Clever. When they play in Green Bay in the snow they’ll be invisible.

I know you’re at least half joking, but aren’t these special alternates almost always home jerseys?

Not really. It's just going to be a small piece for LeBron to help attract him to Philly this summer.

Would love to be gone of Hollywood Lurie.

By reports hurts has thrown a bunch of interceptions so far. He had a down year last year. Barkley has had to carry offenses before. Its not trolling to point these things out.

OTAs are where they push things. No concern about anything, other than injuries, coming out of OTAs.  Main focus is on fundamentals.  The passes in 7 on 7s combine getting a feel for the receivers, what they do to get open and for the CBs to practice their positioning. Note the focus on Campbell.  New WR that is likely #3.  A Smith just started practicing.

I am excited to go from an under experienced Harper leading the secondary to a seasoned pass game coordinator in Parker.  Also exciting to see some competition at corner.  Love the focus on versatility.  I expect better disguises under Fangio.  Interesting that BG said more simple.  Think that was a slap at Patricia.

Of course you want to get rid of the best owner in team history by far.

Your commitment to being wrong about legitimately EVERYTHING is really impressive.

Not sure that is odd at all.

I don't think many at the time of signing imagined him at G was realistic. I can't imagine any other team coming close to having two starting G's the size of Dickerson and Becton.

Was it Buddy who had the Eagles wear white so the fans could see their opponents in their home uniforms?

The architects determine whose offense it is.  If Nick AND Moore are the architects, than this isn't Moore's offense, this becomes a Frankenstein's monster situation.  If Moore decides, alone, what goes into the offense, and he is the sole architect, then it is Moore's offense.

And no, this is not 'Hurts' offense'.  It may be an offense that best suits his skill set, but Hurts is not the architect of the offense.   In this analogy, he might be the foreman, he might be the chief engineer, but the offense doesn't belong to him.  His primary job is execution of the design, not creating the design.   Yes, elements of the offense comes from many sources, but there needs to be a SINGULAR voice in charge of what goes and what doesn't with the offense, and for me... that voice needs to be unequivocally be the voice of Moore.  This should be his show.

If the coaches aren’t getting input on plays from the players, especially the QB, that would be bad.  AJ and Devonta talking about freedom in the routes is exactly that.  The playbook is going to gather in all the input as will the game plan.  The execution is where there needs to be a primary voice and that primarily has to fall on the coordinator.  I say primary because the audible is on Hurts.  But the construction needs to be a group effort.

Anyone have a Bloomberg account to fill us in?

Bloomberg reports that Philadelphia’s ownership group has been exploring a potential sale of a minority stake in the franchise.

Jeff Lurie is exploring a sale of a minority stake in the National Football League’s Philadelphia Eagles, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.

Lurie is working with BDT & MSD Partners to solicit interest from potential suitors for a stake in the team, which may be valued at more than $7.5 billion in any transaction, said the person, who asked not to be identified discussing confidential information. The $7.5 billion figure represents a multiple of roughly 11 times revenue, and would represent a record price tag for an NFL team.

According to the report, the size of the minority stake hasn’t been disclosed, but it won’t be enough for a potential partner to attain any majority control of the franchise.

Laurie has controlled the franchise since May 1994, when he acquired the Eagles from the infamous Norman Braman for a reported $185 million, a record for a sports team at the time.

It basically says this is going to be more of a thing now in the NFL with this:

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40164039/private-equity-nfl-ownership-proposal-changes

So expect more teams to be doing this as well.

A move to allow private equity firms or institutional wealth to invest as limited partners could free up cash for owners to pursue projects such as stadium renovations and would represent a large shift in how the league has historically operated, with the majority of franchises traditionally run as family businesses with single-family ownership.

As the league continues to explore changes, what could this mean for teams? For private equity funds? If this happens, how could this all work?

Bradberry fell during warmups on Day 1. Not sure about the others.

It’s a hybrid determined by the players’ strengths and capabilities to run the plays, what has worked in the past, what wrinkles they can install etc.  This suggestion that it’s Nick’s offense or Moore’s offense is nonsense.  It’s Hurts’ offense primarily with Moore calling the plays.  The plays come from everywhere, other programs, Nick, Kellen, Stout, Patullo, Nussmeier, Pagnetti, Singleton, Moorehead, Micheal, Valero, Yelk and Dickerson and probably even defensive and ST coaches and even scouts.  But the architects are Nick and Moore.  But everyone has their assignments in addition to teaching position fundamentals. It does sound like they are incorporating more motion.  But is that because of Moore or is it the success other teams have had with it, that Miami twist.  I’d argue that it is all of that.

Well said

As odd as it sounds, Becton vs Steen might be a TC battle to watch.

If Becton is open to it, I feel really good about Steen at RG w/ Becton backing him up, or vice versa.  That will be a true TC battle I think.

Ideally, Steen wins that spot and Becton is the swing tackle.  I think they would prefer that because, if something happens to the OTs, they don't have to change 2 positions along the line.

Well Becton is the swing tackle already I think.  It would also be nice if he could also back up at RG if needed.

While I see this rationale, I’m with @jsb235 in wanting the five best guys out there.

Yeah of course…which is why I said ‘or vice versa’

Sorry. I think I was reacting more to something @Cliftomasaid and hung my post on the wrong comment.

What pleases me is that our OL is shaping up nicely and the lack of depth that worried me before now worries me less.
