He wants 4 more years

Lol I'd laugh

The thing is, the JP "muh munney" thing is what is says to 31 other teams if they look to sign him next year.  A strange way to elongate your career.

How much do you think Reiff would cost? Also I doubt he would take a 1 year deal.

This seems to be kind of a panicky position.

His base salaries this year is $10.9 million, which he has already refused to lower, so I guess that would be the starting point.

I dont think it's a scam. I think it's real, but I also believe that 85-95% of deaths(CDC says 94% are essentially bogus.

Guy gets diagnosed with Covid in Manhattan. 4 days later he was shot and killed. Covid took the "win" because, "he may have survived" if healthy

Little kid in Georgia, first death under 12. Actually the "little" kid was 400lbs, had diabetes, and when the fever kicked in he has a seizure. While having the seizure he drown. Cause of death.. Covid 19

Is it real, yep. are the numbers correct, NOT EVEN F'ing CLOSE.

thats not what their data means.

Their data means that only 6% had only COVID listed on the death report.

All the rest of the COVID deaths still exist and are attributable to COVID.

So this begs the question... Why did they do it this way now?

If someone has(hypothetical) Asthma, over weight, diabetic, and gets huge fever from chicken pox which causes them to die, Chicken Pox gets no mentions any where.

At the end of the day, to die, JUST FOR COVID 19 is EXTREMELY RARE. like 11,000 people in 335,000,000 rare.

Follow the $$$$$. Hospitals are reimbursed my Medicare/Medicaid at 3 times the rate for treating COVID as they are for other diseases.

We already know that the healthy people typically werent the ones dying. Most people who died had something else like diabetes, obesity, hypertension as well. We already knew this.

However, this number does not account for ALL healthy people who died. Some of these death certificates may have been incomplete. Not many people dropped dead of asymptomatic COVID. Even a healthy person who got COVID would likely develop some cardiac issue, or pulmonary issue that ultimately killed them. Those things should also be listed on the death certificate. Like, COVID and heart failure. In a young healthy person. The person died of heart failure, due to COVID. These 6% wouldnt have listed the heart failure. They JUST listed COVID for some reason.

Numbers are still like muddy water.

But the important point is that people realize we havent just erased over 100k COVID deaths. No... those still exist. They are just now telling you how many of them listed only COVID. For some reason.... I dont know why.

Why don’t you just wear a mask, wash your hands, and social distance — like every qualified epidemiologist is telling you to — and not worry so much about analyzing the underlying data?

You’d be much better off worrying about the long term health effects that people are coping with even after recovering; this isn’t like catching cold or flu.

I believe Covid is real., 100% certain the numbers are BS. 10000% sure they're BS for political reasons and 10000000% sure the whole country didnt need to shut down.

Great. People also believe that the Earth is flat, that Elvis is still alive, and the QAnon BS.

How is it panicky? I’m certainly not panicked. It’s just a fact. They are setting the tone for the players to dictate the way things are run.

If we get in injury trouble at cb and Mills has to bump out to CB then should he hold out for more money? Yes, JP is a HOFer blah blah blah but he’s clearly putting himself before the team.

I'm with you here.  You're gonna get bashed, I'll get bashed for agreeing with a Steelers fan but there is far too much not adding up for 30+ million to be out of work.

Is it not adding up or are you just bad at math?

That’s not an acceptable control, nor is it good data.

what would be an acceptable control for your purposes?

Football is a business, and he's making a business decision. The Eagles gave him a $3 million contract with the chance that he could earn up to $6 million. But that was at guard. Now that they want him to play tackle, he likely wants the entire $6 million, which seems reasonable.

If they don't want him to make the additional salary, they can leave him at guard.

In a capitalist society, people have the right to negotiate. If the Eagles can find someone who can play LT better and at a lower price, they are more than welcome to do that.

Mills can always refuse to play corner. And in a communist society we would view them as equal and give them equal say. But in a capitalist society, it doesn't work that way.

I'm glad that your Mom survived but it wasn't the smart thing to do seeing as how the old folks are more susceptible to die from it, things like that make me wonder. Again my thoughts are simply that politicians only care about winning and their parties winning, and they try and use us all like pawns.

I whole heartedly agree with that last sentence.  Hindsight is 20/20.  I bet if an older person shows up at the ER with the flu but don’t need hospitalization, they are sent home. I would liken what happened early on with the virus to that sort of situation.  This whole Justice Department investigation reeks of misusing that department for political reasons and deflecting blame.  Didn’t like misuse of the Justice Department when it investigated civil rights leaders in my youth under Hoover and I don’t like it now.

I also don’t like the politicalization of a health crisis.  I understand a bit discussing leadership.  But the science is important.   I admire Hogan and DeWine as much as some of the Democratic governors.  Hogan, a Republican, heads the Governors’ Counsel and arranged for phone calls with his counterparts every week.  They shared knowledge and resources.  Some of the most successful states at battling the disease were on that call.  That’s leadership.  I am sure everyone of those forty governors would admit they made mistakes.  Sometimes reacting to boldly, sometimes not acting bold enough.  Not seeing to what degree this would be a state issue and the level of preparedness they needed probably haunts them. It’s not a red or blue issue, it is a serving the People issue.

Misreading a statistic and then politically tweeting it is absurd.  Six percent of deaths occurred in people without comorbidities.  I doubt six percent of the people in the Blog don’t have any comorbidities.  Forty percent of Americans are obese and over seventy percent are overweight. Nearly fifty percent of Americans have some form of heart disease.  Close to forty percent of us will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in our lives. Twelve percent with lung disease.  Then there is diabetes, immune weaknesses etc.   All of us will age at some point and have age as a morbidity.  So that statistic does support that Covid is more likely to kill you if you have comorbidities.  We knew that.  What is chilling is that 6% had nothing else wrong with them and it still killed them.  Those college freshman partying should consider that.

One thing that saddens me is we have heard how deadly the flu is so often from this.  Yet, come flu season there will be people that won’t get the flu shot, if they are sick they won’t stay home and won’t wear a mask if they go out, that we will have employers that won’t pay them sick leave so they stay home and there will be folks that don’t social distance during flu season.  Get the shot folks. It is available now.

It's not adding up.  From day 1 what has made sense?  Mask or no mask.  Tall people are now more at risk.  Big box store OK, local store not OK.

CDC and WHO change things daily.  Nothing is concrete.  I feel that if you're going to make a drastic move like shut down our economy you better darn well have the backing for why.  We are seeing now that there's a lot in question.

Just because people look at things in a different light doesn't mean you have to give snarky responses.  I and many others perceive what's happening totally different than you.  It doesn't make me dumb or bad at math.  I'm just looking big picture and stepping back for a minute to say hmmm.
