Now that's being dickish just to be dickish - this crap is really beneath these boards and the blog - it's disappointing.

Are you seriously offended by "KungFlu?"  For F sake, it's a message board.

No one said two things couldn’t be wrong at the same time. I never said using those names was correct. I said you should be just as offended by these and also put in medicine a lot of times they use names of where it originated to identify it.

I don’t understand your point. We have been racist and insensitive in the past, so it’s okay to do it now? You can acknowledge we made mistakes in our past, and correct an issue we’re dealing with now in the present. He was speaking about Covid, so I don’t understand why you decided to say, "Hey look at these other racist names!”

Yes, they are also wrong. Is that the response you were looking for? I don’t understand.

Wasn't Vaitai's biggest problem when he had to sub in for players mid-game?  I recall him being a good starter when he had the 1st team reps all week in practice and was prepared.  But when he was put in on the fly, he really struggled.

You recall him being a good starter because he got help. I didn't realize it myself until someone posted something about on the old blog @ManuManu maybe? It was a breakdown of some of his snaps during the Super Bowl run

The way to stop the mobile QBs is to mush rush with physical DEs who seal the edge, because if they dodge a speed rusher who is pushed wide, they have open field to work.

You keep them in the pocket, then pressure the pocket and make them play QB.

It seems the game is shifting towards a quick passing game/run approach to set up the occasional bombs.  Collapsing those initial lanes with premier beef in the center capable of routinely making at least 1 miss or pushing in double teams is the way to go.

Honestly I don't think you should be offended by either. Corona did start in China. I don't as a practice call it that, but I don't see where it's racist to do so. That's all I'll say so as to not start a huge fight in here.

No my point was if you aren’t also trying to get people to stop using those names as well then you look like a hypocrite that only cares about one situation and not another. Even if it happened in the past with then name you should want to fight and change those names as well. But the fact he didn’t bother to care about Spanish flu name but only China becomes pretty hypocritical

just really my point is medicine uses them sometimes to identify where it originated because it’s easier for them to remember the history behind the name When in medical school. As to why i posted them.

Frankly, I think that anyone who honestly believes Carson Wentz isn't a top tier quarterback simply doesn't know football.

Except for the fumbles.  He needs to seriously work on that.  Ten inch hands are plenty big enough.   Protect the rock, Carson.  Last year he lost as many fumbles, 7, as he had interceptions. 14 TOs looks a lot worse in comparison to 28 TDs that the 27 to 7 passing ratio.  16 total fumbles.  One a game.  Not all fumbles are his fault but most were.

I never really thought about it until now because I've had it for so long, but how offensive is my avatar to all the thin-skinned folks out there?  I still laugh every time I click on it.

I like Josh Allen more than most; he's a good player and I think he is making strides .... but I don't see him as a top 100 player, and I likely wouldn't put him in the top 15 NFL QBs yet.

He's Jeff George with legs right now, he progressed pretty decently considering Buff became a pass heavy team.  A lot was put on his back and if he keeps going in the direction he seemed to be he's going to be in that Matt Ryan tier soon.  I know a lot of people laughed at the Jones pick with the Giants, but he has a lot of potential as well.  Mahomes and hopefully Wentz are the new elite tier of non-old heads with some guys hoping they hit their boom and not bust.

The fumbles are an issue, but not enough to pull him out of the top tier imho, some of the plays he makes happen outweighs the fumbles (he still needs to work on them though)

I don’t use china virus or Wuhan virus. I don’t think it is racist but then again i work in the field of medicine and we don’t say MERS we aren’t thinking oh man saudis. Again working in the field of medicine we don’t use them in racial terms. more students retained disease history and origins when a name of a disease is associated where it originated. That’s why they did it.

Ignorance does not mean he doesn’t care, and fighting for one thing does not mean you don’t care about another.

There was also another name used that had nothing to do with place of origin, it’s wrong.

It isn’t racist or hateful.  But you know what is. Calling someone a racist on this board for a ridiculous and innocent reason.  That kind of talk should not be allowed.  But I guess it is. Along with cursing.

Cursing is allowed? son of a **** I didn't Fing know that.

Again So not bringing up those names he stays ignorant about all the names he should also be also saying we shouldn’t be using. All those names they were all given their names by where they originated so they are either all racist or not.

The "Kung flu” one is 100 percent racist. However he got upset about the China flu. Meanwhile the reason medicine tends to use origins in the name is because it’s easier for students to remember the origins when learning about it and also helps with identifying one virus in a family of viruses. That’s a major reason why. Frankly i don’t think it is racist if they refer to it as Wuhan Covid. That way you know which coronavirus you are talking about and where it originated. If it originated in Philadelphia I’d have no qualms about it being called philly Covid. It would give you two facts about where it originated and what coronavirus you are talking about.

also sidebar there’s a ton of people out there that believe Covid 19 stands for 19th corona virus. The 19 stands for 2019 as the year it was discovered.

Yet you tell others, that you don’t agree with to go to CVON or Rant and Rave.  What you really want to police are people that don’t agree with you shouldn’t post but support homophobic and comments tinged with racism.  Consistent in that, you are.

I got to post the S word when the boards went live and mod 12 didn't have the masking filters in place. It was one of my greatest achievements here.

What is the scientific community calling this virus? That’s the name students are going to have to remember. Right now, we all know who is using the term "China virus” and the intent behind it. Please don’t pretend otherwise.

How is it a different argument, what you responded to is exactly what I originally stated?  Since he started playing in the NFL...he was by far the best safety in the league.  Kam was toast because of injuries and even then if Kam and prime Weddle had a love child, that's him.  He was hyped as a generational talent and lived up to every bit of that expectation.  He's been that good.  The league has been void of 'elite'/do it all S's since Kam fell of a cliff due to his hip issue.  The argument is on the compensation, to which I already stated the Seattle values that position more than other teams.  So they're going to get their bang for the buck with him if he stays healthy.

As a rookie, he did not make the Pro Bowl. He was not a first or second team all-pro. He was not the defensive rookie of the year. He did not record a single interception. According to PFF, he graded out at 68.5, which is "backup level.”

He simply wasn’t the best safety in football from Day 1.
