The ONLY people in the world who are saying JP is the LT are the people on these boards and dopey reporters. 

If the Eagles planned on JP playing LT in 2020, he would've been on the roster.  A fact that flies RIGHT OVER your head. They already made the evaluation.

I’m absolutely shocked his agent didn’t put a stipulation or some type of wording in the contract if Dillard’s got hurt or Dillard wasnt very good and he had to go back to left tackle that he would make a certain mount of bonus money for each game he plays at left tackle and not guard. His agent did him a disservice not putting that stipulation or thinking about that in the contract. It wasn’t a given that Dillard would stay healthy for 16 games or dillard would play well enough to sustain being a left tackle and the Eagles to consider moving him back to left tackle. That is complete failure on his agent‘s part and really himself for not thinking about that As a possibility.

The only reason Peters was really brought back was to be an insurance policy at LT. I say make him an offer to play LT and if he doesn’t take it just cut him.

That’d be the first question I’d want answered from Stoutland.  If the position coach doesn’t feel these guys can start an NFL game yet, then you offer Peters consistent with what Andrew Whitworth is getting paid ($7M).   If Stoutland believes the young guys can go, then frankly I’d tell Peters to pound sand.  
 

If the Eagles asked Peters to switch I suspect the first is more likely.  All it says is that the guys behind him are still green.

He is on the roster. 
 

And they went into 2020 with the plan that Dillard would be their LT. He’s out for the season, so things change. 
 

And, no the people on these boards are only saying JP should be the LT because of Dillard’s injury. So I’d suggest you stop putting words in our mouths.

Agreed. But I’d keep Peters at RG regardless, or we really lack depth. 

Peters may still be a good LT, but he is likely to miss some games.  If he can manage to play all season, the team can't count on him for next season.  This necessitates the team to prepare a young LT this season.  No better way than to play them and let them gain game experience.  The conservative way is move Peters to his old position and coach up a young player as back-up.  Pryor can man the RG position.  The bold way is to play the most ready young player at LT and Peters at RG and as LT back-up.  They don't even need to sign a vet as back-up, as they have options on the roster already in OG and OT, and no many good options on the street at this point.  We shall find out how aggressive Doug is as coach and how much he believes in the young players.

I'm slightly behind in the blog, but this is what is so confusing to me.  Did he truly know this?  Was that picture not painted clearly for him (Every fan with a pulse knew this is why he was signed)?  You would think that conversation (or even the binding contract) had to happen in great detail between him and the organization.  If it did.........and he's now pulling this stunt...........then I would agree that it might be time to move on.  I just wouldn't label it as "cutting his fat arse."

And that’s the most important thing. I have no want for brand to make a trade pertaining to embiid and simmons. Frankly i don’t want him picking the head coach as there’s a good chance if the sixers flop again due to his roster that he’s fired.

I'd give Lane Johnson the LT money "If he wants it" way before I'd give Peters anything.  That's a bigger question than moving Peters. Leave Peters where he is.

One of the greatest Eagles ever?  Sure.   Currently worth all the fuss?  Not exactly.   

This is a good point.  The amount of money Vaitai got in free agency shows how limited the market is for even a decent offensive tackle.  His versatility at multiple spots probably got him that contract.  I do think Peters is still better, but at his age it made no sense for another team to sign him.

Problem is you really have depth issues at corner if you deal jones or douglas. Have slay, maddox, NRC, Leblanc, Douglas and Jones. Dealing one of them you are left with just one outside corner on the depth chart That’s a true outside corner. Could move mills back but then you have to hope parks is a legitimate starter for a bulk of the season or wallace as a rookie is ready to go.
