Good to see his top end speed hasn't slowed down at all.

Yeah, that's kinda weird

This is not a racist comment but I've always thought black culture embraced hoodies year round.  It's part of style.  Kind of like Cholo culture (is that a racist word? describes a culture to me) and how they can wear button up shirts and skull caps in extreme heat.  You'll always see those crazy white guys who wear shorts no matter how cold it gets.

I wonder what the reaction would have been had Mel Brooks said it or SNL mentioned it in a skit.  Not saying it's right to say by any means.

Go back and watch Mel Brooks movies.  Some of his shtick was pretty close to offensive even back when he did it.  SNL has bombed plenty of times so what else would be new.  But also part of it is the context in which the term comes to be used and understood.  When I was young the use of **** was considered respectful and proper.  Now it is viewed as offensive. So we change our approach and work to understand and be respectful.

This is offensive and discriminatory towards those of us with Viking (or Scot or Irish) blood.  Just because you think it is cold, doesn’t mean we do.  I would also point out how much tougher women at than that.  Many will wear skirts and hose in the same conditions.

I agree, was just making a statement based on how people react.  SNL does offensive things all the time.  Half of good comedy is knocking other people and that includes people of other races.

I prefer clean comedy the older I get.  Brian Regan doesn't use any foul language but I've never laughed as hard as I have when I first saw some of his routines.  Sebastian Maniscalco is another.  He swears from time to time but isn't vulgar.  He's Italian and really hits on Italian culture.  Same goes for Gary Gulman.

Russel Peters is a decent comedian and his whole routine is based around how cultures are different.  Half of what makes him funny is his ability to impersonate (not make fun of) other cultures and joke about things that are stereotypically true.

Kung Flu. It is funny and right. Snowflakes can suck it.

Trump has said there are exciting announcements in the area of therapeutics is coming in a couple weeks.  Advances in therapeutics in addressing the impact of COVID-19 are as key as vaccines in getting past this pandemic. I hope this is true and not another false start like we have seen so much with this virus.   If treatments advanced past us having fatalities and permanent lung damage from this disease, it may change how we deal with the disease. If that were the case, that COVID-19 could be treated more like the flu, would we see something like Favre’s game with the flu where he was darn near flawless, from some QB with COVID-19?

China is pretty awful.  Forced labor.  Oppression of Hong Kong despite its guarantees.  Mistreatments of Muslims and Tibetans   Glad you joined those of us opposed to authoritarian approaches.

The question is how did the Marlins players catch COVID? Someone somewhere messed up, bigly - whether travel or in a hotel or at home.  A small warning to NFL players to be sensible and not assume it won't be them.  And teams for ensuring players remain disciplined

So Eagles have until tomorrow to cut two.  Pretty much all of the future contract players are gone.  Suspect they may be trying to leverage some players on contract adjustment.  In the long run, it may be based on numbers at the position.

Lets be real, he probably knows he's not making the team so he gets to pocket an easy 150k

Ummm unless you are going to fight with the history channel/web site about their research i suggest you take it up with them. i believed it was cause the Spanish papers were the first to call out the virus. But history has an article you probably didn’t even read to know why it got the name based off their research.

** also i gave you the article cause you said you didn’t know how it got it’s name. Hence you could learn something about its name since you didn’t know how it got it. Had nothing to do with calling it Covid 19 or something else. Or right or wrong. Trying to  help you learn the origins of Spanish flu name

Also if you are this upset about someone using China virus then. You should also be upset about these which I’m guessing you’re not even aware of. And there’s a ton more that can be attributed as names based off where it’s believed to originate. I would use Covid 19 but it’s not unprecedented that names of disease and viruses after places believed to be of origin

Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever

Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS)

Marburg Virus Disease

Japanese Encephalitis

German Measles

Omsk Hemorrhagic Fever— came from

omsk Russia

Ebola Hemorrhagic Fever —Named in 1976 for the Ebola River in Zaire located in central Africa.

Thank you.

Doesn’t a player need to be signed through at least 2021 to opt out?

Context - Is Dave Chappelle's skit about a blind black KKK grand dragon racist or is it irony / parody / and illustrating the absurdity of racism? Comedians get a lot of latitude in performing their craft. But it still depends on context.

Yeah that's me - wear shorts all year round - except for work.

Supposedly, if he is not on the team next year, he has to pay it back.  If you are UDFA this and take this route, will the team come after you?

There's a lot to dispute in that analysis and there's confirmation bias all over it. Typical: the "Eagles speeded Foles up" and it was because of Vaitai. Uh, no. It was because that was the way to attack Minnesota, whose defense is based on quick pressure. That's what Mike Zimmer does. That analysis is also more than two seasons' old.

Was he as good as Lane? Uh, no. Does that prove anything? Uh, yes...that he's not as good as Lane. As long as we're mentioning that I'll ask: if you're coaching against the Eagles whom do you attack? Lane Johnson or a part-time starter? And if you're the Eagles, whom do you help, of those same two guys? Any fool could anticipate that Minnesota would go after Vaitai rather than Lane. Zimmer did what was expected and Stoutland countered what was expected.

Vaitai is not and never will be as good as Lane, or Peters, and probably not Dillard. That doesn't make him chopped liver. Vaitai would start for the other three teams in the NFC-E, easily. Detroit is paying him $10 M a year with $20 M guaranteed. Surely that means something. Oh, we could argue that it's Detroit, so what can you expect? So, maybe not.

V may not be as good as I think he is but he's definitely better than you think he is.

For a lot of philly phans you're either a perennial all pro or you suck - there is no in between.
