so irresponsible of them if they knowingly put people in danger. If it gets worse the MLB season could be in jeopardy. NFL really needs to monitor this situation and take notes.

All hail the mighty bubble

At this point not sure how you don’t just have the entire team and anyone in the clubhouse quarantining for the next 14 days and testing at the end of the 14 days to see who’s recovered and those who haven’t continue quarantining.

How can baseball even finish the season and how can the NFL even start?

Would be nice to see how many results have come in.

It is not correct to refer to the virus as Covid-19. Covid-19 refers to the syndrome caused by the virus.

The virus itself is called SARS-Cov-2. NO ONE refers to it as that. Its the corona virus, or some other slang term such as The Rona, rona, wuhan virus, Chinese virus.

Is Trump calling it the China Virus just to tick of China since he is pissed at how they protected China from the virus but infected the rest of the world and were dishonest? Yes.

However, this is a SARS virus. There is a middle eastern SARS. And even the previous SARS outbreak was often referred to as Chinese SARS because thats what differentiated which SARS you were talking about. And no one found that offensive under the previous administration. Some of you  hypocrites cant just be offended when its convenient to fit your narrative.

While I appreciate your comments here, this hypocrite believes that "China Virus" and "Kung Flu" were attempts to deflect blame for incompetence and hide behind a handy racist curtain. It is not so much what was said as who said it. That is just my opinion; let no one mistake it for a fact.

Can also take 2-14 days to appear. So you still have another at least 12 days to be fully in the clear.

Cousins at 58

todd gurley at 51

todd gurley: 857 yards (3.8 yards per carry) 207 receiving yards (6.7 yards per catch) and 14 tds

miles sanders: 818 yards (4.6 yards per carry), 509 receiving yards (10.2 yards per catch) and 6 tds.

one is 51 breaking down and the other was a rookie not making the list. The 14 tds is a by product of the rams giving him the ball at the goal line a ton so Goff didn’t f it up. This is more absurd on how gurley somehow made it at 51.

nfl needs to start random drug testing like the days after these players vote.

From your comments and those of others, I am grateful that I had no knowledge of this list and intend to continue in my ignorance.

Probably for the best. At this point it’s comical list

yeah thats a good point. Does it show up on the test results immediately? are the symptoms the only thing that takes 2-14 days or is it the whole thing. If so, the phillies may need to skip the next series.

that's the thing I don't get.  The response is to test for a couple of days and if both are negative, get back to playing?  Sports in a bubble I get.  But if the Marlins go through it like this, how can MLB or the NFL actually expect to make it through a season without so much disruption that the gain isn't anywhere near worth the frustration, let alone the safety issues?

Symptoms. however if Tested negative Day 2 and no symptoms but in day 6 you start developing symptoms you’d like to be tested again to know if you are positive or negative.

from the CDC

To get your test result, please check with the group that performed your test, such as your healthcare provider or health department. How long it will take to get your test results depends on the test used.

  • If you test positive for COVID-19, know what protective steps to take if you are sick.
  • If you test negative for COVID-19, you probably were not infected at the time your sample was collected. This does not mean you will not get sick:
    • A negative test result only means that you did not have COVID-19 at the time of testing or that your sample was collected too early in your infection.
    • You could also be exposed to COVID-19 after the test and then get infected and spread the virus to others.
    • If you develop symptoms later, you may need another test to determine if you are infected with the virus that causes COVID-19.

They can't. We are just fooling ourselves into thinking that it can actually happen, because we are desperately grasping at any piece of normalcy from life before the outbreak. It is a delusion of hope, and I am clinging on alongside everyone. But, I am also a realist and I see what is happening with the MLB after one weekend of play... perhaps this is the litmus test the NFL needs to reframe what a 2020 season looks like if it is even possible.

We are so screwed cap wise next year lol.

yep, which is why the first tests could very well be negative.

So you're all prepping for a reason NOT to go about business as usual? Lol it amazes me the cities still exist.  Gone from National beasts to the most timid of puppy dawgs.

Go raid Soho.  Clowns to the left of me. Jokers to the right.

Nobody knows how this virus is spreading. Not if they are being honest. Even Sweden, who didn't really lock down, appears to be coming out ahead: https://www.euronews.com/2020/07/28/sweden-s-coronavirus-spread-slows-but-immunity-still-a-puzzle

never thought I'd say this being a Gen X'er, but....OK Boomer.

I'm no Boomer.... X Man... and you're scared shiteless. I am X.

Heck if I told you the "whole story" you'd be embarrassed to sit there fretting at your keyboards.

Life goes on. What's the holdup on the test results? If the Phils have it, We ALL KNOW WHO are going to seize a hold of this dawg for all it's worth.

Is what it is. One of those years.

It isn't going to happen.

Let's shake things up.  Our cap situation sucks.  We have Carson, Cox, Johnson and Brooks at the top taking up massive cap space.  They invested in Jalen Hurts.  Let's say Carson does get hurt again and Hurts looks the part.  Or what if in the next 3 years Carson doesn't deliver the playoffs or a title?

When is Carson tradeable from a contract standpoint?  What would a realistic return be if he has been hurt or proves not to be the guy.

Also, please this is just for conversation sake.  I love Carson Wentz and think he gets us a Lombardi before all is said and done.  I in no way want him to be traded.
