Weird coincidence

Thats the "philly taco". Its not served. I forget the name of the pizza place. I think it might be by Jims? You gotta go to both and put it together yourself.

Yet. Looked it up. Its a Jim's cheesteak with Lorenzo's pizza.

I am prone to believe reporting based on observation. I am not prone to believe in character assessment. I gather you have never been so frustrated by something that goes wrong that you break down. I certainly have. I am not spinning about reporters and I admit to a certain consistency in how I view their stories. Game after game I see something utterly unlike what I read the next day. As far as linemen go, there isn't a one of our beat guys who's good at it. Baldy has his moments but with him everything is the greatest thing ever so I have to filter out his enthusiasm.

Going back to a guy I have been appreciative of for some time now - Seumalo. He has basically been ripped by our beat guys his whole career. It wasn't until Kelce made his remarks about him recently that the tide began to turn. An observer who paid attention, though, would have seen this long before.. I don't claim to be smarter than any of those guys but I do believe I pay closer attention to line play than any of them and that makes a difference.

Returning to Dillard, I see both his strengths and weaknesses. These beat guys seem to see only the latter. They don't see the talent. The weaknesses can be rectified. I recall when We got Peters, a lot of the reporters ripped the trade, while I was over the moon. Oh no, they said. He was undrafted. He was fat. He was a malcontent. This last characteristic goes to what I said earlier about reporters and character assessment. They were wrong, wrong, and wrong.

I get as good or better insight into players and plays and injuries (a tip of the hat to HE) in here than I do from the beat writers. I almost never go into the 411 any more because they produce such drivel.

So, maybe that is spinning.

I’m not saying you don’t watch them more closely or know more about offensive line played than them. My argument was never about football performance on the field and them knowing more than you or less. Frankly i think you and multiple people on the blog do a better job then them in that aspect

However I’m saying the reporters are not telling you directly from themselves that those situations are occurring (not practice observations or football performance but him breaking down crying or the non football playing Things). they’re getting That info from sources on the extra non-football performance stuff. Those sources have access to the team that you and I have no access to. So it’s not them saying Dillard from their own encounter or perspective (Most of the time) when talking about him crying or issues In the locker room or with coaches. Those are sources that they have learned which to trust and which not too over the years when info is told to them (well not all ESP is still an idiot).

Do I agree that reporters get things wrong? Yeah I do. They’ve been wrong a bunch of times on trades opinions or football performance opinions. Most of the time that’s their opinion though when they came out and trashed it like peters (Frankly dumb. I loved that trade especially since you weren’t getting a player as polished or talented as peters late in the first). However imo that is completely different then if they’re getting from a source telling them there’s been issues with the Eagles and Dillard with his emotional state and things they aren’t even privy too in the locker room or practices where they can’t attend or we can’t attend/see.

Those are two different situations. They could be wrong because they have bad opinions and hot takes and can’t assess offensive line play. But that is different imo completely different discussion then if a source is telling them about non football performance issues that are lining up with Andre Dillard that goes back even into his past Before being here.

With beat writers I take anything they observe In training camp and minicamps with a grain of salt. However the things that do perk my ears up for is when I hear rumors from sources and it becomes multiple writers having similar things come to light. That’s different than their takes on football performance. Now is that cause they all talk To each other? We disagree on this aspect

on Andre Dillard specifically, I think he’s super talented. He has great feet. I think he’s Got great athleticism. I believe if his mind is right and he builds proper strength you could mold him into the left tackle. Heck the coaches I got to talk to at Arizona were highly impressed when they faced him and the jumps he made throughout his career. My thing is just because you have all those great tools and you have the talent to make you a first round pick does not mean you a lock to be great or successful. And I’m not willing to just hope and risk it when there’s some issues that have come out from his past and now with the eagles. It’s why I would take a tackle early next year. And if Dillard winds up being as good as we believe he can then I have my right tackle situation set because lane Johnson is not young anymore or i have great value to teams around the nfl where oline play is hard to come by.

This.

The lack of anchor is a real problem, but you can't teach the feet quickness that he has. If he figures out his anchor, he's a lockdown LT for 8 years. If he doesn't, the fear is that he's Jason Spriggs.

I will go along with you on drafting a tackle. We did that with Andrews and Herremans and neither of them played more than a few snaps at tackle.

Shame with Andrews career went the way it did. He had the chance to be remembered the way brooks likely is going to be.

This is why people aren’t against taking a tackle early in the draft next year as insurance. He turns out to be lockdown then you can mold the other guy into RT so when lane declines in 2 years you have your guy or can have him do what Andrews and herremans did or even eventually trade the guy you drafted in a league desperate for oline. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with drafting a tackle high next year and having that insurance policy

Go to the Chiefs Community pages and check out all they do.  Find where your wife’s work fits best.  This will take time to go through each, including Ambassadors, Red Coaters and player foundations etc.  Then go to the team page and thumb down to the Community section.  Identify which of those employees probably fits best with your target.  May be more than one.  Then Google that person.  Find out what you can about them to personalize your correspondence and there you go.  Good luck. Don’t give up after one communication cycle either but be respectful and know when no is definitely no.

Thanks my wife is a little green in the whole PR ,marketing world. She has 4 degrees none of which are in those areas and im just a stay at home dad trying to do my part. Thanks for your help i figured with your work in public service you might of had some ideas so i appreciate it!

Injury be damned, eh?

Lets not forget Mailata was on IR all last year.

Seems to me to be a bigger setback for someone who hasn't played ANY football

The bungles are allowing fans to buy cardboard cutout pictures of themselves to man the stands. If the Eagles do that would they really accept Foghorn from me.   Maybe I could Howie for Henry Hawk. I say son.....

Actually, it was my corporate experience that guided me on this.

I pray everyday (and I am not a religious person).  My company has been gracious enough to keep us on, as of now.

My daughter’s company is having them work six days a week and constantly advising them of their productivity.   I told her to be cognizant of the latter and to be close to the top. She is very aware of this.  I also told her that they are not only measuring her productivity but also their ability to monitor it as they may look at a real estate savings and work from home on a more permanent basis. Last week, her company announced they were looking at permanent work from home and hub offices.  She looks at me with an appreciation that I have this knowledge and a realization I was in the group of people making these decisions.   I think I can say that after I got to that level, everyone impacted in my area of responsibility wasn’t surprised.  I always hated losing good people based on geography, not skill.  I always liked giving a package to someone sliding into retirement.

Serious response now, I'd also try to reach out to former/current players who have spoken out on mental health and depression. Terry Bradshaw, Brandon Marshall, Solomon Thomas, Chris Long, Jon Dorenbos, Brandon Brooks, Marcus Smith, Steve Smith, Ricky Williams etc (there's tons out there). Even if its just a DM on twitter to someone whose active on there like Long. If you can get the ear of one or two then they can perhaps use their connections to help you move closer to your goal. Work your way up the ladder.

I really, really, really hope he can somehow be decent in coverage.

Thanks. My wife doesnt really watch sports and doesnt know a lot of sports personalities so asked me if i knew any that had an interest in mental health awareness. I had a few like brandon brooks and chris long ect but yeah ill look into some of those other names. I forgot about Brandon Marshall.

Theyre actually looking at rolling it out nationally to college campuses covid kind if slowed the roll a bit but my wife and her team are still grinding. Thanks for the suggestions!!!👍

So many jobs can be work from home. If there’s one good thing that comes out of this, I hope it’s that. I rather not have to drive 45 minutes to work and/or find a place nearby.

The bad is commercial real estate and downtown businesses, especially lunch locations and ones that cater will suffer as will the construction workers that build those buildings.  The latter may be offset by a strong infrastructure bill.

My wife works from home (consultant for pharmaceutical). Its great. Especially in this mess, the whole virtual learning thing for the kids was no big deal. A big part of her industry has moved that direction over the past 5 years or so.
