unfortunately.  The one who killed George Floyd and this one who shot Blake 7 times and the others that just shoot to kill are bad cops.  Doesnt mean all cops are like this.  This point keeps getting lost.  I feel sorry for the good, honest police that do their job right.  They have to pay the price for these A-hole cops that are quick to shoot someone or exhibit police brutality.

Do you know why? They were chasing and assaulting him. Do you know who he killed?

Not happy people died, but they got what they asked for. Kid defended himself from some nasty people.

Didnt he fire into the crowd first?  Honestly I'm not sure.  Not trying to get into an arguement or anything but I thought he started shooting first.

What do you hunt with a ar 15 ?

What does any civilian need one for?

No need to hunt with them , a shot gun is fine home protection

Status thing? Make someone feel better about themselves?

I should have rephrased "breaking in" to "door being broken down." Yes, it almost assuredly would have gone better if no one fired a gun, but its a fight or flight situation. You have multiple people breaking down your door in the middle of the night, with no distinguishing uniforms, and not identifying themselves. With split seconds to react, I can't really blame anyone for deciding to shoot.

And in Taylor's case it was much more severe than just negligent homicide. Two came to a plea deal, 18 and 29 years imprisonment. The other 3 were 30 years, 57.5 years and life imprisonment.

I've seen reports the kid shot first and others that said the second person he shot, shot first. We really need to let the facts come out before passing judgement on either.
