You are entitled to your own opinion good sir but I just don’t see how you can make this assumption after only 2 years. His first year back was a joke but that was to be expected. The Dallas play I’m referring too happened late in the year last year which is something he can build confidence off of and regain some of that mental toughness you mentioned

Teams threw at him 31 times last year and he allowed 2 TDs and had 2 interceptions. I mean he ain’t Revis but certainly not terrible by any stretch of the imagination, esp for a guys 2nd year.

Cutting Rasul on the other hand won’t get you any pushback from me. That guy was throw to 71 times and gave up 6 tds and had 0 picks.

I think schwartz cut bait with Sidney over sidney not listening to the coaches about bulking up and then kept getting hurt, more so than cuttinh him because they gave up on his talent.

If i had a player and said we need you to bulk up youre too skinny and that player for 2 years said nah im gonna stretch instead id say ok take your skinny @$$ somewhere else then.

As for Douglas bad bad scheme fit.

I had some hope for Hollins and even liked how they went for 2 speed guys with Gibson even though it wasnt their plan. But it was quickly apparent Gibson didnt have it. And Hollins was a very brief flash in the pan before getting injured, and then deciding he only liked special teams. Of course both of those guys ended up being terrible too.

Horrible class.

Gotta love a guy that says he just wants to play teams, great for a rudy movie or a story about a high schooler with one arm that weighs 120lbs not so much for the NFL though😒

The issue is he can’t stay healthy to stay on the field. You can’t keep putting a guy on the roster where he plays a week then the next week he gets hurt.  Misses 2-3 weeks and then comes back and you can’t trust him to be active on game days because he doesn’t stay healthy. At some point in time you aren’t helping the team if your team can’t trust you to stay healthy to be active cause you are leaving games. To me he obviously has talent otherwise I wouldn’t of drafted in the second round. But talent only takes you so far. Gotta be healthy and sometimes ply through injuries.

Can't make the club in the tub.  Jones was a risk worth taking, but boy did he just not show the mental strength to be an Eagle.  The injury was horrible but he never worked it out and he had to know what Gym Shorts wants from a CB.  We move on.

OL wise, kind of interesting though isn't it?  Mailata made it and there must a move or two coming. Is Alshon being traded for another player?  One for those media readers to ponder

i've always had howie's back and he did do a great job at getting the club out of the chip kelly mistakes. but he has failed this team since the superbowl like only 1 ring was all he wanted , sure he's picked a few guys like dallas and miles. he has failed with more players and contracts and now he is talking and the BS is flying.

I know a lot of people love that hollins pick but I absolutely disliked it. Everything I read and heard was what we moved him up from the six round into the fourth because he was such a good special-teams player. When i hear the hype train about ST over WR skills it bothers me. I know Jeremiah and mayock both repeatedly kept saying this.  I am not taking a guy In round 4 who is 6 round talent at wide receiver because of special teams Was impressive and move him up two rounds.

Rudy Ford and Alex Singleton are JAG's and I get it you need guys like them on ST but I think an extra O-lineman, RB, TE would be a much better use of the those spots.  I know there are moves to be made but I saw nothing in Ford last year.

Don't see it staying like that though. Im sure by Mon its different after all the other teams cuts looked at.

Yea, I didn’t mean WIP the radio station, was just too lazy to write out work in progress

the 2019 and 2017 drafts might turn out to bare out sanders and Gerry. Jury is out on dillard, Barnett and JJAW. Gotta hope those three pan out and flourish. If those guys fail two players from 2 drafts is really bad. And i don’t think gerry is anything great.

Maybe he could have avoided injuries if he bulked up like the coaches asked no?

Alshon baby! Super Bowl MVP is still here!

Yea I’m fully expecting he just stays there until whenever the deadline comes and goes

Can’t they once he’s made the 53?

It would have to be a new injury

Possible. I think some of it is also mental. Like you have that happen to your Achilles In a workout it takes a lot. Would bulking up help? Yes but if mentally you are not over that and are overcompensating elsewhere then you are going to keep re-injuring yourself. Mentally i don’t know where exactly he is after the injury he sustained.

yep

teams with bad coverage units give up how many return TDs on a year? Not many.

Id prefer to give a little there, and focus on having legitimate backups for offense and defense since this team struggles with injuries so bad.

Especially with the kickoff rules being what they are now.

Yea, I'm still not on board with this guy.

I know it's a product of our scheme, but tallest of the midgets.

I agree. One doesnt want to have a leaking sieve on special teams cover teams but when one prioritizes punt coverage over roster depth on a team that has a history of injuries i think thats a foolish choice.

Yeah so really could say sanders out of two drafts classes have Proven worthy so far. That’s not good. It eventually catches up to you. Especially when you add in poor Contributions from the 2014 and 2015 classes

I don't like this.  It seems the Eagles love to waste roster spots on guys they KNOW aren't going to play.    7 weeks is half the season.  Even before his injury, Jeffery was a shell of his former self.  I don't care if he's hungry and wants to win.

They've done this the last few years with guys who are "week-to-week" and in the long run they were out almost 10 weeks.  Rather than use that spot on a young guy who can learn and grow it's on a guy who won't even dress.

I wonder with Toohill if the plan is still the PS for him, but waiting another day or two for PS to be formed on other teams to sneak him through the waiver wire

What if he's saying Week 2 for Alshon?

Hope R Williams gets to the prac squad

Yea, seems like a good candidate.
