So, with your logic, if I am a line cook but the head chef leaves and they ask me to take over the head chefs duties permanently, but remain at minimum wage, while the head chef had been paid eight dollars more an hour than I was, I should just sit back and be ok with that?

Let’s use your example.  Between high school and college, I worked in a restaurant.  I started as a dishwasher.  Then we had a line cook quit and they taught me to do that.  When they were satisfied I could, I got a raise.  The head cook, (we were a steak restaurant that also served chops and rack of lamb) got fired for being stoned mid shift.  I had been working near him. The manager and I finished out his shift and did that for the next week until a suitable replacement was hired.  I learned a lot and still use some of that skill today.  Our bartender got into a wreck and the manager and I tended bar for three days.  I also filled in twice with some waiting.  I got to keep my tips and still got my hourly rate as a line cook.  I can make awesome escargot from my training as a line cook to this day. The training paid dividends to me. That sort of approach carried me In other jobs and up to executive level for the large multinational I worked for.  It also is why I would get the opportunity to go overseas for months at a time to help improve other countries’ operations.

JP is getting paid as much as Mailata, Pryor, Driscoll and Wanogho combined this year.   How about that perspective.   Did Malik Jackson get his salary cut to Anthony Rush’s level last year  I believe Rush played more snaps.  When they announced JP’s deal it was said he could make up to $6 million this year so his agent did bargain for some incentives.  The bargaining wasn’t a one way

Jason Peters was not good as a LT in 2019 fellas. Can't change what we watched.

Howie, Doug, Stoutland all watched the Film.

I think Peters will be a great RG though if he can stay healthy.

Give me Curtis Samuel in the slot.  They have never known how to use him, and I hope it continues.  If Reagor is what we think, this offense would be more explosive than me the next morning after hot tomatillo salsa from Chipotle.

Jones and a 5th for Samuel; if that doesn’t work throw in a bottle of scotch.

Send the scotch first, wait for Hurney to drink it, then call and offer the deal

If you seriously think at 38 JP can be your starting LT for 16 weeks PLUS another 3?

You cray cray and are going NOwhere in this or any other league.

It's not even a question until you stick a younger guy out there and after a half or two , you just figure well "This aint workin' "

Wentz can take a hit. Stop being a buncha masked Wussbags. I swear the NFL these days. I'd put Seth Joyner at LT week 1 in front of half you millennial brained dopes.

Stop being so mean!

Brother I"ll roll with Hurts/Sudfeld if need be. It won't . You've got one of the top 3 QB's in the league and he's bigger than well just about everyone.

Mailata either CAN PLAY or he CAN'T ... You either play him or cut him... All this dumb Eagles , " Uh I think I might have sumthin here"

Do you think there's a lot of people on this planet 6'8/6'9 350 who can play hoops and move laterally?  OGDEN who I'm sure 40% of you have never heard of was a complete Freak.  There's not a ton of Bull Rushers out there. NOBODY who can drop the Reggie shoulder. If the boy can dance, he plays.

Maybe what ? 10? LOL

I'd give Lane Johnson the LT money "If he wants it" way before I'd give Peters anything.  That's a bigger question than moving Peters. Leave Peters where he is.

There is nothing in that rambling mumbo jumbo that is relevant or makes any sense

Problem is you really have depth issues at corner if you deal jones or douglas. Have slay, maddox, NRC, Leblanc, Douglas and Jones. Dealing one of them you are left with just one outside corner on the depth chart That’s a true outside corner. Could move mills back but then you have to hope parks is a legitimate starter for a bulk of the season or wallace as a rookie is ready to go.

If you move Mills back then you'd have to deal with him getting burned again

Also true. However I’m guessing you have the same issue regardless if maddox or slay goes down having to play douglas or Jones whichever you kept

They were able to draft Luck and then ruined him into an early retirement

It's a great point.  But I'd still do it in a heartbeat.  Everyone behind Slay is trade bait in my opinion.  Schwartz has enough positionless DBs to work with now.

Frankly i was disappointed we didn’t address the corner position in the draft. It’s not as if the eagles are stocked and loaded at corner going forward. Leblanc is a FA at the end of the year. NRC is a free agent at the end of the year. Douglas is a FA. Really have maddox, slay and jones as guys on the roster next year and that is if you sign jones to his RFA tender.

Lol dude if Peters played well last year, maybe I could just sit and listen to this.  It's like they didn't even watch the game.  Ya know I hear Iverson's interested in makin' a comeback LOL

Moving JP back to LT only makes the average fan "more familiar" with the Lineup. It doesn't make you a better football team. Simple as that.

Let’s use my example. I worked in a restaurant as a line cook, also washed dishes every shift, prepped food, and served tables. Was never given any tips after serving tables because I was a "cook” in my job title. The head chef, who often fell asleep during our shifts on one of the back tables, had left for his own restaurant and I was there picking up all the slack, working my a** off for minimum wage.

My boss made promises of giving me a huge raise if I continued to do what I was doing, so I did. He also made promises that I’d be the next head chef and continued to tell me that until he brought in his family member, and under my nose, made him the head chef and gave him more money than I was making as I busted my a**.

So, no. I will from then on, refuse to do a job that isn’t mine nor will I do it without proper pay again. Because they don’t give a crap about pulling the rug from under my nose, why should I? It’s business.

And if the boss doesn’t like it, then find two people instead of one.

And we weren’t talking about filling in here or there for a few shifts, we were talking about taking over permanently.

the example given was that the line cook would replace the head chef, but maintain pay as a line cook, permanently, not for a few weeks or shifts. Now tell me why that seems ok.

I'm interested to see how someone like Maddox does with Slay locking down 1 side/receiver (I hope) and even more interested to see how Schwartz gets creative with all these DBs.  I think they have 6 on the field a ton this season.

This is actually a sound logical point.  I'd only argue since we are down 2 starting OL that having Peters will only help keep Carson upright.  He wasn't bad last year.  He wasn't great, but he was better than most LT in the league.

I'm a big fan of head coaches that aren't good at head coaching.  Has Joe Judge declared open season on killing his QB in practice yet?

Hopefully Mailata turns out, or Goedert will be blocking this year.

Man Rueben Frank didn’t hold back at all regarding JP
