Just hopefully it won't be debilitating. Anyone saying this doesn't impact them is either a liar or insanely rich.

But then we're running the risk of pricing increasing significantly so we just pulled the trigger. I'd be pissed if we hold off then have to drop an extra 100k on the project in 2 years. Good problem to have I suppose I'm thinking similarly, I may upgrade and modernize my hvac system earlier than I was thinking, as I can see some of those components skyrocketing.

Redoing the deck and making a side entrance into a screened in porch. Bought in 2019. Refinanced in 2021. In the neighborhood we want to be in. So major remodel makes way more sense than moving.

Similiar boat there as well. We like it so much better in South Jersey than when we were in Toms River (population increase in that area is nuts), we bought pretty cheap down here and almost tripled our home value in the last 4 years. This is where we are staying until we leave the state, probably 10 years away.

Yeah especially when you don’t know what the rates are gonna do. If you’ve got a good rate it’s a no brainer to just tweak what you want. I’m guessing the half garage is for the lawn stuff?

Not worth it to me.

I have an old HS friend on FB and he kept talking about "finally doing a real budget and stop kicking the can down the road" and now he's totally silent. As for the other stuff, let's see what they say when Trump starts threatening military action against Canada.

Have you noticed that MAGA regret only starts when something affects them? I doubt they care much for anyone other than themselves, much less people across a boarder they've never met.
