I'm not real comfortable with Jeffery rushing back from a Lisfranc injury. Those injuries are tough to come back from. The last thing I want to see is him out there running routes at half speed, not trusting the foot.

So he'll be back to normal?

Once Peters is back at LT, things will settle in just fine... until he leaves with his first injury.

So game 1 1st half.

My projection was and still is Jeffery never hits the field in a Eagles jersey again if hes healthy or not. Said it end of last year and sticking with it. We have seen this in the past with players the FO/Coaching feels they don't want anymore and cant move on from him. Would be nice if they found a trade partner who needs that one last piece to make a push but it will be tough and a trade deadline trade if at all. The longer it goes the more base Eagles have to pay reducing another teams pay out for him. But Ive seen they bench players before, healthy scratch etc for the same reasons. Lito Sheppard was the one I always remembered the most. He wasnt even a number 4 on depth till finally they traded him to the Jets for peanuts. I think Jeffery gets the same treatment this year. Wouldnt even surprise me if they IR him after the trade deadline if no buyers.

If that’s the case you might as well IR Jeffery as the rules for this year have changed.

It mIght be time to move Giroux, Voracek, and van Riemsdyk. The Flyers need to get younger and faster.

You can't move on from all 3 in one off-season with a flat cap. Giroux has been fine.
One of Voracek/JVR need to go for a faster, younger, cheaper winger.

The Flyers not having both Patrick/Lindblom playing is a kiler. They'd easily be playing over Thompson/Grant.

Idk voracek 4 years at 8.25 mil per year is a hard contract To trade off. I think his is the hardest to move. Likely stuck with him. Giroux if you could convince him to waive his nmc i could see someone taking him on with two years left. Probably a contender who thinks he can be the missing piece. JVR’s contract is slightly better than voracek who’s go 4 he has 3 at 7 mil. I’d leave all three exposed in the expansion draft. I’m doubting any of them are picked up.

Would likely have to include a young, good player to trade Voracek or JVR.  Giroux is tradable on his own.  Can play wing or center- great on faceoffs - good on PP at the circle -has been a captain for years.  Imagine him on a wing with Tavares, Crosby, McDavid, MacKinnon, etc.  Would need a top six center or wing in any trade for Giroux.  He's worth that plus a draft pick at least.  V and JVR not so much

Jags full tank mode

I don't think Fournette was going to keep them from tanking.

I must have missed the Fournette wavier. Just saw it happened this morning. Will be interesting who wins the tank war between them and the Patriots. They must be taking a page out of the sixers book cause it worked out so well for them, lol. sadly though if your going to tank for a number 1 pick this is the year you do it with the talent of that QB and no college football this year.

I think you could get rid of JVR with a high draft pick to be honest but it is definitely a team that’s likely just trying to rebuild and get to the cap floor in doing so.

voracek’s contract you are going to have to eat part of his salary. Even a young player i don’t see a team taking on that contract which has 4 years left at 8.25 mil per. It’s too big. You’d likely have to give up a pick and a young player. It’s really not worth it.

i think giroux is tradable but you have to convince him to drop his NMC which is highly unlikely on his end with 2 years remaining on his deal. And I’m doubting you are getting a top 6 forward in return. Likely getting prospects and pick for him. If you did so last year or two years ago you have a chance. Even then i think you likely are getting high prospects and picks. He’s 32 now and slowing down. Making 8.25 mil per year. He’s declined each of the last two years from his 102 point season. Had less than 60 points this year. I have a hard time seeing a team giving up a top 6 forward for a top 6 forward making a lot of money and declining. Add on he’s been awful in the playoffs over his last 4 playoff series. He has 1 goal in his last 26 playoff games.

Jags have 70M+ in cap space next year (could be 90M depending on what happens with the cap). They have 30M right now.

Teams should be calling Jacksonville to absorb their bad contracts.

You know a team will pick up his wavier at only 4.17 mill for the year. 1100+ yards last season, thats a cheap 1 year deal. Plus hes a FA next year so if he dont work out a easy cut or dont resign.

Still consider it a tank move. I dislike fournette but he still has talent and you did it the day after dealing ngakoue. That wasn’t coincidence.

Im expecting someone to post in the "I want the Eagles to get" for Fournette within the next hour. It never fails, lol.

I’d move JVR. He doesn’t fit what AV wants or AV really doesn’t care for what he brings and doesn’t bring. he’s really been overrated every time he’s played in philly. His contract imo is the easiest to move. Has no clauses and 3 years at 7 million per is palatable for a team that needs a guy who’s a goal scorer. Still think it’s a team rebuilding that’s a low cap team would take the pick or prospect with him. Then try to trade him at the deadline. Would say giroux but his NMC makes it more difficult as I’m doubting he waives it.

They should have let Matt Jones play QB instead of WR, lol.
