Poor Hall. Shurmur stupidly playing out a meaningless Week 17 game as he was about to get fired might have ruined his career.

Beat me to it.

Can possibly put some blame on Sidney Jones.  I never saw when it happened but my guess is it happened during his INT return.  Take the knee Sidney, game was over.  I'm guessing Hall was trying to get in a position to block and someone may have gone low to avoid a block.

Again, never saw what actually happened to him, could have just blown it trying to come around the edge.

Gibson has to be one of the most perplexing players in recent Eagles history to me. Guy can get open deep and is decent on STs, yet he can't stick on a roster. Is he a giant D or something?

He's just not good.  I think it's pretty simple.  A perplexing player is Rasul Douglas.

One major caveat to the Minkah trade is that it looked like Pittsburgh could bottom out without Big Ben and turn that pick into a top-10 selection, which made it more enticing than either of Seattle’s 1s. Unfortunately for them, Minkah was elite and transformed that defense, keeping the team respectable.

Minkah was average at best before the trade though.  Adams has been the best S in football since his 1st game in the NFL.

That was the drive before. Hall was hurt on a 4th down pass with 10 seconds left

He's not 2 1sts and a third good IMO

I coulda swore the 4th down pass was the one that Sidney intercepted.

No way. Adams is great but the hyperbole is out of control.

A lot of things go into greatness.  Being a malcontent takes away from greatness.  Seahawk fans won’t think he’s so great when he starts bishing — and it won’t take long

Out of curiosity, let’s say Reagor and Jefferson reach 75 percent or so of their ceiling.

These aren’t perfect comparisons, but stylistically, role-wise and production wise I could see Reagor being similar to Robby Anderson and Jefferson similar to Tyler Boyd.

Anderson has never put it completely together but is one of the better deep threats in the league. Boyd is a guy who compiles decent production but is much better in the slot than on the outside.

Who is the more valuable player?

Reagor. We've had a ton of slot receivers and no deep threat. Look what happened. Having a deep threat will also help out elsewhere

I think Wentz is going to have fun slinging it to Reagor

The thing that sucks is he makes Seattle better, the 1st round picks are likely 22 or lower and Seattle has proven the know how to draft after round 1.  It was a hefty hefty price to pay.  Seattle is a better team.  They are better than the Eagles and have their number.

If the Eagles had paid that price I'm sure we would all be livid.

Yes. They need to those picks

That was part of the heat Shurmur got from people online. Eagles intercepted the ball with 3 minutes left. Ran 3 straight run plays to kill the clock but couldn’t get to the 2 minute warning because Shurmur was calling timeouts.

Meh, he was on the jets with Adam Gase. Everyone of his players hated his guts in Miami and he didn't get off to a great start with his players in NYC.

I think Douglas being slow as hell is pretty simple. With Gibson, I'm talking about expectations for a 4th/5th WR, which Gibson seems to have the skill-set for.

Question for the blog: based on what the Jets got for Adams what would you guess the price for Ngakoue will be if he gets moved?  Adams has more time left on his contract (which is big), and is more elite for his position, but in general I think most people would take a top-10 DE over the top overall box safety.

And no, I don't think the Eagles are gonna get him.

Nah, I'm not one of em.  I'm sure some of the older posters who know them all around here could vouch for that.
