There is no proof that they could of moved up at all or at what cost.  Also it was reported that the eagles liked juedy more. At the end of the day the wr that everyone thought was the best in the draft in lamb was the 3rd one picked. If lamb didn't go to the hated cowboys I don't think anyone would care as much

It's still the possibility that it could have happened. I like the Reagor pick though. I do not like the Hurts pick.

It could of been a possibility. I love the reagor pick and the hurts pick I wasnt a fan of but, at the same time I understand it to a certain degree

I’m guessing this will finally get done in the upcoming week after a physical. Good news for Eagles as it will clear $7M from next years cap as well as some this year too

Jefferson was the safe pick. I'd rather the guy with higher upside and big play ability like Reagor

Its no use in even worrying about it till 2-3 years down the line when we see how it plays out. Now if Reagor becomes avg and Jefferson shines everyone will say it was a big mistake. If Reagor turns our anything close to a play maker like DJax then Howie hit gold. Me personally I think the worst mistake was letting Lamb go to the Cowboys. Its just a feeling but I think he becomes a superstar in this league. But thats where its just a feeling and nothing certain. its all comes down to how the coaches play these players, scheme, play calling etc. The right coach can turn a project into a star or a superstar into a bust. this is where I think we failed with JJ. hes not in the correct scheme to fit his strengthens. I do think Reagor is a better fit for our scheme, but I also think Jefferson matches with our slot needs. So both fit Dougs style.

I'd rather not think of it that way. Cowboys picked sooner then the Eagles so they didn't exactly let the cowboys get him. The cowboys were already there and no one will ever know if the eagles actually wanted lamb or anyone was willing to let us trade up for him. I also feel as though the eagles would have not thought that the cowboys would even take lamb there because that was definitely a luxury pick and they already had massive weapons on offense that they just paid

There was no reasonable trade-up to be had.  ATL needed a CB as badly as the Eagles needed a WR.  I said all the way leading up to the draft I didn't want the Eagles to trade up to near the top 10 for Ruggs when Reagor would still be there at 21.  It also holds true I wouldn't have given up multiple picks to go after Lamb.

Hurts will have use as the #53 pick.  He'll be called upon to step in and win games in Wentz's absence.  If he's unable to do so then he'll be a bad pick in the end.  I don't believe he's a bad pick at this point, as I have zero faith in Sudfeld.

Completely agree. Like I said lamb goes somewhere other then the cowboys then no one is this bent out of shape over it.

Out of curiosity, let’s say Reagor and Jefferson reach 75 percent or so of their ceiling.

These aren’t perfect comparisons, but stylistically, role-wise and production wise I could see Reagor being similar to Robby Anderson and Jefferson similar to Tyler Boyd.

Anderson has never put it completely together but is one of the better deep threats in the league. Boyd is a guy who compiles decent production but is much better in the slot than on the outside.

Who is the more valuable player?

Agree but it is the Cowboys our most hated team and pretty much the main team we fight for the div the most. That's why most including myself are a little worried about him over there. Only positive is Jerry is still the owner and will put his nose in where is does not belong like usual hurting them.

Just to piggyback your post.

If Reagor and Jefferson have equal production, Reagor is more valuable doing it as an outside WR and pushing safeties back.

Robby Anderson > Jamison Crowder & John Ross > Tyler Boyd.

I'm not gonna lie it does suck to see all the fire power they have. However, they have had it the last couple of years and it has not amounted to much. So like you said Jerry and the rest of them will mess this up some how. The lions drafted 4 top 10 recievers in a row and that didn't get them anywhere so I think we will get the same from the cowboys.

Miami Yankees.

In further shocking news: Velasquez and our bullpen are still hot garbage.

Pats and Cardinals decided to cut down to 80 players instead of conducting split squad practices with 90 players.

Are 5-10 back of the roster guys really worth the lack of flexibility the split-squad thing would present to teams? Seems like a no-brainer to cut to 80.

I still can’t get over Seattle making that trade. Especially with all of the uncertainty for this season.

I can see it from both perspectives.

One advantage to the split squad would be smaller groups for teaching and instructing. One split squad would be rookie and second year guys and the vets would be in the other.

It would make some long days for the coaches, and the young players would miss out early on learning from the vets. It would also give you a chance to build up the back end of the roster in case of a break out.

I’d probably go with the 80.

The issue with a split squad is coaching consistency and team cohesiveness.  If there is no pre-season, the starters won't need protecting, so 90 man rosters are kind of a moot point, and less hassle to herd the cats from doing something stupid, so to speak

I believe it’s only for two weeks or so.

Also, the Titans just cut down to 81.

You can split the risk, so to speak, but I suppose as this is the only coaching time some rookies you get, you want them to mix with the vets ASAP.

It sucks for some UDFAs though who have done nothing wrong but leave College in a pandemic.

Took 4 days and we already have a first team outbreak. Hopefully no Phils picked it up. Also weird how this would leak but take a few days to be announced.

They’d still likely beat the Phillies with their minor league club playing.

Eagles going down to 80
