So you're all prepping for a reason NOT to go about business as usual? Lol it amazes me the cities still exist.  Gone from National beasts to the most timid of puppy dawgs.

Go raid Soho.  Clowns to the left of me. Jokers to the right.

At least for me, it has nothing to do with my own personal feelings on the virus.  I am not in a high risk category, so in my world, I'm willing to take personal risk of getting back to at least some version of living.  I am equally frustrated with both extremes, and with how we've handled it.  I think measuring success by the number of positive tests is the wrong measure.  I fully bought into flattening the curve so we didn't overwhelm hospitals and bought ourselves a little time to understand the virus.  But, we've since gone from trying to minimize fatality to "nobody gets sick" and I just don't see that as reality.

HOWEVER, there's a big wide open expanse between being paralyzed by fear and taking stupid risk.  to me, MLS,  NBA, and NHL all lend themselves to an appropriate proportion of risk.  As much as I want my NFL,  I think there's simply too much inherent risk there - not in a massive number of fatalities, but simply in logistics.

And as usual, there's just no currency in the middle of this discussion.  Which is why I'll just go back under my rock and keep to myself...

They can't. We are just fooling ourselves into thinking that it can actually happen, because we are desperately grasping at any piece of normalcy from life before the outbreak. It is a delusion of hope, and I am clinging on alongside everyone. But, I am also a realist and I see what is happening with the MLB after one weekend of play... perhaps this is the litmus test the NFL needs to reframe what a 2020 season looks like if it is even possible.

We are so screwed cap wise next year lol.

Kind of have a feeling the nfl is going to have to do a one time amnesty clause type of thing cause the eagles aren’t the only team that’s going to have issues if the cap drops Significantly to 175.

i know theres obvious negatives to me saying this but I’m surprised the nfl And nflpa didn’t talk about 2021 being an uncapped year and everyone by 2022 (hoping things are stabilized during the 2021 season) having to be cap compliant with whatever they made the salary cap that season. Again i don’t think it was ever realistic but i do see some positives and negatives if they went that route.

Let's shake things up.  Our cap situation sucks.  We have Carson, Cox, Johnson and Brooks at the top taking up massive cap space.  They invested in Jalen Hurts.  Let's say Carson does get hurt again and Hurts looks the part.  Or what if in the next 3 years Carson doesn't deliver the playoffs or a title?

When is Carson tradeable from a contract standpoint?  What would a realistic return be if he has been hurt or proves not to be the guy.

Also, please this is just for conversation sake.  I love Carson Wentz and think he gets us a Lombardi before all is said and done.  I in no way want him to be traded.

By the time the Eagles could save any money by trading him from his contractual standpoint, the team isn't in cap trouble anymore

I dont want to get rid of Wentz either... I would trade Ertz (cutting him does nothing for the cap), boot Jeffrey (26m-15m= 11 million), Kelce will probably retire, is Malik Jackson going to perform healthy? It is a mess

wow the first legitimate young player opts out. Goldman is heck of a player

Oh how the mighty have fallen but that's what happens when you hand the baton off to people who begin with all the reasons why things don't work out like the kid from Polar Express. .  You'd have thunk some of the recent past would have done a bit to lessen the effect of the doomsayers. Some things never change. Let's see how the Phils tests come back. Have no doubt it'll be sheer panic if somebody on the Phils has it.

Some of it hate to say reminds me of the decade or so they drug their feet for whatever that beast is called.... the Sugar House? Hilarious. By the time you ever get anyone not scared of their own shadow, the rest of the LEAGUE is 8 years ahead.

That's it. Sit in your house for the next 20 years making  Memememe's lol. Here's the thing people don't get.

Me personally and people like me? Why in the world should we care what you do to yourselves?  Have at it. Just strictly some "observations".

I wish I could be as manly as you.

Don't. Go get yourself a steady beat on the Fab 5. Nobody's telling you what to do Sue.

Gotta Roll. Somebody's not only breaking out the sad Ok Esaison, but then went directly to The Macho Man. Have a great day.

Your choice. My wish? Go out and enjoy what they "left" you of your summer. You don't want to? That's awesome. Have a great day.

So if the season gets cancelled, which it will, is this money guaranteed vs the players not opting out getting nothing?
