There's no background checks with private sales and at gun shows. I think gun violence is a problem in the country.  Looking at other nations that have a much lower rate of gun violence, I don't know if there's a solution other than to limit the number of guns.  It seems to me that the cats out of the bag in terms of gun ownership and the type of weapons you can buy.  Additionally, we have a constitutionally protected right to gun ownership that applies to individual ownership of weapons for self-defense.  I think any law regulating ownership is going to run up against the 2nd amendment.

Did not Scalia opine that the 2nd Amendment was not absolute?

And yet the numbers show it's not much more then automobile accidents. I think the media wants you to believe it's a bigger problem then it is. Mental health issues are a way bigger problem in this country IMO.

I don’t think it should be illegal. I’m all for personal responsibility. If someone doesn’t have kids and wants to do drugs or make decisions that affect only them, go for it.

Yeah all the people OD'ing in my town weren't affecting anyone else, only them, so it's cool. Many didn't have their own kids yet either so all parameters were met. Heroin for everybody!

Disagree,  most drug addicts have no insurance  yet they get treated, at the expense of us that do.

Weed go for it harmless if bought from a dispensary . I have a card for it through state of Maryland....I dint mess with high thc , highest levels of cbd for me.

Yikes.

I'm okay with changing that as well.

Is it yikes? I mean hey I'm not writing the guy off but I don't think he's instilled a lot of confidence so far...

It was at this point that the poster had realized his question had no point and was hypocritical.

Maybe also the talent is better.

maybe also we should actually wait until live actually games before stating such. I feel like every year training camp gets overhyped and then reality sets in during the season that a lot of the reporters overhyped things

Devastating if true. Peters will be back at LT. Two starters on the OL done before the season starts. Not a good start.

Just if they invented something that players could get some real live snaps in with another team before the season started. Then you could get a better idea.

Im sure the players, coaches would benefit from it as long as the Vets don;t act like little babies and complain about it.

Not a good start but then from last year it's technically only one injury.

We all know Peters is going to be the starting LT.  Let’s stop killing our selves.  That’s why he hasn’t gone crazy practicing RG.

But who comes in for Peters when he goes out for his 1Q rest each game? We are still on YIKES

My sister is a marijuana attorney in California (one of the main attorneys that worked to get it medical legalized Then overall legalized in the state) and has ownership in  a company that owns dispensaries And produces edibles. The thing with marijuana is it is safer than a lot of these prescription painkillers that we keep giving people to use. The regulations and hoops they have to go through just to be safe with their edibles and weed is absolutely ridiculous. It’s much stricter protocols that they have to go through and be approved for then the painkillers that we consistently have given people for decades. People get super highly addicted to those pain killers and they can’t ever get off of them because of that addiction. On top of that the painkillers are also not great for your body. Not that marijuana is a cure-all but it is much safer and less harmful to your body then having people give you OxyContin can you get addicted to it for 5-7  years need to go get help. My dad And brother who are doctors have been advocates for legalizing marijuana but also advocate for THC use and marijuana over prescription painkillers. They’ve seen the cause-and-effect of those painkillers over time it is not good

Yeah screw it and move JP back to LT and put Pryor in at RG. This group needs to get their crap together. I thought Stoutland was supposed to be a great coach. He made me question that when he stuck Dillard in at RT last year and he's not helping his cause with the way these guys are developing!

Generally speaking, I don't think its that bad as long as the tear isn't lower by his elbow. Peters tore his bicep in 2018 and didn't miss a game.

Cant get one in Maryland, if you are a gun owner

85.00 to state every 2 years once you're approved,  200 to my DR to sign off on it, and 80 every year to DR

Cash only in dispensaries here.

I have much more faith in peters playing At a good enough level with that type of injury than dillard.

Its pretty sound advice.

Probably a compliment coming from you. Anyone who doesn't think his attorneys will get that to the jury is clueless, which may be the case.

NCIggles is an attorney and understands the law.   In my professional capacity, I dealt with the admission of criminal backgrounds in cases going to trial all the time.  The judge won’t admit the backgrounds if they cannot be shown material to the case at hand.  The shooter knew nothing about the background of those he shot so for the most part, that backgrounds won’t be admissible. (If the one that swung the skateboard has an assault conviction, that might be admitted in a limited fashion.)  Further, a lawyer isn’t going to get to argue that in front of a jury.  At least one side is going to present the admissibility of the criminal backgrounds of the decedents as a motion in limine before the trial begins. Violate the judge’s ruling in front of a jury is grounds for mistrial, appeal and the possibility of a contempt ruling.  A good lawyer, despite TV showing otherwise, isn’t going to do that.  So call me clueless.  I would call your conclusion to be based on too much TV courtroom knowledge and not the actual practice of law.  Please take that as a compliment coming from me.

It’s the same law in Arizona. If you own a marijuana medical card you cannot own a gun. Amazing you can be addicted to OxyContin though and be allowed To own.

dispensaries out here can use a card but they charge you two Extra charges to do so.

I tore my biceps a few years back.  Once the tear is done, you can use your arm it's just weak and uncomfortable.  Once the surgery is done you're down for the count.  Like you said, Peters tore his and they gave him a brace of some sort.  The only problem is Dillard doesn't have nearly the upper body strength, leverage, lower body strength and overall NFL experience to perform at an acceptable level.  He was already struggling.

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise.  Might force them to make a move at LT outside of JP.  If it's a tear for Dillard he's done for the year and will be a 3rd year, 26 year old LT without a start to his name.  The Eagles might need a new LT of the future.

Yea, I mean, that's true. But with OL you are mainly using your triceps to push defenders, you aren't pulling so the bicep isn't even used that much. A tricep injury is much harder for OL to play through.
