Meh.  Honestly I think it doesn’t matter who they play.  With this format, anyone can beat anyone in any round.  I’d rather they just work in the PP and PK and get both goalies time in the round robin.   It’s really gonna be more about goalies.

To be clear...my intention was to allude to how current events are eerily similar to the surreal reality created by Kubrick in his movie.  As most should know by now, I am more likely attempting to create a smile than controversy around here.

If I offended anyone, I apologize.

Most of us figured that out. The ones who didn't are probably too young to remember

As a boxing fan I’m trying to decide if I should take any interest in the upcoming match between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr.  It’s supposed to be an ‘exhibition’ match, but if I were Jones, I wouldn’t trust Tyson to treat it like an exhibition any more than I would trust him to give my niece a ride home from a party.

I didn’t like either fighter during their career; they were both easy to cheer against.  They’re both long past over the hill, but the spectacle itself could be entertaining if they both get mad enough to want to win over all else.

I think Tyson wins easily

Are they gonna wear masks? It'll be pretty hard to practice social distancing unless they tie their gloves to broomsticks.

RB Adrian Killins Jr. - 46.

That’s gotta hurt his chances of making the squad.

Gross. There’s even two #46

Also important take away, the Eagles are going double at numbers but leaving 75 open. Should be telling.

To me your intent was clear and on point. That "surreal reality” is all over our world today.

Rode as a kid but working in liability insurance area I saw way too many deaths where the driver didn’t see the motorcycle to get on one again.

Cimarron to Taos is right up there in roads to travel.   Loved the hiking at Philmont  which is right up the road from Cimarron.  We did close to a hundred miles in ten days backpacking there when I was an Explorer. It’s been decades since I have been to Cimarron.  Last time I was there I did grab a drink at the bar at the St. James Hotel.  Quite a storied place.

I had drinks at the St James too. Never saw a ghost, though. That was four decades and change ago. I still remember how clear the air was. I could see trees ten miles away with the same clarity as one three feet away. And the sky at night! Wow!

You’re not walking on a bike.

I had one for a few years. Honda 750. Loved it. A winding hilly road on a sunny day - paradise. Rode cross-country on it. Route 64 between Cimarron and Taos is the most beautiful stretch of road I’ve seen, followed closely by the Pacific Coast Highway.

Then one day I’m going around a traffic circle in New Jersey and a car came into my lane. I leaned over as far as I could, my front wheel was under his bumper, and my right foot was on the bumper. He took the first exit off the circle before our tires touched and I survived without a scratch. The driver never saw me. I drove home and sold the bike the next day. I’d completely lost my nerve. Never got on a bike again.

Had my first road bike in Washington State in college. 1982 Suzuki GS550. Winter break I'm visiting my girlfriend in Yakima - yes I was riding it in winter - we had a fight - I left mad - (it's important to note that all the named streets in Yakima - at the time - were through streets and the numbered streets stop streets - except for 6th street - I forgot probably because I was mad) - drove right through - almost - the 6th street intersection before being hit by a car crossing - can't remember what road I was on but it was 4 lanes - it was winter and the snow was piled up between the two directions so I had a decent soft landing after I flipped over the hood.

The bike was banged up pretty bad but not totaled. I didn't have money for a repair shop but I had it back on the road in less than a month.

My next bike I bought while in the Army in Augsburg Germany. 1988 Kawasaki Vulcan 750. I was outside the dealership looking at bikes when a rider went by and hit a car that pulled out in front of him sending him flying about 20 feet through air. To our amazement (the salesman and me) he got up almost immediately and walked back to his bike (totaled - unrideable) I think he was in shock.

For those that don't know Germany, the Autobahn is not 1 road/highway but rather a system of freeways much like the Interstate system in the US. In fact, Eisenhower modeled our Interstate system after the Autobahn which he had seen during WWII. But the Autobahn aren't the only roads without a speed limit. A lot of country roads between towns have no restrictions. There was 1 particular winding country road that I liked to ride through - leaving 1 particular village - no restrictions - open range on both sides - approaching a curve (to the right) was the start of dense forest on both sides - essentially a blind curve - normally I would take this curve slowly and closer to the center line. But I had a girl with me that day and I was trying to make it fun so I was a bit more aggressive. This meant tilting the bike and flattening the curve - the girl had ridden before and knew to keep her head between my shoulder blades in curves - so she didn't see what happened.

Two cars came through the curve in the other direction - side by side - I don't know if they were racing or if 1 was just passing the other - but I think racing. At this time we were on what little shoulder existed but only missed getting hit head on by less than 2 feet. It felt like I could have reached over and touched the closer car. I immediately pulled over, got off, and it was at least 30 minutes before I could stop shaking. If that doesn't deter you I don't think anything will. I'm a glutton for anything that will make me scream like a little girl but that had my life flashing. Still - I kept the bike, brought it back to the States. I sold it a few year later and haven't owned a bike since but every spring when I see riders I get the urge.

In the "no fans” era, NHL has the best presentation so far imo. It’s noticeable but seems almost normal

Shut it down.

Dang, maybe we were drinking at the bar together. About the same time for me.  One of the things I miss most about the west is the night sky.  Laying on a blanket or the hood of my car watching the meteors and the satellites going by with the Milky Way spreading a path across the sky.

This is a weird one...

Good thing they decided to go to the casino. Absolutely ridiculous by the cardinals and marlins knowing the situation and going to strip clubs and casinos.

This is about as 2020 as anything I've see recently.  Maybe murder hornets got him.

Cespedes is an odd bird so hopefully it's just him making a statement or gearing up to opt out or something. But the wording is odd...
