Dude probably took 7 shots cause he doesn't go down easy if they tased him and multiple officers couldn't bring him down physically.

If there were 3 officers with guns drawn its pretty simple. When he leaned in to the car, each fired 2 shots as they were probably trained. I guess one fired a 3rd.

all shots would have been fired in a second or less. Not like someone stood over him firing over and over and over like a mad man. Like people seem to want to indicate when they keep pointing out how many bullets were fired.

250 people at any outdoor event.  Kind of hard to get around that unfortunately.

well if the players want to knee, its definitely a protest. that was easy.

Problem like you said before most parents who are older have no clue how to monitor it and kids are smart enough nowadays to figure out a way to disable or maneuver around it

They can get around it with a VPN of the sorts but if you’re monitoring properly you would know. Key logging you can’t really get around if done correctly. That’s a big reason people love Apple. Top notch when it comes to security.

Will those officers be disciplined though? Killing someone is not something that can be reversed.

First he’s still alive. He’s paralyzed. So that’s a fact that needs to be put out there.

second I don’t know if they do. I would charge them (or the one who shot 7 times) because seven times is ridiculous. However they haven’t done the thorough investigation yet. People demand justice right away but that’s not how things work. We don’t just make guilt until proven innocent. It’s we conduct an investigation to get to the point of whether or not these men deserve to be put on trial for their actions.

This is not we’re gonna put him on trial regardless of doing an investigation and see what the jury says. That’s not how things work. yet somehow in America people (Not saying you) think that’s how things work and demand immediate justice. If that were the case Blake would not even be out on the streets because the Warrant for his arrest for third-degree sexual assault was issued on July 7.

I agree and said that yesterday.  Again, I've never been in that situation.  Blake is still alive however.  Maybe we can get his side of the story one of these days.  Ask him why he ignored the police, why he wrestled with them, fought through a taser and continued to walk away from them.

You and I agree on something for once...other than Dallas sucks

Probably because a couple of months ago the world watched another black man get murdered by police while they were arresting him.

Only one officer fired. All seven times.

The DOJ already said it was only one guy firing

I thought the same thing, but they said only one fired. I'm not sure if all 7 hit him or what, but either way.....who takes 7 shots in the back and lives? I'm glad he did, but that is one tough dude who does not go down easy.

They did though.  They tasered him, the tackled him.  He fought through all of that and then was wielding a knife.  So now the officers had exhausted their tasers and were telling him not to go in the car, all while he had his knife out.  Are you going to dive at a man who has beat a taser, fought your tackles and now has a knife?

They tried plenty of things if you ask me.

I believe the official release of information was the knife was on the floorboard of the car.

The full press release is below.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) is investigating an officer involved shooting (OIS) in Kenosha, Wis. that occurred on the evening of Sunday, August 23, 2020.

Kenosha Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2800 block of 40th Street after a female caller reported that her boyfriend was present and was not supposed to be on the premises.

During the incident, officers attempted to arrest Jacob S. Blake, age 29. Law enforcement deployed a taser to attempt to stop Mr. Blake, however the taser was not successful in stopping Mr. Blake. Mr. Blake walked around his vehicle, opened the driver’s side door, and leaned forward. While holding onto Mr. Blake’s shirt, Officer Rusten Sheskey fired his service weapon 7 times. Officer Sheskey fired the weapon into Mr. Blake’s back. No other officer fired their weapon. Kenosha Police Department does not have body cameras, therefore the officers were not wearing body cameras.

The shooting officer, Kenosha Police Officer Rusten Sheskey, has been a law enforcement officer with Kenosha Police Department for seven years.

During the investigation following the initial incident, Mr. Blake admitted that he had a knife in his possession. DCI agents recovered a knife from the driver’s side floorboard of Mr. Blake’s vehicle. A search of the vehicle located no additional weapons.

Law enforcement immediately provided medical aid to Mr. Blake. Flight for Life transported Mr. Blake to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Mr. Blake remains at the hospital.

DCI is leading this investigation and is assisted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Wisconsin State Patrol and Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office. All involved law enforcement are fully cooperating with DCI during this investigation. The involved officers have been placed on administrative leave.

DCI is continuing to review evidence and determine the facts of this incident and will turn over investigative reports to a prosecutor following a complete and thorough investigation.

When DCI is the lead investigating agency of a shooting involving a law enforcement officer, DCI aims to provide a report of the incident to the prosecutor within 30 days. The prosecutor then reviews the report and makes a determination about what charges, if any, are appropriate. If the prosecutor determines there is no basis for prosecution of the law enforcement officer, DCI will thereafter make the report available to the public.

No additional details are currently available.

Well then maybe you should watch the video and see how casually they walk behind him to the car then shoot him instead of maybe I don’t know tackling him down before he gets there? Shooting him in the leg?

Don’t shoot anyone in the leg. If you are firing your weapon, it’s to kill.

Not saying they are the problem but it just shocked me that those were his answers.  I get it, the majority of people know how to differentiate video games from reality but when a kid is playing games for 8-10 hours a day.  Mindless killing, stealing to get points...I dunno.

You watch a sport where guys take years off their lives entertaining you. Some players beat their wives/girlfriends, children, and other people. Some players kill people. Be careful what hill you climb because you might not like the view at the top.

Holy crap

Unless the guy didn't even flinch. Seems like a really tough dude. I know he fired 7 times, but did they all hit him? Was the officer just hyped on adrenaline after the physical altercation?

The father said there were 7 holes in his sons body
