I guess it's good that Howie drafted a lot of speed for depth. As usual... someone needs to step up

Also it looks like I'm in the minority that doesn't want Peters at LT

I’m not against leaving peters at right guard if he’s playing well there. My question is who is your starter at left tackle then? If the answer is mailata or Pryor we’re in a ton of trouble. I need a better solution to the issue then those two at left tackle. I think Pryor can play guard at a serviceable to good level if given the chance. I don’t believe that of him at left tackle. I am for signing cordy Glenn as a backup. But i don’t think mailata, Pryor or Driscoll are capable of playing LT at a high level at least not this year

Yea, but how many will Suds throw while Wentz is hurt?

Well if you believe the narrative that Jalen hurts is going to play if wentz goes down then zero

The thing is that if you put Peters in at LT then you're still going to need someone to come in when he takes himself out and when he gets dinged up

Hence why i sign cordy Glenn. Glenn is not a great option if you need him to start the whole year. However I think he has starting experience and he’s a capable back up at left tackle in case that happens. I think that plays out more beneficial to the Eagles then if you keep peters at right guard while Pryor And mailata can’t play left tackle worth crap. Pryor imo can play rg at a competent level. I’m not sold we have anyone on the roster currently that can at LT besides peters with his issues

Most defensive ends line up over the RT these days or over the weakest Tackle. How many times in the last few years has Lane shut down the best defensive end so the opposing team put the best rush end on Peter's side? This isn't the old days where team just bang their heads against the wall and keep putting their best rusher against the left Tackle.

Khalil Mack is another one, but this immediately comes to mind.

Reagor is a rookie who needs to get as many big boy reps as he can.  I would hardly consider him a "star” right now.  JFC.  You people have lost your minds.

Well, he’s not a star, but I definitely think he has star potential. He’s a guy I would have been looking to protect so close to the season.

Starting in 2012, the NFL and the NFLPA reached an agreement allowing one player placed on injured reserve to be brought back to the active roster.[3] Provided that the player was on the final 53-man preseason roster (a rule exempted for the 2012 season), and that the injury is deemed to keep this player unable to practice or play football for an estimated six weeks, the player may be allowed to practice after Week 6, and be activated to play after Week 8.[4] In 2017, the rule was changed to allow up to two players to return from injured reserve after Week 8.[5] In 2018, the rule was slightly modified due to timing of team bye weeks so players are only eligible to return after their team has played eight games instead of after eight weeks.[6] In 2020, the number of players eligible to return to each team in a season increased to three.[

Says increase to 3 for this year...

3 was pre-COVID. When they negotiated all the addendums in late July about protocols and what not they altered the rule for this year only

Another major change includes the injured reserve designation. Unlimited players can return from IR after three weeks.

That means a player that suffers a hamstring injury and would normally miss 3-4 games will likely end up on injured reserve. This is separate from the COVID-19/reserve list.

Ostman might not even make the team and he was abusing Dillard. That kids gona get Wentz killed

Since Ostman never made the team in his history, if he gets cut is he eligible for Nasty Nate?

Where is this coming from?   By all reports, in years past, Doug has been criticized for running a soft camp.  But let’s say he does beat them up (which he doesn’t). You would think the team would be more prepared in the beginning of the season, if that were the case.   Also, most of the injuries have been soft tissue injuries.  That’s more lack of maintenance than being too rugged.  Reagor Burt himself trying to catch a ball.  Not doing the Oklahoma drill or pushing a sled.  I don’t believe he’s the cause of all the injuries.  The team has been soft for a few years now.

It’s even worse than trying to catch a ball. He got hurt trying to one arm tackle a S after an interception. He shouldn’t have been such a try hard and let the guy run.

Burnett is certainly making a late push

Anyone watching the golf?  Dustin Johnson just hit the most ridiculous putt I've ever seen for a birdie to get into a playoff against PGA's version of Jake Arrieta.  Mr Tight Pants Jon Rahm.

Would be great if the Cowboys don’t get this turd

I mean Jake Arrieta is doing really good tonight gave up a hit on the first batter.

I'm somehow relieved Reagor is only out 4 weeks. Missing 2 games in the grand scheme of things is not a big deal. Unlike a sports hernia, this type of injury routinely gets better with rest. Unlike with DSJ, Reagor taking time to heal is fine.

The left tackle situation really puts into perspective how much of a luxury prime Jason Peters was for a decade. It's the 2nd most important position in football and we didn't have to worry about it once for an entire decade.

Now, it is quickly the biggest problem on the team, and we traded up in the 1st round a year ago to draft a left tackle. And if you believe the camp reports, even had Dillard not gotten injured, it likely still would have been. He to all reports was having an extremely underwhelming camp. Just all around a bad situation and they may have to re-invest significant assets at that position again in 2021 which would be another indictment on our talent evaluation in general.

Hopefully the 2020 class turns out better, positives early on from camp, at least for the WRs.

i wouldn’t be opposed to taking a tackle anyways. Even if Dillard was OK this year I would still do it simply because Lane Johnson isn’t getting any younger and worst case scenario if Dillard panned out you would least Would have lane’s replacement on the Roster Then you could do what you did with Shawn Andrews and Todd Herremans

Good thing all our QBs are right handed.

It was definitely nice how we didn't have to worry about LT for a very long time. Hopefully Dillard can be the starter for the next decade or so. Just need to have a temp LT for this year

I'd even go further back.  Not like he was at the level of JP, but Tra Thomas was a well above averagt pass protector until we traded for Peters.  It's been 22 years since I have actually been concerned about this position.

You don’t "protect” a rookie WR who had no OTA’s.  That’s ridiculous.

Sure you do. Or at least you can.

I don't know why but I thought this group of threads on the Eagles was a kind of sad and funny thing

This thread needs some wholesome material

What happened to James?  I love the Chargers safeties with James and the potential of Nasir Adderly

How was Minnesota able to restructure Ngakoue's salary for this year? I didn't think you could do that after the tag is applied and the date to renegotiate has passed.

Meniscus. Will miss a good bit of time.
