If Lane is playing, you can protect Jordan with the following: TE Chips RB Chips Running the ball Ghost motion to hold the DE Play-action 3-5 step drops Screens Let Driscoll be the OT backup & Pryor the OG backup. I think of you just want a dark horse to become the next hall of fame player. It doesn't work that way hardly ever
September 1, 20205 yr Even if you start the season with Jason Peters at LT...he's not going to be playing every snap! So when he inevitability gets hurt, who goes in?

The back-up and that's the way it's supposed to work. Jordan can't even block our 3rd string guy at the moment. Starting d ends will kill him and Carson too

Taking him in again today to get results and next steps. At least he's laying down now and not throwing up all over the house like sunday night. 1 hour ago, NCiggles said: Sorry to hear that about your dog. Our dog is 14 and has kidney failure. We are at the point of knowing it's just a matter of weeks. It's hard to see them suffering. As someone who had to put one of my dogs down back in March, I feel for both of you.

To be fair outside of us getting Reiff I think those tactics are going to be used regardless. Ala Vaitai in 2017/2018.

Pray. 5) Pay Peters to move to LT, use an in house replacement for RG 6) Pay Peters to move to LT, look for a free agent RG I still believe this needs to be thought out in the context of Peters not being here. Dillard was drafted to be the Eagles LT, but surely there was a contingency plan in place if he were to be injured. I don't believe 38 year-old Jason Peters should have been Plan A, nor should be. You've got to let the young guys develop. If that's Driscoll or Pryor or whoever -- I don't think it's Mailata, but we'll see. The Eagles just aren't getting a LT in here off the street for less than $8-9M. Roll with the young guys, but don't pray. Take appropriate steps to help them -- chip, use TE help, move Wentz out of the pocket.

September 1, 20205 yr How would this look if McLane never publishes his story and we don't have this notion that JP is demanding to be paid more? Peters starts, Pryor starts, and this all was handled behind closed doors. How many would have been overly pissed that Peters got a pay increase to move back to his old position?

If that's what the coaching staff thinks is the best option I wouldn't be upset at all ...... but I didn't want Peters back after last season, so I'm also open to other options.
September 1, 20205 yr Lane Johnson hasn't practiced in over a week, since before Dillard got hurt. Is it too far fetched to move him to LT and have Driscoll or Pryor play RT? Would that just be stupid to move even more pieces? Is RT still the obsolete position? Protecting Carson's backside should be priority #1. Just thinking outside the box with this o-line mess.

But if you want to know the truth I have no problem paying a guy that is moving from r.g. to starting l.t. a little more dough. I would definitely tie it to playing time though

It will never happen.
