Question for the blog: based on what the Jets got for Adams what would you guess the price for Ngakoue will be if he gets moved?  Adams has more time left on his contract (which is big), and is more elite for his position, but in general I think most people would take a top-10 DE over the top overall box safety.

And no, I don't think the Eagles are gonna get him.

Nah, I'm not one of em.  I'm sure some of the older posters who know them all around here could vouch for that.

Wasn't there an offer that was rejected already?

I wish we had the draft and cap capital. The Dline would be devastating. That rotation would destroy teams

DEagle is not a mod.

Embiid only played 13 minutes... unbelievable.

Yeah it would be a great fit IMO.  But it seemed very unlikely even before with the 2021 cap likely to increase.  Now it seems pretty much impossible outside of some kind of crazy cap space dump trade (which would only increase his price).

Makes you wonder how "hard" he really was working out during the off time.

Embiid hurt already.

Thanks for the nostalgia trip of the old normal.

Given his demands and the reduced salary cap and no way to guarantee a team can sign him next year, a fourth round pick at the training deadline unless it is the cow pads or Texans in which case the next decade of first and second round picks.

Whew, thought people were talking about Farabee.

I mean they'd get a 3rd comp pick for just letting him walk no?

Gosselin on the bench?  Fancy Joe.

Those 2 are the most controversial picks from this past draft and they're dancing around for an instagram photoshoot.  I'm sure 4for4 isn't exactly about to make it his avatar.

Is Reagor really that controversial of a pick? Seemed like an obvious fit and decent value to me.

Only if the sign less comp level players than they lose.

I think it's because they could have moved up

Clowney went for a 3 and two scrub LBs. Since it’s too late to trade for Yannick and give him a new contract, that seems about right to me.

We also seem to have committed to an interior pass rush philosophy over edge rushers

Is it that or just that the interior has been better than the edges for a bit?

Who does Hoskins have pictures of to get in the 2 hole constantly.  The guy is lost.

Hopefully he can be somewhat productive this year so we can trade him (and some prospects/picks) in the off-season for a #3 or #4 starting pitcher or bullpen help.

I think it’s both. Schematically, we don’t do the Washburn style wide 9 where the DEs basically only focus on pass rushing. We kind of mush rush a lot with our DEs by design.

We have also clearly been putting more resources into the interior at the same time. I’m fine with it, personally. Interior pressure is the most valuable thing a defense can have.

There is no proof that they could of moved up at all or at what cost.  Also it was reported that the eagles liked juedy more. At the end of the day the wr that everyone thought was the best in the draft in lamb was the 3rd one picked. If lamb didn't go to the hated cowboys I don't think anyone would care as much

I agree completely, he was my preferred target for months prior to the draft. But with the lack of move up for Lamb and Jefferson still on the board it wasn't exactly a super popular pick on draft day and some fans are still pretty skeptical.

Jefferson was the safe pick. I'd rather the guy with higher upside and big play ability like Reagor

Completely agree.

Took 4 days and we already have a first team outbreak. Hopefully no Phils picked it up. Also weird how this would leak but take a few days to be announced.
