I see your point but the Fog Bowl was terrible as far as watching the game.  Couldn't even see what was going on.  It might have a cool name attached to it but the game itself was awful.

It also caused the Eagles, that really should have curb stomped the Bears, to lose that game.  It was their best chance at a championship that year with that defense and Cunningham.

Another Edge rusher down for the year

It's a concern now.   Mid-late round picks and NFL scrapheap signings year after year.  Just one good LB would be unbelievable.

Sure. So, the same as always.

Are you familiar with the event that might have started the Philly curse in 1983?    The Phillies fired their manager while in first place.  July 19, 1983.

The Sixers won the NBA Championship on June 1, 1983.  And then there was nothing... until October 2008.  25 year curse.  You want another one?!

I know a lot of people blame the William Penn statue thing... but I think it was more about firing Pat Corrales... while in first place.  I'm not saying that it might not be warranted... I'm just saying, there might be dire consequences.

BTW... I'm not superstitious at all... but that's a weird coincidence.   And it's interesting that it was the Phillies that finally broke through.

Wow, that's interesting. Thanks for telling me that.

Parris Campbell or John Brown winning the #3 WR position and playing close to their potential would be huge. Their speed will open up so much for Brown and Smith

He got hurt during the one period of live hitting Thursday night. Guessing his injury was going to keep him out a few weeks.

They waived him, then injured him too? Savage!

He's gonna start a business venture with Ryan Moats called Castles and Moats.

I'll show myself out.

@hputenis

You coming to Baltimore for the preseason game? I need you to fight bacarty while I take on his kid

They definitely should have stomped the Bears but I'm not sure they would have gotten past San Fran.

Careful.  That kid is like 27 by now, no?

Never would have thought 3/4 sprint Dallas Goedert was faster than all out sprint Jalen Hurts.

They didn’t even add more years just gave him more money.

They covered something up with Hurts last year. It was reported he hurt his knee with the Bucs, but he was slow way before that game.

Anyone else disappointed that Greg Ward isn't getting a shot this summer on the team and if they aren't bringing him in to be able to compete that they aren't bringing him in on the coaching staff?

So the tush push was not banned, directly, but rule changes seem like they will certainly change the play.

While the Eagles "Tush Push” play was not banned by the NFL this off-season, there has been some changes to the rule regarding QB push plays.
Via Mike Florio:
"Rule 7, Section 5 (position of players at the snap), Article 1 (offensive team), subsection (d): "No player may take a position that is neither clearly on, nor clearly off the line of scrimmage, unless he is directly behind the snapper. Only one player may be in such a position, and he must wear an eligible number, unless he has reported in accordance with Rule 5, Section 3, Article 1.”
Per a source with knowledge of the situation, the league added that language at the suggestion of the referee group. The goal was to clarify that only one player — the quarterback, typically — is permitted to be in "no-man’s land” between the line of scrimmage and the backfield.”
"The league decided that it doesn’t want multiple players aligned in or near the "A” gap and immediately pushing on the quarterback after the snap. If they’re going to push at the snap, they need to start the play clearly in the backfield”

That's horrible wording.

By definition, if you are not ON the line of scrimmage, then you are in the backfield.  There is no in-between location between the two.

Focusing on the A gap, I suppose would make it clearer... but there has never been restrictions in the past on where in the backfield players were permitted to line up.  7 on the LOS, and 4 "in the backfield".

Over legislating seems inevitable.

They didn't cover anything up they reported about his knee all the way back to the dolphins game.

That's my bad I was thinking the playoff game against the bucs for some reason. I still thought they said he hurt it and it was not during a game that could have been before week 1.

It really wasn’t a cover up, it was more of a downplay. Hurts said himself he was dealing with something.

Well, you don't tell the opposition that your running QB can't run, leave them guessing whether it's week to week or a season thing.

Did he have off-season surgery?

He definitely tweaked his right knee and was lucky it wasn't fully blown out on this run against the Rams last year.
