Good call, forgot about that caveat. It would make sense then to carry him to the 53 then IR him. With how crazy this season has the potential to be it makes sense to cover all bases if there is a delay.

I’m sure you can catch the Korean Baseball Organization telecast; without being too political I can say they are doing great not having Rob Manfred to screw their game up even further

Can someone answer why players on the fringe wouldn't opt out of their contract?  For instance, if Shelton Gibson or Marcus Green decided last week before they were cut to "opt out," wouldn't they still collect a 150 or 350K salary?  I completely understand that if they don't make a roster next year, then they apparently have to pay that money back.  Do you really think teams will hold players accountable to that?  That seems like a really bad look, and the NFL already has enough of those.
