I’m seriously baffled that anyone would be cool with trotting out Mailata or Pryor at LT. Our QB has been through enough. Do we want him to be healthy or not?

Yeah I can’t imagine one of those two is the starting LT week 1 after getting creamed by our PS DEs

Dillard isn’t playing until 2021

I’m sure Ostman and Sweat are a lot better than Young, Kerrigan and Montez Sweat so no worries.

Maybe he owes Dillard money?

Wouldn’t it be something if we signed Glenn to the practice squad.

I have a Facebook friend who lives in Cincinnati and is a die-hard lifelong Bengals fan. I just asked him his opinion on Glenn, and he replied, "Yeah, he's at least competent at LT. Not great, but fairly decent." It sounds like a no-brainer to me.

Incidentally, today is one of my favorite days of the year. Cutdown day is fascinating. Tracking all the Eagles cuts and noting what else is happening around the league. Unfortunately I have to go to a family event today and will miss out on the nitty gritty.

Yeah and at this point that’s the best we could hope for. If he was great he’d be on a roster.

How many teams need a starting left tackle right now? Are there any besides us?

This veteran PS will be interesting to watch. Teams have to pay them like any other practice squad guy. I wonder how many guys around 30 will think it’s worth 10k a week. I’m guessing it will be mostly guys who are fringe players that are fairly young

The highest weekly salary I could find from last year was Maurice Canady making $26,000 a week. Lauletta made $20K for us.

Don’t know. I’m sure a few more will pop up week 1. But there probably aren’t any other teams currently starting a backup guard at LT.

I certainly like the NFL better than college football but I really wish College Gameday was on right now.

Exactly. We can say Glenn is a FA for a reason, but it works a few ways.

1) Maybe he’s cooked.

2) Maybe he only wants to sign if he can be a starter. Like with Peters, most teams addressed LT in a good LT class, and during FA injured players really weren’t able to travel much for physicals.

3) He wanted too much money and his price finally came down.

It starts in a half hour.

Great deal for Watson!

Cordy Glenn is available because he's broken down. If he was good/healthy, he'd already be on a team.

This is at least partially true.  It's also possible that with his injury history and vet status he got very weak offers initially and instead opted to skip camp and see if a team had an injury/underperformer at LT. Wouldn't be the first vet to wait until after TC to sign.

I would guess it's a little of both.

Won’t be the same... not even close. They’ll be spending 15 minutes breaking down Army vs Middle Tennessee instead of 10 seconds

True.

I was all over rosen ? He was drafted 2 years ago I was banned the last 4

I may have liked what I watched his freshman year and said is much . But I never commented on him pre draft or even soph year up until draft.

Watson is good but I think he’s a bit overrated. People speak of him as a lock top 5 QB. Naw. He’s closer to Kirk Cousins than Mahomes imo.
