Best CB in the draft falls to 22.  Howie has finally drafted a CB in the first round.  I was convinced Howie would outsmart himself and grab Barton.

Damn bro looks real sad on what should be the happiest day of his life.

I like it.

GREAT PICK

Maybe he was disappointed he wasn't taken higher.  Or it was emotion.

Later:

Confidence and swagger, our defense needs that badly.

Question: What would you bring?

"Intensity, ball skills, turnovers, interceptions."

:flex:

If I remember correctly, people were saying the same thing about DeVonta Smith's draft reaction.

This is a gift! Best corner in draft at our biggest position of need and we still have both seconds and can take BPA from OT, edge or LB.

My wife wanted to know if he was upset. Then I showed her the pics of him celebrating with the fans. Cool player, I’m excited and didn’t cost anything extra

First…i dont know enough about these players..to really criticize or critique, wether they are worth the pick or not..

but i do have a question regarding this kid and toledo…

why take this kid that apparently was really good for his school over some of these players that play for Alabama or LSU?…seems to me that the cbs playing for bigger schools play against better wrs…

again, before ya’ll think im against this kid, I AM NOT against the pick..from what ive read and heard i hope itll work for him and us.

He had really bad academic grades in HS so he didn't get big school offers. Toledo gave him a chance.

2 years in, big schools, including Nick Saban, begged him to transfer, but he felt obliged to Toledo for giving him a chance.

He went to the senior bowl and smoked all the top WRs there.

If you watched his pre draft videos this guy is all business and focused on achieving huge goals

Some people jump and flop around after being drafted.. others know the journey is just beginning and focused on being the best player in the league, they’ll celebrate when they accomplish that

This dude gonna ball out.

Howie did not seem as excited as he usually is when talking about his first round selection.

I think we should also be giving a big shout out to Atlanta, Minny, and Denver for all their desperation in reaching for QBs in the first, not sure what Atlanta's reasoning was.  But it definitely helped in allowing Mitchell to drop to us.

Liking this.  Mitchell and Ringo are the future

They should be.

Listening to his interview now.  Lower energy.  Definitely not the big cocky personality-type.  Gives the "correct" answers, but that doesn't reveal much.  It appears that he doesn't think he's earned anything yet.  Hasn't arrived yet.  Still driven.  I like that.

I don't understand nose-piercings.  Why would anyone want that?

(I'm old.)

Quinyon smoking dudes at the Senior Bowl.
