Hurts going to be throwing a ton this year.

Brown 100

Smith 80

Goedart 60

Dotson 50

Barkley 50?

That's 340 with none to anyone outside that group.  He completed 352 last year for a career high.  He could very well complete 400 passes for over 4,000 yards this year.

Offense has been pretty much built to either throw the ball or hand it off to all of the weapons. He can do his runs but odds are someone will be open

I think you can shave about 30-40 from Brown, Goedert, Dotson and Barkley, and spread those around to a few other targets.

Howie is elite. Top 2 GM in the league.

Only other WR trio that comes close to us is Houston: Dell, Collins, Diggs.

Hill, Waddle and Beckham Jr aren’t better but they are in the same ballpark

We’ve come a long way from Mitchell, Pinkston, Thrash days

Howie really traded a 2024 4th + 2 7ths for a 2025 5th and Dotson.

Wizard.

He better. Mediocre QB's can put up those numbers with these weapons

Took the day to move my son into his new college dorm... and I hear that the Eagles traded for Jahan Dotson.  I know they gave up a 3rd... and got a 5th back.   So, the value is a little less than a 3rd.   But that's a hefty price.   He has 3 years of team control left on his contract though.   I wonder if Howie is thinking only short term... and going all in for a run this year.   Or, is he seeing him as more of a reclamation project that he hopes to flip for more in a year's time.   Or, would he consider moving one of Brown or Smith if Dotson hits here.

Personally, I am just looking at it as an 'all-in' type move for 2024 and 2025... and if anything more comes of it, it should be interesting.

I'm sure @paco could dig up the cap hits. I don't see Brown or Smith leaving. Dotson has 2 years left on his deal. That's 2 years we don't have to worry about a WR3

There's the 5th year option, as well.

Did we just sign Deshaun Watson?

Cap hits for Dotson?  I did in an earlier post but it was a little over 4 million per.  This year is probably under that since there was a TC bonus. I didn’t bother to figure out that final number.

I doubt the Eagles would pick that up. Little pricey

Or  don't pick up the option, let him play out his contract and let him walk as a FA after 25. Then.......

I was talking about Brown and Smith

Yeah, look at the number of targets they received to have those interceptions thrown compared to Dotson.  He isn't in the same ball park of targets as those other WRs.  Those are also WRs who are likely going up against double coverage and the teams beat CB.  Dotson on the otherhand was not the Commanders top option but every 12 targets to him an interception is being thrown.

Compared to the others listed on there:

Hopkins an interception every 23 targets.

Evans an interception every 25 targets.

Hill an interception every 30 targets.

DeVante Adam's an interception every 28 targets.

Let’s just disregard the mediocre at best QB play/offense as a whole Dotson played in.

Dotson is here as WR #3. Post something from a reasonable source saying he was a lazy or poor route runner and then maybe you’re onto something.
